Chapter 10: Caliburn

( your author here, i edited chapter 9 as i was not happy with it, i do that often as when i read my chapters after i have published i end up changing them or correcting gramma. so it's best to read new chapters 30 minutes after as i would have finished editing them .

Max was lead to a hall where ai sayama sat on a long table with many chairs, she looked melancholic as she stared into space. " mistress, I have brought master max here" the maid said to her, ai sayama regained her focus " you may leave us rika, max come and sit with me " ,

"yes my lady " the maid replied before bowing her head then proceeded it to exit the room leaving max and ai sayama alone.

Max walked towards her and sat besides her " how do you want me to help you ?" Max asked straightforwardly.

Ai sayama looked at him then looked around " do you see this hall " she said max looked around the hall was majestic but yet seemed deserted and empty.

" before my husband died, many gathered here it didn't matter when. this was the centre of the sayama clan. But, now look at it, now that his gone with him many of his loyal soldiers buried along him and all that remains is a widow, and men that she can't manage to keep loyal, traitors ready to divide me and my family's wealth among them selves", she sighed

" a woman can not rule them all" she said, max put his hand on hers " I will be here for you " he said.

max didn't know her for very long but he considered her as his woman now and like a proper man should, he would protect her.

her body shook as he placed his hand on hers she paused but ended up letting him do as he pleased

" I don't know how we will survive" she said " my husband was the oldest son and was the strongest as such his family became the main line of the sayama family.

But now his gone, in truth this family has weakened , as such the 3rd son's family which was the second line family as it was the second most powerful family, is now just as powerful as the main family" she spoke

" as time passes our family gets weaker ", max could hear the frustration in her voice.

" the only good thing is that the clan rules forbid attacking families within the clan as this would weaken the clan and allow for outsiders to take advantage and may lead to the whole clan being endangered, as such on the surface the other families won't attack but no one knows what plots they may have" ai sayama told max with some relief.

" is there anyone you can trust ?" Max asked

" yes, I will introduce you to them later " she continued " I called you here to tell you that the elders called for a clan assembly tomorrow , I don't know what to expect but it can't be anything good I need you to go with me there , so you need to be prepared ",

Max didn't know how to prepare exactly,

" I will prepare some level 4 spark stones to help you cultivate your abilities, not that it will help much with only a few hours left"

With that said she stood up to leave " I have to get prepared " she spoke to max, max followed her out, he was still feeling hot after rika left him halfway so he couldn't help but watch her sexy ass, she wore a blue tight skirt that hugged around her ass making it stand out and as she walked it shook side to side.

" max stop" she said as she tried to resist but only she knew that if she truly wanted she could easily push him away.

she couldn't help but respond to his kiss, she felt ashamed.

" damn, another escaped, what is actually happening today " max muttered he didn't understand why everyone was running away today

Max looked at his hard stick helpless he tore the void and appeared back in his room. Falling onto the bed he grabbed an ordinary looking sword from the void, " caliburn" he said " I shall call you caliburn" ,this was the name of King Arthur's sword before it was changed to Excalibur in the myths.

" caliburn a sword to rule them all, you shall be the king of swords and I will be the king of all, power we shall take and together blood we shall spill" max felt every cell in his body wish for power, he needed it.

he caressed the sword this was max's first sword.

After max named his sword he tried to cast it in the power of the void as it was now just an ordinary sword.

He decided that he would inject space power into it and practice cutting space with it later but for now he just placed it into the void and let it absorb void elements.

After this max started to think about his situation he realised he was alone and even though he was now the protecter of ai sayama he was only a guard, he needed to use this chance to gain his own power and start building his own forces, you can not be a king without subjects, you can't be a God without believers max thought.

" elder He, a letter from the young master is here for you " a male butler walked up to a white haired elder who was standing on the window over looking the city. the elder took the letter and opened it.

" hahahahahaha " the elder started to laugh "cough, cough" the elder somehow chocked on his own laugh. embarrassed the elder quickly collected himself

the butler pretended to be unaware.

"ahem, that boy is truly cunning. knowing that lass sayama has no one to fight for her and come up with such a plan" he mused " very well tell him we shall allow it, i shall talk to the other elders before the clan Assembly"

the butler quickly left leaving the white haired elder alone with the view

" it may be harsh to you lass, but this is all for the good of the clan " the elder sighed
