Chapter 33: Gold law

the surrounding crowd gathered around as soon as they heard wayne shouting about bets

some of the figures leaped into the distance to get their friends to join into the fun

soon there was a crowd of people surrounding wayne in the middle

he loved this feeling, he knew that he was about too make big money from this fools but never the less he had to put on a good show, wayne wasn't worried about the people who knew about his ability as most of them had died in the valley and the few that remained well no one would think that he would be stupid enough to use such a useful ability on bets

especially when there was not much to gain, but little did they know how much was to be made from this.

with one flip of a coin he would know what he needed to bet on for him to win and even though he could only use his ability twice he wasn't too worried as even though they were in the door, the was little danger as the group was camped here and were not going anyway for the next few days.

" ladies and gents do we have a playmaker ? " wayne shouted out

" aye!!!" a big guy with muscles shouted first but wayne ignored him there was no need for meat heads in setting up bets

a man soon walked out of the crowd, this was one of the people who followed behind theo

the man was dressed in elegant clothes with red and golden embroidery and patterns

" you can call me Bai, Bai lang " the man said with grace

as soon as he said his name the people grasped in surprise, and soon there was great chatter among the group

" did he just say Bai? "

" from that Bai clan? "

" are they out of isolation "

max who was among the crowd and watching everything with interest was confused about the reaction of the surrounding people for a moment but as he listened closely he soon understood

it turned out that the Bai clan was once one of the clans associated with the Gold law, the Gold law is a behemoth organization that spans past the entire continent and even across the great seas.

The Organization has a secret treasure that helps them maintain and create wealth and operates in a set of means and method referred to as the rules of gold.

this organization was one of the earliest to be formed after the rest spark, since the beginning of the spark this organization evolved from the International monetary fund and the central banks before the great spark.

this where the powers that controlled money and the flow of money before the spark and after the spark these Organizations quickly gathered together and formed Gold law, with their experience with managing the worlds wealth they quickly gained a foothold and amassed power once again.

to this day, time has passed since then and Gold law rules everything money related, how money flows, which economies rise and fall, behind every coin behind every penny and every gold or silver or Thanes coin is the Gold law.

to put it onto comparison the Escariot bank that is so feared in these lands is nothing compared to Gold law, most people have not heard of Gold law because it is beyond most peoples reach and many people don't even know that their life and wellbeing is all underneath this Organization´s wimps. However, many people around these lands have heard of the Escariot bank and it's fierce reputation because they only know what Gold law lets them know.

Even what the few people who do know about Gold law only know what it lets them know, no one knows how it spans the whole world as there are many places humans can no cross to get to other continents.

not many people also know how it truly operates or who exactly is part of Gold law or even how many people, clans, kingdoms and families are part of and associated to Gold law.

max was very luck to be here at this moment in time, because otherwise he might not have heard or come across this organization till he was of noble rank or had great power.

listening to the people talking max understood that the Bai clan was once associated to Gold law however they broke the rules of gold. as such they were made to pay most of their wealth just to be able get out alive, the Bai clan was close to becoming a great clan a few years ago but after they were kicked out by Gold law from it´s association it quickly fell apart

the clan fell form being close to being a great clan to a small clan in a short period of time and the clan had to go into isolation for a few years to recover, as such the Bai clan as not being seen for a few years and for one of their members to suddenly appear caught everyone by surprise.

" is it fine for me to be the play maker " Bai lang asked with a confident smile

everyone quickly agreed

" everyone knows that the Bai clan has always been good with managing money and doing anything money related and has great credibility so I'm willing to trust young master bai to be the play maker" someone said quickly and the surrounding people quickly joined in to show their support

even though the Bai clan has declined and been in isolation for the past few years but now that they have come out everyone who was smart knew that it would not be so simple as such even if they did not make friends, no on was unwilling to make enemies for such a simple thing.

" the play maker has been decided, and now shall we see who among you wants to be our overseer "

everyone quieted down for a moment, being an overseer was not so simple, the overseer was responsible for everything and had to make sure that nothing went wrong, if the bet was rigged or if someone cheated the overseer had to carry out punishments

the overseer had to be powerful enough to interfere in a round of bets if it got out of hand and stop the players from being injured

and if there was any conflicts the overseer had rot settle them, so basically they had great responsibilities and power but it was also risky as there were times that figures from strong powers laid out a plan to cheat or rig the game and if this was discovered this meant that the overseer had to punish them

however this people belong to a strong power and depending on their nature a grudge might be formed from this, as such if you did not had great power it was a thankless job.

as everyone looked around for someone to step up a playful voice was suddenly heard

" worry not my little things, i evelyn will make sure that no one breaks the rules and if they do star might have to spank them for being bad "

with the sudden voice evelyn floated down form the sky

max was confused for a second, pretty sure she couldn't fly or float but whatever ignore the details.

( I'm correcting gramma from the last 4 chapters, if anyone read them prior my bad couldn't be asked before to correct them, this one will be corrected within 40 minutes, after i correct the previous 4 chapters. so if you read it within 40 minutes then lol sorry for the bad gramma)
