Chapter 69: The situation of the world

Henry decided to head to the source of the sound to see what had happened.

When he got to the scene, he was scared beyond words.

"What is this?"Henry muttered to himself.

He spotted a lifeless body on the ground, it didn't have some of its limbs. There would be holes in it.

It would be almost like some things had chewed on the body.

The weirdest thing is that blood is not coming out from the wounds. The inside of the wound is pure black.

Some sort of dust is coming out from the wounds. When Henry took a closer look, he noticed that the atoms were turning into ashes.

"Never in my life have I seen this, "Henry thought to himself then the sound of notification flashed his retina for his attention.

Henry didn't immediately read the newest notifications, he started reading from the oldest to the newest.

His eyes scanned through the useless notifications and ignored them. Henry begins to prepare the important notification.

"So that's what has happened, "Henry said with a long sigh.

(The system has descended upon the world and has entered the lives of all living beings.

Humans have received the system as an interface, and some of the humans will have unique features unique to them. Most of the humans will have the same features.

Wild beasts also have the system in a format that they can understand

1) Spiritual recovery.

Your passive spiritual energy recovery will increase by 10 times, you can convert your sword intent, life force, and earth spiritual energy into normal spiritual energy.

If you have enough of it then you can heal yourself in a matter of a few seconds.

Your wounds can also be healed by using spiritual energy but the consuming of spiritual energy depends on how severe your injuries are

2) Enchantment

The durability of your body will increase by 400 percent, your spiritual energy will become 70 percent purer. The density of your bones and muscles will increase.

It will increase your physical strength greatly. However it's not activated passively, you will have to use your spiritual energy)

Henry read the dozens of lines of words on his retina. As he read them, a bored smile appeared on his face.

"These features will increase my strength tremendously, let me see the other notifications"Henry muttered under his breath.

He was about to continue reading the lines of words. However, all of a sudden, the sound of the emergency alarm resounded throughout the place.

The gate in front of him opened up, then thousands upon thousands of soldiers started to come out from the door.

He didn't panic even in the face of the army.

A loud sound resounded through the place.

"You are surrounded now, give up or prepare to die even though you have killed our leaders, I am pretty sure that you can't defeat an entire army, "A middle-aged man armored from head to toe said while trembling.

Hundreds of arrows made from extremely strong material were directed towards him, he didn't panic a little bit.

"Oh, I will have to destroy the crystal to delay the death of Lucy's family. Let's complete this Mission first before reading the rest of the notification"Henry thought to himself.

He tightened the grip on his sword and channeled the remaining spiritual energy that he had into his sword.

Even though his dantain is currently empty, he feels it getting filled with each passing second. The rate of spiritual energy recovery is really quick.

"I should be able to recover my spiritual energy within the next 10 minutes completely"Henry muttered under his breath.

He closed his eyes, and the sound of the middle-aged man resounded in his ears again but he ignored it.

"Last warning, if you don't drop your weapons and let us seal your spiritual energy then you will face death"The middle-aged man declared through the transmitter.

Henry ignored him again, this caused veins to show up in his head. He gritted his teeth so hard out of anger that it started to bleed. All of a sudden he screamed.

"Soldiers attack him and archers open fire"The middle-aged man declared.

The archers let go of their arrow and upon thousands and thousands of Qi-gathering realm soldiers rushed to attack him.

When the arrows were a few centimeters away from Henry, he opened his eyes widely.

He took a deep breath, the world around him had slowed down. The scenery was replaced by an ocean.

The sound of raging waves calmed down his nerves.

He quickly dodged the incoming arrows, he looked at the archers. They were in a neat formation.

"They are in a formation. If I can break down the formation then they will be like pigs waiting to be slaughtered," Henry muttered under his breath.

He focused on their formation for a few seconds, a few seconds later golden spots appeared in some areas of the formation.

He looked at the numerous cultivators charging toward him.

"Let me quickly take care of them, "Henry thought to himself.

He swung his sword 360 degrees, and any life forms within that area were killed. The bodies of dozens of cultivators fell to the ground lifelessly.

An enormous slash appeared in most of the cultivators. They were in different parts of the body.

Blood flowed from the wound like water coming out of a broken dam.

The swing also produced strong gales of winds infused with sword intent. These gales of wind were traveling at an incredible speed throughout the place.

When it made contact with anyone, their bodies would be ripped to shreds due to it.

"Done, now it's time to take care of the archers," Henry muttered.

Everyone on the battlefield was in a state of complete disbelief, he took advantage of this shock and disbelief.

He charged towards the weak point in the formation of archers. A second later, one of the archers saw him charging towards them.

He then roared, alerting all of the other archers.

"My comrades, the enemy is charging towards that pillar, snap out of your daze and lock down your bows towards the enemy." The archers roared at the top of his lungs.

With that roar, all the archers in the area snapped out of their daze and locked their bows toward the enemy. The enemy is Henry.

In a synchronized move, all the archers released their arrows simultaneously, aiming them at Henry.

The sky was filled with a torrent of arrows, creating an illusion of a rain of deadly projectiles descending upon him.

The sheer volume of arrows in flight painted a dramatic picture, intensifying the imminent danger that Henry found himself in.

He remained calm, he wasn't worried in the slightest due to the arrows.

"As long as I can break those pillars, the formation will collapse and I will be able to destroy the crystal," Henry muttered under his breath.

He charged towards the pillar at an incredible speed. With each step he took, it produced strong gales of wind and he also grew faster.

The arrows were just a few cm away from him, but a strong gale of wind had been produced that was infused with his sword intent around him.

It ripped apart any arrows that came his way.

"Mystery over sword intent has increased a lot"Henry muttered.

He appeared in front of two main pillars, he channeled whatever amount of spiritual energy that he had recovered into his sword.

He then slashed the foundation of the main pillars vertically. The two pillars were cut in half, and upon slashing it hundreds and hundreds of smaller pillars collapsed.

This caused the death of thousands of archers.

"Damn, he knows our weakness!!"One of the archers roared in complete horror.

The morals of the remaining archers immediately fell to the bottom. The ground soldier's morals were also affected.

He didn't stop, instead, he jumped around the entire place, slashing the pillars in half in less than a second.

With each swing of his sword countless archers were killed.

The middle middle-aged man sighs.

"We will die today"The man's sigh carried regret and many other emotions.
