SHATTERED DREAMS

One week later.

Princess Kyra changes her focus to get to know supernatural beings as she wants to fight for herself. If her parents do not fight for her, that doesn't mean that she will also throw her weapons on the ground in defeat.

Prince Charles and Prince Gabriel were playing in the garden of the Castle. The rulers of the Empire were busy with the people's problems. Princess Kyra is also sitting in the garden at the side.

The palace garden has a beautiful emerald-green patch of grass surrounded by well-maintained hedges. The garden has a smaller section of flower bushes and hosts a busy ant community. The hedges are around 1.2m/4ft tall and are exceptionally well-maintained, making them unique. A polished marble pathway runs through the garden, leading visitors to the best views. The vines and roots are well-contained, but they appear too eager to try to stretch their boundaries.

The garden's main attraction is an ornamental structure that is the source of pride and joy for its owner. The smaller flower bushes and hedges are equally breathtaking. However, the garden's main highlight is the ornamental piece, which undoubtedly steals the show.

Princess Kyra was sitting at the side of the table on the patio when the two princes ran toward her and said, "Sis Kyra, Sis Kyra, come play with us." She looks at her brothers, pulls her hand from their hands, and continues to read books and write down notes.

They share a look as if they telepathy with one another so their plan gets successful. Prince Gabriel snatches her book, and Prince Charles holds her pen.

While implementing their plan for Kyra to join them, an ink spill damaged the papers on which she had written a bundle of sheets.

Princess Kyra yelled at them as she jerked her hand away, "Why are you so careless? You ruin these papers. I was working on them the whole time. While you both were enjoying your life being Princes."

Listening to her yelling from the garden, the Emperor and Empress come out to see what happened. By the time they come out of the throne room, they catch sight of two crying Princes and a fuming Princess. Prince Charles and Prince Gabriel get scared at Princess Kyra's yelling as it is the first time she shouted at them.

Empress Mary steps forward and asks them, "What happened? Why are you both crying? And Kyra, why are you shouting early in the morning?"

The two princes are aware of their mistake as Prince Charles replies, "We want Sis Kyra to play with us, and in the process, we spill ink on her papers. We are sorry, Mumma and Papa. Sorry, Sis Kyra."

Princess Kyra fumed, "Sorry!! That is an easy word for you all, but not for me. Can you make them look like the previous one?NO! You can't. I was working on them for a week while all of you were sitting in your rooms."

Empress Mary raises her eyebrow at Princess Kyra's accusation, "What is this behavior, Princess Kyra? Do not forget whom you are talking to!"

Princess Kyra replied coldly, "Oh! I apologize, Her Majesty. I forgot who I was."

Emperor Frederick shouted at Princess Kyra, "She's your mother, Kyra. Do not forget that. Show some Respect."

Princess Kyra scoffed, "Respect? Mother? I am sorry, His Majesty. I don't want to say this, but the day you both gave up on me, you lost the chance to say this to me as parents. And one more thing, You only have to tolerate me for six more years. Bear with me!!"

With that, she turned around and left the garden. She was hurt. First, her parents didn't think about her. Second, they give her false hope, and third, they shatter her dreams.

She feels they will give you false hopes and then destroy them.

However, they also gently remind her that lashing out at her younger siblings is not a way to handle her emotions.

As time passes each day, Kyra maintains a certain distance from her family. She avoids having breakfast, lunch, or dinner with her family. If Kyra faces them anywhere in Castle, she changes her route to the opposite direction.

One day, Emperor Frederick tries to talk to his daughter and ask for her assistance in the throne room, but she refuses to come downstairs.

Princess Kyra maintains her distance from the throne room and her family despite it being her once-favorite place in the Castle.

As for Empress Mary, she avoids coming in front of Princess Kyra. Empress Mary is guilty because she is the one who says yes to the devil after looking at the condition of the Empire.

After telling the truth and quarreling with her siblings, Empress Mary didn't say anything to Princess Kyra and let her do it. It's not like she doesn't want to stop her, but Princess Kyra's becoming rebellious gradually. Empress Mary wants to talk to her but sees her attitude and chooses against it.

As for Princess Kyra, she's in the book room most of the time. Mage Luke struggles to talk to her after that day, but she glares at him. Emperor Frederick shook and looked at his wife and said, "Kyra didn't enter the throne room after the revelation for the court meetings. When I asked for her presence in the throne room to discuss some topic, she said that she was not feeling well, but her maid said she was in the library from the morning."

Empress Mary nods and adds, "It is quite unbelievable for Kyra to say no to entering the throne room." Emperor Frederick nods, "Kyra also stops saying she will be Empress of the Qeania Empire."

Empress Mary says with teary eyes, "We break our daughters' hearts. It was her dream to rule over the Qeania empire." Emperor Frederick pats his wife's hand to console her. They knew that they were the reason their daughter was hurt as they shattered her dreams.

Empress Mary says, "We need to announce Prince Charles as the heir. Noble will stay quiet after that." Emperor Frederick nods.

Princess Kyra stays in the library, and no nobles are happy in the courtroom because they are terrified of Princess Kyra, the most in the royal family.

Emperor Frederick reminded the nobles about the attack of the dragons and the deal they wanted. It's not like they let it slip from their minds. It's just that they wanted him to clear them about his successor. They didn't bug him later because it would be two more years before Prince Charles turned twelve. He also warned nobles better not to talk to the Princess about the succession.

For everyone, nothing changes, but for Princess Kyra, everything changes. She always feels that she will be coronet as Crown Princess. She's preparing for it. Whenever she had questions, she went to her father or uncles, but now they try to talk, she ignores them and leaves that place. The servants of the palace were gossiping about Princess's behavior these days. It's like their lovely Princess is changing into someone else.
