Chapter 11 – Vermillion Gym

Storm Town

Brock and Misty were shaking Ash to wake.

Ash yawned and opened his eyes and saw Brock and Misty.

"Hey guys Good morning"

Brock "Ash where is Charmander"

Ash "He is sleeping here er Where is he"

Misty "You don't know"

"Nope"

Then Ash's Pokedex spoke "Ash he is in your Pokeball"

Ash "What how did you speak"

Pokedex "I am a Pokemon"

Brock "I am seeing it arg no hearing it for the first time"

Pokedex "Ash I am called as Porygon" and the Pokedex floated and changed into a tri angular pokemon.

Ash "Hi Porygon"

Misty "I have heard that some high tech computers transform into Porygons"

Porygon "Yup when you added the transceiver to my body and I too transformed"

"Pi Pikachu"

Porygon "Hi Pikachu"

Ash "So that was the use of Transceiver"

Porygon "Nope it is a long distance calling and transfer device means you can call the person you anywhere where there is satellite connection and transfer means you can transfer your pokemons"

Ash "oh"

Brock suddenly blurted "Means we can change and call pokemon at anytime as the limit is six"

Porygon "Yes and the pokemon limit is not six"

Brock "Means"

"You can only use six pokemons per battle and can keep as much as you want if it is convenient for you"

Misty "Oh that's a news but that means we do not need to leave any pokemon back"

Ash "Yup that's grate but wait you said Charmander is in my Pokeball"

Porygon "Yes"

Then Ash took a pokeball which showed that it was full and released it and Charmander came out.

"Charmander" It said happily

Ash "Hey Charmander are you fine"

"Char"

Porygon "He says that he is fine"

Ash "Ah we have a translator"

Misty "Good"

Porygon "You should get an earphone and I will direct the translation into it"

Brock "I think I have four"

Ash "Why do you keep them" said while taking one.

Brock "To listen voices arr no songs"

Misty "Hmph You will never change"

Brock "I will once I get one"

Misty "Then keep trying"

After they put the earpiece and nodded Porygon connected to them.

Pikachu tried "Hey Ash, Brock and Misty"

Ash "I can understand "

Brock "same"

Misty "Me too"

Porygon smiled finally of some help

Ash "Thanks Porygon"

"No Problem Ash"

Ash "Oh Charmander you should first see this and Porygon show him the video"

Charmander "What?"

Porygon "Damian's"

"okay" and he saw the full video

Charmander sighed "I know that he left many pokemon but I always thought he left them to train"

Ash "You can start again"

"That's why I chose you"

Ash "Thanks"

Pidgeotto "*yawn* Good Morning"

Everyone replied to her.

And she was stunned to see all of them understand.

"Ash did I also connect with you like Pikachu" she blurted

Ash laughed and explained everything .

"Oh I missed so much and hi Charmander and welcome to the family"

Charmander "Hi"

Misty "You are not the last Bulbasaur and our pokemon are still not aware of it"

Brock "Yup we will tell everyone while on the route as this place is too cramped"

Ash said "I think that's the best" and returned everyone except Porygon and Pikachu.

And then everyone thanked Nurse Joy and continued on their journey.

On the way to Vermillion Ash and party camped at half way and told every of their pokemon of their new abilities and everyone was surprised and happy.

Ash "So Porygon I always called you Dexter so you will be Dexter"

"yup that's better than PORYGOONN"

Ash chuckled "So what is your Type"

"Normal and I can change type into fire, water, electric, grass and Psychic for a minute"

Ash "Whoa and moves"

Dexter "Tri attack, Zen headbutt, Thunder shock, Energy ball and water gun"

Ash sucked in a deep breath "Versatile"

Dexter "Thanks but I am still D Rank"

Ash "Oh show my Pokemon ranks���

"Pikachu C rank

Pidgeotto C rank

Bulbasaur D+ rank

Charmander D rank

Porygon D rank"

Ash "Okay guys we are waiting for an hour so Pikachu, Pidgeotto and Bulbasaur You know what to do and Charmander and Dexter come with me"

"Yup" Pikachu nodded and went with the two.

Pikachu tried to launch a weak discharge and control it and Pidgeotto did the same with Hurricane while Bulbasaur Increased the Power output and speed of energy ball.

Charmander was Watching the trio but was confused why Pikachu and Pidgeotto practicing weak attacks. To get the answer he asked Dexter.

