Engagement

In another residence of the Gu family.

"Where is the old madam?" Mrs. Gu asked a servant. After getting her answer that she was in the back garden, Mrs. Gu hurried over.

Seeing that the old madam was watering tulips with a watering can, she raised her voice and called out, "Mom!"

The watering can fell to the ground. Elder Mrs. Gu clasped her hands, her face blossomed into a smile. "Engagement?!" Ning Shan blurted out in shock.

"Grandmother, who do you think should handle the engagement matters?" Gu Minghuai asked in a low voice as he pushed his wheelchair slowly downstairs.

Ning Shan panicked and tried to explain, "Grandmother, no, actually, Mr. Gu..."

She wanted to explain that she wasn't really Gu Minghuai's fiancée, but was only making it up to help him, but Gu Minghuai stopped her.
