"Wahhhh!"
The newborn baby cried out in the car as the couple argued. They stopped the argument and sighed as they both turned their head to face the opposite direction.
Ethel had a lot of thoughts in her head. From the pain, she felt to the case of her baby to the decision her husband had made.
'I have to act very fast if I need to save my kid'
Ethel thought shaking her head left and right. She didn't want her son dead. She then decided to escape with her kid whenever she got the chance to do so since they planned on staying in Masan for a while. She closed her eyes to pretend like she had fallen asleep.
Soon the car stopped. She heard the sound of the door opening and closing. She lifted her eyelids. Fredrick was gone.
'I should do it now', She thought to herself and immediately she raised herself and opened the door of the car to come out. She opened the back door and took her baby who already stopped crying and had fallen asleep. Holding him in her two arms, she ran with the last energy she had in her.
"Honey?"
Ethel shook and paused the moment she heard her husband's voice and she turned around slowly as tears began to roll down her eyes. Her plan had failed. That was the only chance she had since from that moment, Fredrick would be more cautious. She wasn't in her best condition so she couldn't run as fast as she would on a norm. What else would you expect from someone who had just delivered her first baby?
Fredrick moved to her slowly wondering what she would be doing, running with the kid. Stunned, he quickly moved and took the kid from her hand.
"Don't take him away… Don't kill him please…"
Ethel kept crying.
Immediately Ethel handed over the kid to Fredrick, she walked out and entered the hotel. Fredrick didn't say anything. He just kept staring at her wondering what trick she might want to pull next. He felt uneasy.
'I have to act fast.'
Fredrick kept panicking. He then moved ahead at her back, following her into the hotel. They entered an elevator and she rested her head on the wall in the elevator.
After about 5 minutes, the elevator stopped and they got to the floor their room was. The door opened and they got out. Ethel moved ahead to the room but Fredrick didn't follow her. He turned and took a separate route
"Where you headed to?"
"Toilet. I'll be right back. I Need to make a phone call."
Ethel moved ahead. Fredrick brought out his cell phone and dialled a number. After two beeps, it went through.
"Hello, It's me"
-"Hey Fred, What's up? Haven't heard from…..."-
"Sorry to interrupt you, but this is urgent. Can you help me get a ticket scheduled for the next hour?"
-"Yes I can."-
"Please help set it up as soon as possible."
-"Okay. I'm on it."-
"Thanks"
-"Seems it's a little urgent but when everything is settled, tell me about it."-
Fredrick ended the call and then moved back to the hallway as he kept the cell phone in his back pocket.
Fredrick kept moving until he got to a room with a tag labelled '225' on its door. He opened the door and saw Ethel sitting on the bed with tears on her face. He moved to the bed and dropped the kid on the bed. He then sat near her apologizing to her for the inconveniences he has caused her but she didn't stop crying.
"Humph"
Fredrick sighed in annoyance and stood.
"You need to rest. Would you like tea?"
Ethel nodded.
"Alright"
He went to the kitchen in the room and placed a cup under a coffee mixer. It started to drop coffee into the cup little by little. That was when his plan to leave that country began. He threw in two tablets of sedatives into the tea.
Ethel kept staring at the man who wanted her son dead. She hadn't expected him to come up with a plan as ridiculous as that. She glanced at him as he left the kitchen, walking towards her with the cup of tea
She reluctantly lifted the cup and drank the tea. Fredrick made a light smile. He stood.
Soon, Ethel started acting strange-the sedative already started taking effect. Fredrick smirked as he began to pack their loads, getting prepared for his plan. He carried the baby and began to leave the room silently so he won't disturb his sleeping wife.
He ran down the hallway to the elevator to go down.
As soon as he left the hotel, he moved to his car and opened the door, then he dropped the kid inside. He entered the car and drove out of the hotel. He took out his phone and placed it in the phone holder at the dashboard in front of his car.
"Sara….."
Fredrick said as he kept looking at the road. He drove at full speed, turning the steering right and left.
"… where is the nearest orphanage to my present location."
Fredrick then turned his eyeballs to look at his phone. One was out already.
'SPRING LIFE ORPHANAGE' showed up with directions beneath it. It wasn't that far from where he was. He turned the car to a road at the right. He soon found it. He came out and saw the building.
"I am sorry, son, I have no choice. Please live, your mum is already going murder me for this."
Fredrick looked at the baby who had already gone asleep. He looked up. Everywhere was quite dark.
"I am going to drop you in the orphanage right now kid… Please stay alive… I know fate will allow us to meet again in the future by..."
Fredrick looked up shocked. He already started hearing sounds of sirens coming towards them.
"Shit!"
He had no choice. He dropped the baby on the ground after a short gate. The baby was quite noticeable. Anyone who goes through would see him. But that was the only option Fredrick had. He couldn't help his wife with her wish. He ran back into his car and drove off.
Some set of men wearing the uniform of patrol officers showed up. They passed by the orphanage looking around for anything suspicious. Luckily for Fredrick, they didn't notice the baby. The infant was covered in black blankets which had camouflaged with the darkness and the dark ground.
