Earth's Colonization

The legislative block of Zhongnanhai Complex was crowded this morning even though it wasn't twelve noon yet–the official meeting hour.

This was in response to an impromptu memo sent out thirty minutes ago by the Premier. The tone of this message was very urgent to say the least. Apparently, even the chief executives of the Republic were to compulsorily attend this meeting as well.

It was a good thing that most of the government officials resided in Zhongnanhai anyways, so the super large meeting hall was rapidly being filled as they trooped in promptly and took their seats.

In the same hall, Elder Yi glanced around, looking rather bored. She didn't understand why all these protocols were necessary.

But it was Zhu Lan who told her that she had to officially display her might to the entire government officials and not just a single figurehead to officially take over.

Actually, that was exactly what Elder Yi had done earlier. The second she landed in the complex, she had grabbed the most important-looking person present and announced her power usurpation. The person who turned out to be the Premier of the State Council had fainted due to the her overwhelming spiritual pressure, and Zhu Lan had stepped in to give a timely suggestion on how Elder Yi should go about it.

According to her, Elder Yi had to make the officials all gather in the same place, show a display of her power as well as reveal some information about outside cultivation civilizations, then claim the territory in one swoop.

By now, Zhu Lan had a genuine change of attitude towards the witchy-looking woman. Perhaps it was because the old lady had the intention to take her in as a disciple, but Elder Yi went out of the way to explain who she really was and revealed some extra details. Zhu Lan easily folded when Elder Yi mentioned the perks that came with being her disciple, particularly captivated by the premise of gaining a superior status not just on Earth but beyond.

"With Master's status, I wonder if I can introduce livestreaming to the cultivation world," Zhu Lan's imagination ran far as she comfortably adjusted her seating posture.

Elder Yi stood up at this moment. The hall was now at full capacity and she could begin.

But, instead of adhering to Zhu Lan's proposition of utilizing subtle subjugation tactics, she decided to to go about it another way; using direct force.

She was a True Cultivator after all and didn't need to be wishy-washy about her actions.

The strong made the rules and did as they wished. She was the strong one here, and these mortals would have to adhere to her logic whether they liked it or not.

Without warning, her aura swept across the entire hall, freezing everyone present. But this time, she controlled it intentionally such that nobody lost consciousness.

"I am Elder Yi representing the Universal Council," her voice echoed in the hall. "And today, I'm officially taking over this planet."

One and a half hours later, Elder Yi returned to the Void Ship. She took Zhu Lan along and introduced her to the three cultivators on board.

"I'll be talking with them for a while," Elder Yi said to Zhu Lan. "Meanwhile, there are a couple of mortals on the ship. You can go talk to them if you wish."

Zhu Lan was curious but didn't ask any questions. She simply nodded.

Afterwards, she explored the ship, eventually finding the main cabin. Elder Yi already gave her special privilege, so the restriction on the doorway did not apply to her and she easily entered, bypassing it.

"Who's this angel?" Huang Shang was the first to notice her and he involuntarily spoke out loud.

Zhu Lan took a glance at the skinny boy and wrinkled her nose distastefully. Di Tian noticed her expression and frowned.

Meanwhile, he carefully observed her. She was a mortal like them, he was sure about that. It was her dressing style that gave her away; unlike the odd garb of the cultivators, she was dressed normally–according to modern Earth's standards at least.

It seemed some of the others also came to the same conclusion, including Jiang Po.

"Damnit, another one," he slapped his hands on the hard floor. "Are they capturing more people?"

Di Tian did not actually think the girl was a captive. She was too smug, too relaxed.

"Hi, my name is Zhu Lan," she introduced herself proudly. "You might have heard of me, I'm Star Fairy, ranked number seventy-two on Black Crown Net."

Everyone froze at her words, displaying expressions of bewilderment.

Of course they all knew what the Black Crown Net. It was China's most popular livestreaming app. Now, what was confusing was why this girl was introducing her ranking on the platform.

Zhu Lan pouted when she did not get the reaction she was expecting. Could it be that none of them here even bothered to livestream every once in a while?

"Who the hell is this dummy? Also, she's acting like she knows something we don't." Liang Qiang's exasperated voice sounded in the minds of the other eleven present. She was presently communicating through a Mind Link– which was the special ability of one of them present; Telepathic Linkage. It was really amazing how easily they were all adapting to and mastering their special abilities.

"I think we should ignore her," Di Tian said. "She has an attention complex, we only need to act like she's transparent and she'll spill."

All of them echoed their agreement.

Zhu Lan was unaware of their secret communication, but she slowly saw their expressions morph into distaste as they looked at her impassively.

Being used to expressions of admiration, Zhu Lan felt uncomfortable and involuntarily tried again.

"Master said you guys have been here for almost twenty four hours now. Don't you guys want to know what's happening on the outside?" She said. Surely, this would move them.

In the Mind Link, several chuckles echoed.

"She's spilling already, she mentioned a 'Master' just now," It was Jiang Po's voice.

"She looks like she's about to cry, what a wimp," Liang Qiang's voice was triumphant. Di Tian detected hidden envy and secretly chuckled to himself.

"You....who are you laughing at?" Zhu Lan saw Di Tian's smirk and thought he was mocking her.

Di Tian's smirk turned to irritation and he said directly, "Look, do you want to tell us something or not?"

He wasn't typically volatile, but Zhu Lan's expression reminded him of the young lady, Miss Auna.

"Hey, watch your tone," Zhu Lan responded aggressively. "Afterall, compared to the rest of you, I'm presently miles ahead of you all in status. While You're all hapless subjects of the new Earth colony, I'm relatively lucky as I have a badass Master."

"Earth has been colonized?" It wasn't just Liang Qiang that was frowning, most of them were.

"It has," Zhu Lan said smugly. This was what she wanted; to see despondent expressions on their faces and not distaste at her.

Zhu Lan promptly reported more details. Apparently, her Master 'visited' the top government posts on the planet within the past ninety minutes in turn, officially taking over as the Supreme Commander of Earth.

All the countries yielded easily, especially after an incidental 'example' that happened along the way.

This example was the United States of America. With their extensive spy network, their government quickly caught wind of Elder Yi's coup d'état voyages around the planet and attempted to nuke her from a distance.

Elder Yi actually negated the entire impact of the nuclear weapons without any injury at all and calmly retaliated with a single palm strike.

Although she intentionally controlled the lethality, the result was akin to a mini modern-day Hiroshima. The entire capital of the country was turned into an apocalyptic wasteland.

Zhu Lan slyly reported that the government officials of Japan had seemed exceptionally pleased when the duo dropped by the government post in Tokyo.

"Of course, Master used a carrot and stick approach too," Zhu Lan finished. "She's going to be hosting a global competition later to commemorate our integration into the cultivation world."
