Chapter 15 - Forgotten Past P-1

Ravenna was ready to test her new armor, but she hadn't noticed her surroundings until now. When she emerged from the endless dimension, she found herself in an open area that seemed empty as far as the eye could see.

Lost in her conversations with Lumina and focused on creating the armor with her hair, she had forgotten to pay attention to her surroundings. Now, the reality of where she was began to sink in her mind.

A sense of confusion washed over her, a fog clouding her mind. It was as if she had awakened from a long, dreamless sleep, only to find herself in a place that felt both familiar and strange.

Ravenna knew herself, Lumina, and the extent of her power. But as she prepared to test her armor and looked around, she realized with a jolt that her past was a blur.

The memories of her kingdom, her people, and her own identity felt distant, like shadows flickering in the corners of her mind.

She had spent so much time in the endless dimension, a hundred years, that she had forgotten her own self.

It was like trying to grasp water with her hands - every time she thought she had a hold on a memory, it slipped away.

She gazed out over the landscape, shielding her eyes with her hand to get a better view. All she could see was an empty field, dotted with a few rocks here and there, and the brown earth that gave the place a desert-like feel.

Curiosity sparked in Ravenna's mind. She had gone into an underground chamber inside her castle in her kingdom, but she had no idea where she had emerged.

Her gaze darted around, her head turning in all directions as she tried to make sense of her location. "Do not worry," Lumina said, sensing her thoughts. "I know what you are thinking. Do not fear, my child, you are in the same world. Do not worry."

"I will tell you," Lumina continued. Ravenna's tension eased a bit, knowing that Lumina could tell her and understand her concerns.

Lumina floated above Ravenna's head, its light casting a soft glow and began to explain.

When Ravenna snapped out of the endless dimension, she did not emerge in her own kingdom but far away from it.

At the time, she was still understanding her own power and had no control over her teleportation abilities. Even then, she couldn't control it. So, in her unconscious mind, she sought a safe place.

Unconsciously, she teleported to this safe location far away from her own kingdom because her kingdom was at war and ruined.

"The time you spent in the endless dimension was over a hundred years," Lumina continued, "but only a few years have passed in the current world. A new king now rules over your land. Your magic instinctively found a safe place for you, teleporting you to this desert north of your Lunar Kingdom. Here, in the emptiness, only a few tribes live, and there is no concept of a kingdom."

She felt a mix of emotions - shock at the realization of how much time had passed, sadness for her lost kingdom, and a determination to reclaim her home.

Ravenna's mind flashed back to the last moments she remembered in her kingdom. An unknown king had attacked her realm, seeking to conquer her lands.

She remembered the chaos and destruction, the screams of her people, and the fire that ravaged her home. The images were vivid, as if it had all happened just yesterday.

The time she spent in the endless dimension was over a hundred years, but only a few years had passed in the current world.

A new king now ruled over her land. Her magic instinctively found a safe place for her, teleporting her to this desert north of her Lunar Kingdom. Here, in the emptiness, only a few tribes lived, and there was no concept of a kingdom.

"Did I forget all of this? How?" Ravenna's thoughts echoed in her mind.

The realization hit her like a storm, memories crashing into her like relentless waves against a fragile shore.

It was as if the sands of time had buried her purpose deep within the endless dimension, leaving her with only fragments of her past.

Ravenna's heart ached with the weight of forgotten memories. It was like waking up from a long, dreamless sleep, only to find that everything familiar had changed.

She had been so focused on understanding her power and creating the armor that she had lost sight of her original goal.

The pieces of her past, once distant and hazy, now sharpened into painful clarity.

The faces of her people, the sounds of battle, the sight of her burning kingdom - all of it surged back into her mind.

She felt a mix of guilt and sorrow. How could she have forgotten? The time spent in the endless dimension had dulled her memories, making her feel like a stranger to her own past.

But now, with Lumina's reminder, everything came flooding back, as if the gates of a dam had been opened.
