14. My saviour

"Grandpa.. I'm sorry.." the girl's soft voice rang in his ears and he got choked with various emotions building inside him.

Old Master Bi lifted his trembling hand and stroked her fluffy brown hair.

"Why are you saying sorry? You're the one who suffered under my roof.. I should be the one saying sor…." Halfway through Mo Ling interrupted him.

"Don't say that. I should thank you too.."

Old Master Bi wanted to say something and opened his lips.. but closed them again after thinking that there were others in the living room.

Yes, he excluded even his only grandson as other people.

"Let's go to my study and talk." With that he stood up to go to his study.

Mo Ling nodded lightly and followed him.

Old Master Bi and Mo Ling sat facing each other.

They both stared at each other for some time. Mo Ling has a smile in her eyes when looking at the old man before her.

"Yes." She nodded and said.. "Thank you for saving me."

She knew that there's some reason behind her rescue and that's connected to Old Master Bi. But she didn't know what exactly that was.

"Yes.. your mother Li Yue. She's my saviour."
