Chapter 143: See You From Afar
Jules's sharp rumble echoed intensely inside Barnes's head, freezing him momentarily. His heart was churned from the agony he had endured over all these years, and now Jules's question led him to face the reality that he never knew the answer himself.

"For that to happen, I will be glad if he never retrieves the memory of the past we shared in the first place. But I have made my decision already. Until I am alive, I will not abandon him this time, no matter what happens."
His determined words made his wolf Jules fall completely silent inside him as he couldn't bring himself to oppose his decision which sounded like an oath upon which Barnes's life depended.
