powerless or not? Part 1 - the past

17 years ago, 23rd July 2032...

That was when I was born, I was a mistake, I was born into a world of magic yet I had no powers at all. I was rare, after the outbreak in 2029 there were several mutations which caused 99.9% of the world to have superhuman powers. Only a few hundred people don't have power and i was in the unlucky few hundreds.

There should have been a couple million of people that had no powers but there were probably killed or they couldn't live in the harsh environment created for us "reapers".

We were given the name reapers because in society we are viewed as monsters, failures, weak, nothing but an animal. In fact even dogs were viewed better than us.

Everyone hated us. It was hell...and the worst is that we can't do anything.

My name is Vivian, Vivian Oakley, remember that.

Right now I live in the streets, i was an orphanage, they kicked me out at the age of 12, the age where you find out if you have powers of not, as soon as they figured out that i was useless they got rid of me.

I am going to say it again, my name is Vivian Oakley and this is MY story.
