Feeling Aiden's grasp tightening around his waist, Kylian pushed him away with his elbow from behind, seeming a little impatient to break free from him, when he murmured, "Thank you for protecting me. I am okay now, so, please let go."
"O-Oh, s-sorry!" As if Aiden was too focused on keeping him close, he didn't realize his hold was making Kylian fidgety to unleash himself.
The moment he let him go, Kylian stood up and hurriedly checked his phone first, which he had firmly protected in the grasp of his hands, despite facing such a collision with that bookshelf. His ocean eyes were glimmering with hope as if he was keenly expecting Zenith's reply to his previous text.
But the glimmer in his eyes immediately faded into dim when he saw it was a spam message, making him turn gloomy again to realize he almost put himself in danger from getting overexcited.
But his efforts all went in vain.
