Chapter 94 : Calling Matthew
*Trinity's POV*
My scream had already taken me out of the 'keep the attacker calm' state, so I figured I could just keep going at that point.
As the scream escaped my mouth, it seemed to surprise Brett and I used that to my advantage. I grabbed his hand off my arm and yanked it, using the momentum to pull me off the bed and force him onto it.
I ran to the door before he even had a chance to recover and felt the adrenaline and joy as my hand wrapped around the handle. I was going to do it, I was going to escape!
But when I pulled…nothing happened.
The joy I felt flickered.
"It locks automatically when it closes," Brett noted, and I whipped around to face him.
"Stay back!" I yelled, pressing my back against the cool door.
