FYI, I'm basing everything I write on how the synopsis is written. I can understand when people drift apart. That happens. But would that really happen over let's say 10 years? (18 is when you become an *****, she was 8, so I'll just say 18). When people go through trials and tribulations in real life, they usually stick together. In real life, a persons personality IS NOT STATIC. If the Prince is initially arrogant, he can become more humble as he is faced with more and more perilous situations. When the female MC is too kind-hearted, she can become more vicious as really f*ck up sh*t happens when you play the i-gotta-be-king game. JUDGING from the synopsis, the female leaves the MC to be with another dude because their characters DID NOT ADAPT AND OVERCOME. What was the point of doing all of that first arc just to throw away everything? What, is status quo god? If the characters are not static, then the sypnosis realistically would make no sense, doing a good novel injustice. If the characters ARE static, then the person who wrote this book should quit writing and do finance or open up a shop somewhere else (basically don't write, keep your dirty hands away from the paper/keyboard). Either way, I'm not comfortable at all with the novel. Like, did the Prince cheat? If so, then he is a complete douchebag. How the hell am I supposed to vibe with a male lead like that? Did she just leave him for no good reason? How am I supposed to vibe with the female lead like that?
People are entitled to do whatever they want, including leaving a person that they were with. Except when they do that with no justifiable explanation, they come off as just a really bad person in general.
Now, for my first reactions upon seeing this synopsis:
Damn, what a f*cking *****. Now, if you girls asked if the gender was swapped, I would still say "what a f*cking *****." They go through thick and thin, and she like, goes for another dude? What? And then she goes with a dude that was fancying her ALL THE WHILE (stalker-ish maybe? Was he purposely sabotaging them or something?) What? What? What?
