Chapter 7: A Lesson in Power 3

Lance watched as the three Androids rushed him, each coming from a different angle of attack. Aiming to at least catch him off guard. If only it were that easy to do.

Reaching inside of his long coat; Lance pulled out the high powered pistol he kept on his person. It wasn't a part of an Agent's typical loadout, but it was one he used quite often in battle.

Instead of holding it how one would normally use such a weapon. He held it by the handle like a grip, with the barrel of the gun along the underside of his hand almost like a sort of secondary guard.

The first Android to get to him was met with the back side of the gun slamming into its chin sending it staggering back, as he spun around slashing out with his blade cutting through the metal of the female Androids arm. Severing it from her body. While at the same time flipping the pistol around in his other hand putting a hole in the head of the last untouched android.

The three Androids all fell back, each with a matching look of bewilderment. As if they didn't expect a single human to be able to handle the three of them at the same time.

"What in the world are you?!" The female sputtered as it looked at its severed arm. "You're supposed to be a lowly human!"

"I am less than human. Less than the waste a human creates. I am an Agent with the Elite classification." Lance explained simply flipping the gun back the way he was holding it.

As soon as those words reached the audio receptors of the Android. Did she realize exactly what they were up against. As Mach 2's they weren't properly equipped to deal with an Agent of that strength class. They mainly dealt with handling the normal weak and novice of Agents.

Even with the three of them together, they weren't strong enough to take him on. A fact which was confirmed when the human swiftly took out her companions. Without receiving a single blow.

"I hope this answers your question." Lance spoke as he walked past the female model. Sheathing his blade with a subtle clack noise as the female model fell over motionless. "Because that's the last one you'll ever ask."

Tessa danced around Andros delivering several quick strikes to the Android. Aiming to buy Septum some time to recover his senses enough to participate in the fight.

"You're pretty quick, but not strong enough where it counts, little girl." Andros said smugly, picking up his own pace grabbing one of the wakizashis before delivering a blow to the girls sternum, with the cap at the end of its elbow shooting out, before driving back in delivering another wave of force strong enough not to only send her flying. But to send her slamming into the wall on the opposite side of the room they were on with enough force to crack it.

Tessa slid to the ground coughing up blood. Her vision blurring to the point that she swore she saw at least three Androids in the room with her.

"Come on Tess…you can do it, you're not this slow or this weak…push through dammit." She muttered to herself, wiping the blood from her lips. It was really starting to become a pain the more the sickness drained her of not only her energy, but her strength.

She managed to get to her feet, right in time for her face to be level with the Androids incoming punch. She watched as the fist came inches away from colliding with her face, as a blade hit the Androids arm from below as the fist flew mere centimeters from her face grazing her cheek.

Septum gripped the hilt of his blade tightly as he slashed the Android across the chest with a deeper slash that cut through the synthetic skin with enough force to send it back a few inches. Just enough to buy them time to react. To watch his movements, how it charged itself up before launching into full speed. How it seemed to take a second or two to read their movements before charging in a way that would overwhelm them.

It was built to be the perfect form of death. Able to strike where a human is most vulnerable, where it would deal the most damage if it didn't kill them after the first strike.

Focusing on the Mach three before them. Septum thoroughly put the pieces of the puzzle together. Reading its moves as it read his, acting not to what he saw. But on instinct, moving where his body willed him to move, striking when it willed him to.

"Flow like a river Sep, and you'll find yourself being able to hold your own with even the toughest opponents." Juno's words ran through his mind as he began blocking and parrying the Androids attacks. Pushing his muscles to move faster for a more extended period of time acting as the shield.

While Tessa acted as the blades, by flying between Septums and the Androids movements striking at the Androids joints and body with targeted slashes aimed at both slowing it down, and damaging it enough where Septum can make a strike with enough force to bring down the Android.

It was a plan they didn't need to convey through words. When two skilled Agents worked together; They didn't need words to convey any kind of strategy. They simply acted following this 'flow' that they can subconsciously read. Doing whatever was best for any specific situation they were in.

It was why most Agents were silent fighters. It was definitely a part of their beings that Andros disliked greatly. When it came to Agents, they were nothing but business.

He preferred the normal humans who'd usually have some existential reaction and survival instinct that they gave some degree of entertainment with combat.

But Agents were silent creatures, who acted with a level of lethality that if he let his guard down. Andros was dead.

"You two work well with each other. You do this before?" Andros asked shifting some in his movements striking Tessa's arm, which forced Septum the adjust leaving him open wide for another gutshot. This time followed with the use of the piston in his arm. Which added enough force to send Septum flying into the cracked wall, then through it. With clouds of dust and debris filling up that corner of the room. "Or is it just first time luck?" Andros added as he held both hands in front of his face. Fully prepared to kill the girl in front of him.
