Surprise?

Austin finished his little celebration. He was with resting in the field with his Pokemon. They were playing while he was enjoying his tech stuff.

A few hours pass and he suddenly stands up with a satisfied expression. He finally finished his prototype of the night vision glasses. It also had a working heat vision. He wasn't able to fit the camera and connect it with his pokedex.

This was just the start so he wasn't sad. Instead he felt more motivation. He noticed it was getting dark and his Pokemon seemed tired from running around the training field. He fed them and returned then to their pokeballs and togetic flew into the pouch. Austin planned on catching her near the end of his permit. This allows togepi to absorb a lot of the positive energy released in the city-State. It also brings Austin luck as its owner.

Austin put on the night vision glasses and walked towards the Pokemon center to test it out. As he approached the Pokemon center he switched the night vision to thermal vision. He suddenly sees a large number of people in the Pokemon center. He didn't know what was going on. Austin calmed himself down and hoped it was good knews. He put on his pokeface and walked in.

"Surprise!" Everyone yelled. Austin just maintained his poker face and ask, "So what's going on?"

"Damn kid your one tough customer to please." Muliere says.

Philip walks up and explains, " We heard from Muliere that today was your birthday. So we gathered everyone you knew and made you a party."

Austin was a little curious how Muliere knew his birthday. "I don't remember telling anyone my birthday. Even the one in the orphanage is a lie."

Muliere was shocked at what to say. He couldn't possiblely say that they had kept someone following him in the dark to protect him. He is the first s-class potential in the last 20 years. "Well you see the league knows everything. It wasn't hard to piece together the clues of who your parents were. As well as find your birthdate. We just kept it secret as we have to protect our members information." Muliere began to bullshit not knowing that Austin believed his reasoning.

This was because with a company or government body would have the power to dig through his identity very easily. Austin just nodded now that he got his answer causing Muliere to sigh in relief. He managed to pull a fast on on the kid.

Austin then smiled and thanked everyone for the surprise. They began to party and eat cake. They all gave Austin gifts, some gave pokeballs others gave, clothes, potions, and a bunch of normal goods.

Muliere gave Austin a gift as well it was blue prints to a bunch of machines. They aren't used these days as the world changed, like the Pokeblock machine. The only thing he saw useful was the Devon corps of the past's latest pokenav blue print. Muliere told Austin that these were just gathering dust and that they had no use this day and age. The pokenav was built by the Devon Corp's brilliant scientists all of which were killed in the cataclysm.

Austin liked these gifts with his tech knowledge from the past he should be able to make it. Austin enjoyed himself with the rest of the group. He felt a warmth he missed very much from his past life. The warmth that should have been in this world but changed. Now he felt even though this world is ugly, it still had many good things. He was glad he got to experience his birthday. The original fear in his heart changed to excitement and bless.