"Hey Dexter why are Pikachu and Pidgeotto practicing such weak attack"

Dexter laughed "You want to see their full power"

"Yup"

"Then check this video of Pikachu defeating no bullying almost two thousand spearow"

"Means "

Just watch. Charmander watched the battle video and the last attack and stood there dumbly.

Dexter "Hey"

"Ah that that attack could wipe out half of the last town"

"Yup so he is trying to control the distance"

Charmander "And for Pidgeotto"

Dexter "You should see it too"

Then he showed the video of Pidgeotto using hurricane while battling Pikachu and flinging him with the trees kilometers away.

Charmander again took a deep breath "Are all C rank Pokemon this strong"

Dexter "Yes but weaker than both of them as they are on verge of breaking through"

"So this was because of Ash"

"Yes Pikachu was at the same state as you during the start while Pidgeotto was still Pidgey"

Charmander "But my trainer too had Pidgey but why did he did not become strong as her"

"That is the difference between trainers"

"Oh"

"Let us catch up with them or else we will be left behind"

"Yes" Charmander said with burning eyes.

Ash "So Charmander you should first increase the accuracy and strength of your Flame thrower and Dexter You should increase your speed because we don't have anything now to increase your defense"

"Okay" Both nodded. And Dexter went to Pidgeotto to ask for speed advice

And Charmander waited with Ash.

"Okay Charmander I will throw rocks up and you will hit them with accuracy first then strength or else if you don't hit the target your attack is of no use"

"okay"

"Good start"

And so everyone was busy as Brock was cooking Misty training her Pokemon for the next hour.

After more than half day of travel they finally reached Vermillion City.

Ash "Great here we come Thunder Badge"

Misty "Ash Thunder badge is not running any where"

Brock "Let's rest first then we will challenge the gym tomorrow"

Ash "Okay"

And they walked towards the Pokemon center.

Ash and friends entered Pokemon center and went towards the Desk.

"Hey Nurse Joy can you please take care of our pokemon"

"Yes but it will take time as we are currently busy"

Brock "Why Nurse Joy you should take a rest or else your beautiful face will have wrinkles and could you come with me for a date yeoOOOOOw"

Misty "She already has many Patients please don't be another one"

Then a boy came in running "Nurse Joy it is an emergency please take care of my Raticate"

Joy "Chansey Please"

Chansey "Yes"

Ash "So what happened"

Joy sighed "The Gym battle"

Ash "huh but they are here to teach not destroy"

Joy "The gym leader is from army and think that pokemon which are weak should get a lesson"

Ash "What rank is he"

Joy "C rank"

Ash smirked "Thank You"

Ash then went towards Brock who stopped crying.

Ash said "Hey guys who is the gym leader of Vermillion gym"

Misty "Lt. Surge why Ash"

Ash "He is the reason of so much injured pokemon"

Brock shivered "What are thinking"

Ash "Simple use Pikachu instead of Bulbasaur"

Misty "Oh one more gym will be destroyed but this is with a reason"

Brock "Give Him a good beating"

Ash "Yup and Lets rest and tomorrow " he smirked

Brock and Misty shivered as they recalled Pikachu's Power.

Ash had a doubt "Hey Dexter do all Gym leaders are C rank and have C rank Pokemon"

Dexter "Nope Pewter, Cerulean,Vermillion and Celadon are C rank because of their status and Pokemon used for trainers are D+ rank. And Fuchsia and Cinnabar are C+ and Saffron and Vridian are B rank"

Ash "Oh Means Lt surge has D+ Rank Pokemon"

Dexter "He has Raichu of D+ rank with higher electric power due to evolution"

Ash "Pikachu's got a good opponent as he was bullied by a Raichu once"

Dexter "Ash are you going to use discharge"

Ash "Depends Why"

"I am Pokemon too and I don't want to get electrocuted"

Ash laughed "He doesn't need to use Discharge for a single Pokemon and If more fire power is required then I will use a Secret move"

Dexter "Oh that Pikachu Learned by mistake"

"Yup"

"And Try not to destroy no guarantee"

Dexter "It is good that the league does not charge the trainer for destruction"

Ash chuckled

Next Day in front of a Building which looked like an Electric factory.

Ash "Are all gym's based on there types"

Misty "I think most of them are"

Ash "So Let's go in"

Brock "Another one going down"

Misty "Do you have Rubber Gloves"

Brock "Yup"

Ash knocked the door of the gym.

The door opened and two sturdy men came into view.

