3 Enigmatic Individuals

[At Outline Preserver on the final day before war]

"Grythor, We would need your help in this battle. Why are you denying my request? The war is upon us and we only have right now. I don't even know what the heck would be happening tomorrow at this exact time, Like would we be winning or, losing. So Please, You just cannot betray us right at the last time." Samol begs.

Grythor replies Samol, "I understand your need of me in these urgent situations. I am quite well aware of the upcoming war. You tend to believe that i am ignorant of timing, Yet that's not the case. I see what you don't. So, in this very moment, I know future more than you do. The situation might seem hopeless and now even more hopeless, as your tendency to assume i betrayed you right at the last moment. But that's just not simply the case. Infact, There is hope. There is more hope than you can see. The Light shines brighter than what you are seeing, Nothing but darkness. Thus, Have trust in me. Just because i won't join the battle as your planned doesn't mean we lost. Quit your delusional assumption. Your assumptions are nothing but an empty vessel for lies."

"Tsk... Fine, Do whatever you want. Do not blame me when we lo- Nevermind, I take my words back. Perhaps i lack strong conviction in your decisions. Just send your guards on fight." Samol says.

Grythor replies, "I also cannot send cosmic watchers in war either."

Samol's eyes widen as he hears response from Grythor and stutters, "W-W-What do you mean by that?!"

Grythor answers, "You heard me the first time, Thus, There's no need for me to repeat again. It is what you think you heard. However, I can do you favour..."

Samol swiftly says, "And, That is?"

Grythor speaks, "You have comrades other than your own army. That's the good news, However. From your prespective, This is going to be a bad news."

Samol replies with, Confusion, "B-Bad news? How so? You said we have more comrades that will help us, So... I do not see bad news here."

Grythor simply replies, "Well, You have 5 new comrades. So, for quantity, You might say, It is indeed bad news. But, These 5 are no joke. As you should not underestimate these 5. 2 of them are teenagers and other 3 are trio spiritual beasts who have been training for years in other realms."

Samol pauses as he processes what grythor has just said before saying in confusion, "P-Pardon me? Did i hear it right that you said, there are 2 teenagers, huh?"

Grythor states, "Yes, That is exactly what i said."

Samol responds with perplexed expression, "Ok... Other 3 whom you called, 'Trio spiritual beasts' sounds about right. But, What exactly does those 2 teenager intend to do in this war? Can they even withstand the sheer presence of demons... No, No, No. I went easy on them. The question sall be, Can they even perceive demons with there human eyes in the first place?"

Grythor doesn't responds as he slowly fades into darkness.

Samol takes deep breath and let's out deep sigh and says, "...I guess we are doomed, if those two kids are also joining the war with us. But, How exactly did those kids even came to know about there's war between us and demons. I am pretty sure, No human on earth should be aware of this war."

Samol slowly stands up and starts to walk towards his office.

Upon arriving, He notices a silhouette of a person is standing outside of his door.

Samol speaks, "Yes. You have my permission to come in."

Door slowly opens as the person walks in.

Samol slightly wide open his eyes as he notices person walking.

"Oh... Well, well. Mrs. Sorceress. Been quite a while since your last appearance." Samol remarks with a mocking tone, yet smirking.

"Your as curt as last time. Nothing really seems to change about you, Idiot." Sorceress retorts.

Samol's expression swiftly morphs into serious as he responds, "Well, This is no time for fun and games. I have to go. I have something to do."

Sorceress scowls and replies samol, "Oh really? What 'something' to do? OH! I see, So. There's upcoming war held tomorrow."

Samol comes to halt mid way as he hears and pauses for few moments before finally responding, "Should have known. Ofcourse, You are sorceress. Thus you will keep an eye on headquater even when you just vanished."

Sorceress says, "Well, A sorceress gotta do what she gotta do. I have to keep an eye on you to be up to date about what your going through."

Samol simply replies, "Alright fair enough. But, What exactly made you come here?"

Sorceress smirks as she responds, "Well, I am here to tell truth. But the real question is, Are you fully ready to hear it?"

Samol responds with, "Go ahead, My ears are up."

Sorceress answers, "Well, Sorry to break it to you. But, Your gonna lose tomorrow."

Samol's whole body freezes in shock and disbelieve as he hears. He is flabbergasted by what he heard with his eyes widen.

Samol tries to gather up energy to respond with, "W-W-What did you just say?"

Sorceress answers, "You heard me the first time. Now, Stop acting like you didn't heard. And, Yes. It is exactly what you heard."

Samol starts to tweak with rage slightly as he exclaims, "DARN IT! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN BY, 'WE ARE GOING TO LOSE TOMORROW' HUH?"

Sorceress answers in calm tone, "Demons are going to gain triumph over you. And, That's how it is."

Samol chuckles at Sorceress answer and replies, "Ha! No. You are wrong."

Sorceress gets surprise by Samol's answer and replies, "What do you mean by i am wrong?"

Samol smirks as he states, "I talked to Grythor. Although, He refused to join the battle. However, He mentioned that there would be 5 more individuals who will be joining this battle and they are strong. 3 of them are trio who were training spiritually and well... Other two are teenagers. I don't know, What these teenagers are trying to do. But, I am not gonna argue as Grythor mentioned them. Thus, Leading to something like, those two are some kind of prodigies. I believe in Grythor."

Sorceress nods as she replies, "Oh... That's umm... Cool for you, I guess. After all, Grythor is the leader, So yea. I think there must be a hope for Grythor for refusal and relying on 5 individuals you mentioned. Well, I wish you all best of luck."

Samol curiously asks, "And by the way, Why don't you join the battle with us, huh? It would increase the winning chances, wouldn't it?"

Sorceress hesitates as she answers, "Uh... Um, About that. I think i am fine with not participating in battle. I, Honestly, Do not wanna die. So, You all can handle it. I believe in you."

Samol's expression rapidly shifts into dissapointment as he replies, "Oh... So your being scaredy cat? Ah, Wasn't expecting this from someone like you, Mrs. Sorceress. You know how to control nature to you will, yet you refuse. Well, nothing but dissapointment. Whatever."

Sorceress immediately starts to get embarrassed internally by what she said. She tries to act like she doesn't care, but her expression soon transforms from cool to slowly regret.

Samol walks outside of his office, leaving sorceress behind and alone.