Man 1 "Hey brat why are you here"

Ash said calmly "To challenge the gym leader"

Man 2 laughed "Hey boss another brat has come"

A burly man with a scar on his face came from inside and looked at Ash

"Brat go and drink your mother's milk and then go and train for few years and come for gym challenge"

Ash "NO need for that because I will defeat you today"

Lt. Surge "Hey men he is saying that he will defeat me I am so scared"

His two subordinates laughed.

Misty was smiled mentally [They are goanna pay] and looked at Brock who too looked at her and smiled.

Lt. Surge "Good brat you have got guts I accept your challenge but don't ever drip your shitty tears in my gym or else you are not suitable to be a trainer"

Ash "Hmm" [He is good natured but too harsh for beginners]

Judge "Battle between Gym leader Lt Surge and Challenger Ash"

"Rules One versus One Battle"

"Release your pokemons"

Ash "You are up buddy"

"Yes Ash" Pikachu jumped from his place and went towards the battle field.

Lt. Surge "Brat your pokemons too are Brats you should have evolved Pikachu when you caught him"

Ash "The strength of the Pokemon does not matter on their evolution but on how they have trained"

Lt. Surge "Hmph teaching me"

"GO RAICHU"

Raichu shouted and appeared on the battle field and looked down at Pikachu.

Raichu "Hey have met somewhere"

Pikachu "You have forgot me"

Ash "Pikachu do you know him"

Pikachu "Yes he is my Dear Uncle right Raichu"

Raichu "Oh you are that Pikachu who could not use a single thunder shock"

Pikachu smirked "Right"

Surge "Hey what are you blabbering about"

Misty "Pikachu was bullied when he was born right Brock"

Brock "Ash had told me about is and that is also the Reason he is using him"

Misty "What a coincidence"

Brock took out the gloves and shoes and gave it to Misty "I think I am sorry for that Poor Raichu because Pikachu will breakthrough soon and anger can do it early"

Misty "Pikachu is a MONSTOR"

Brock "And My Onix too broke through"

Misty "Same with Starmie"

Brock "Ash's bond is too strong and we have just started but effects are unbelievable"

Misty just nodded.

Pikachu "Ash I am not holding back"

Ash shrugged "As you wish"

Lt. Surge "Let's start Raichu Thunderbolt"

Ash "Dodge and Quick attack"

Raichu launched a massive thunder bolt at Pikachu but it missed as Pikachu dodged it. Then he surrounded himself in pure white energy and shot toward Raichu who was startled was hit in the stomach and was thrown meters away.

Surge "Good using your speed lets me how much can you dodge Raichu he is afraid of your electricity so he is using speed launch continuous Thunderbolts"

"Oh ya take this Thunder boltttt"

Ash "Do what you want to"[Afraid of this much electricity]

Pikachu "Thanks Ash" he said while dodging the Attack.

Raichu "Let me see how much can you take"

Pikachu "Oh no I am scared"

Misty was controlling her laughter "Hey Brock … That Lt. Surge is a done for"

Brock who was laughing quietly "Ash has given Pikachu all rights means did he also gave the mental block"

Misty stopped the shivered "I am Going out"

Then suddenly Dexter came towards them "Wait don't go let's see the show I will cover the electricity"

Brock "Right you can change your ability to lightning rod"

Dexter "Yes and Pikachu Broke through Just because his mental condition increased"

Misty "He must have released the stone his heart and now will he bully or just overkill"

Dexter "Overkill means you want take half kilometer of this city off the map"

Misty "Nope"

Dexter "He controlled the Volt bomb attack and he is going to bully"

Brock "That is going to be a lesson to Surge"

Misty nodded and said "The name who gave it"

Dexter said haughtily "ME"

Both of them chuckled.

Raichu was launching attacks after attacks but no use Pikachu was just too fast.

Lt. Surge "Don't be a coward and attack"

Ash "Why should we hurt ourselves when we can escape the damage"

Surge was shaking from anger.

Raichu "Hey don't just dodge or else you will never win"

Pikachu "Okay Extreme speed"

Raichu "What"

Ash "Extreme Speed"

Pikachu was flickering form side to side and Raichu was getting hit after hit and was Wailing in pain.

Pikachu "So dear Uncle how does Bulling Taste"

Raichu finally could not hold the embarrassment and shouted "You are a shame to Electric types use electric attack"

Pikachu "Okay Let's try this after control"

Ash "Oh no"

Misty "Run"

And the Trio Ran outside.

Lt Surge was startled "What are you running from"

Ash and Pikachu said together "VOLT BOMB"

Then everything was just shocking.

BOOOOM and then CRASSHHHH.

So that was the Socking Loud and Abrupt ending of today's Chapter.
