Chapter 7 Toxic encounter

I went down after dressing up. this time I had a better look at the plant On the first floor was Iris's office and on the ground floor was the Tm shop a mini Pokemon centre and a cafeteria from there I went to the cafeteria to have my breakfast I had asked Golett to be in my shadow to let him learn to be a part of the shadow. usually, it is hard for the golett line to learn to be in shadow. so training was the way to go.

After that, I went straight to the Tm shop

The Tm shop was packed to the ceiling with different boxes and scattered Cds the room was dimly lit but had enough lighting to see clearly. I made my way to the centre there I saw a man sleeping on a chair. slowly making my way to him I poked him

" Ahhh wasn't sleeping I was just, just meditating yeah meditating " The old man nodded to himself then peaked open his eye

" Ah, it is just the rookie. what can I do for you " He asked relaxing

" I want some TM's, " I said then pulled out a list

and handed it over

The old man nodded as he looked down the list

" hmm, good moves Detect too "

he abruptly stood up and walked over to a pile of Covers and pulled out a Book

" Here this is a Cd album it is durable and has a metal frame to avoid your Cds from being broken"

" Thanks " I nodded

" Don't thank me it ain't free ya know " He joked as he started collecting the TMs

after a while, he brought back the Tms

rummaging through the Tm I found Detect, bulk up, hyper beam, Earthquake, Dig, Shadow ball, Thief, Thunderbolt, Poison jab and swords dance

These were the only ones I could purchase with Swords dance being a TM that is rarely present in shops,

The move Thief will help immensely as there are no rules when you fight in the wild for a trainer to steal a held item or even better a pokeball

no this will be helpful

I chuckled darkly at the thought then turned around and left the shop

" Hey you " I looked around to see where the voice came from and saw Paul glaring at me

" Iris called you and said that she had a mission for you" He clicked his tongue and left

I sighed thinking what was the problem with that brat

' maybe some sob story I guess with the poison gang ' I mused at the thought. after packing the CDs I went to the office

Iris POV

The masked boy entered the office

I sat up straight and motioned him to sit. the boy was a mystery and talented. Now everyone had different meanings of talent but for me is a person who can think on his feet and the way I t he had a presence of mind

even more interesting is that he was Dark. Dark people are those who cannot be sensed by psychics. Now I was not a psychic but I had a rare ability called Aura sense It isn't a full-blown Aura ability but a half-baked version that was why I had been removed from the family.

but I could sense him partially meaning he either did not know about his ability or he was a fool to flaunt his ability the former was more plausible than the latter.

I pulled out a mission sheet and gave it to him

" You will have a scouting mission tonight go to the Fifth ward with Paul and try to look around if you find any Poison members try to follow them but do not attack them or retreat if you think they have noticed" I commanded

The Poison Gang had been active lately and is working with white suits. this had been worrying though White suits was an anonymous group who were trying to find something in the city now what that was is a mystery but whatever it is is powerful.

I had my thoughts. the Spacetime distortion twenty years ago was said to be artificial and if it is correct then it would be a catastrophe

I turned around a motioned him to leave then absent-mindedly started getting Absol

After Iris handed me the mission I went to the battleground behind the power plant while that inside was preoccupied.

I trained with my Pokemon for the evening and went to dinner.

After that I met with Paul he was sitting outside

" You are late " He scoffed

" I am, " I said nonchalantly

He grunted and jumped on a wall and then onto the roof of a house.

" Come one we haven't got all day," He said turning around

I grimaced at the ease at which he had jumped but proceed to climb the house and then jump across the roof to the roof of the next house

The fifth ward was relatively empty with ransacked shops and demolished buildings amid the building I even caught glimpse of rare Pokemon but the way they acted was as if they were rabid. We reached the centre of the ward from there we parted ways to scout better I battled all the wild Pokemon with my pancham as he was the one with the least experience.

Bam

I turned around to my left and looked at the sky it had been three hours

BaM

this time it was distinct noise I looked around trying to find the Pokemon

but what I found was a lone man with his Garbodour he was shooting a gunk shot on trash cans

I pulled out Frogadier's pokeball. this was a great chance for Frogadier and released him with a flash he appeared which made the grunt turn around he looked around at first to spot me

" Frogadier use the Hydro pump," I said

Frogadier jumped and then opened his mouth in which water condensed and then released a jet of water hitting straight at Garbodour in the face

" Use Smokescreen now " I yelled without missing a beat

" Garbodour use gunk shot " condensed a purple ball of poison and shot towards Frogadier it hit straight in the chest but Frogadier used Smokescreen which caused smoke to flood the alley Frogadier was hit bad and was poisoned

" Use icy wind now " I shouted

this will decrease the speed of Garbodour

Garbodour.. cough...use Hyper beam " The grunt shouted

Garbodour condensed a purple ball and shot it forward

" Substitute quick " I panicked this will be a one-shot move because Frogadier is not defence-oriented much less endure the hit.

Frogadier replaced himself with his clone of fribbles.

the beam tore through the alley hitting random spots but ultimately hitting the substitute instead.

this was the move it gave a sort of presence to the clone which makes a Pokemon think that it is the opponent.

" Frogadier use water pulse" I yelled this time calmly

" Garbodour use poison gas " Grunt yelled out

This could badly poison Frogadier. before he could say something Frogadier pulls up his frubbles as a mask and formed a water pulse in his hands

A spinning ball of water tore through the gas hitting the Garbodour with considerable damage

by this time the smokescreen had been lifted.

" Frogadier use pound " I yelled out as he was in the air

"Garbodour uses the metal claw". garbodour's arms turned silver

they both hit each other but the move used by Frogadier turned into another move as he used more power

Arial ace

With blade-like energy, Frogadier jumped back up with both hands slowing with energy shaped as blades he struck down on the head with a Smackdown

now that caused the grunt to look at him in fear

he returned the Pokemon and made a run for it

" Frogadier use Thief "

Frogadier's hands glowed dark as he jumped again and hit The grunt in the back with the left hand and stole one of his pokeball with his right

" Ahhh" The grunt picked himself up and ran away

without looking behind

I palmed the pokeball thrown by Frogadier deciding to look at it later and ran off the premises

" At least the fight was good " I murmured

after the shift, we returned to the HQ.and went to Iris's office to report

After half an hour

I walked out with my ears brushed this was not how to expected to go at all

I winced at my sides as they ached in pain

Things were going smooth up until I mentioned the fight with a grunt. Iris had been interested till I said that I let him go

That now caused havoc of cursing she instructed him to kill anyone in future

she had twisted my ears so that I had almost begged my forgiveness

but I understand that I should have killed him killing someone was not as easy as they make it out and a normal person doesn't even think about it.

I walked down the stairs

" Hey you're the newbie aren't you " A nervous voice called out from behind

I turned behind me a boy of about Fifteen with a youth-full look and glasses was standing on the stairs above me with a laptop his hair was Brown and his eyes were golden

The boy looked as if straight from an anime.

" Yes? " I asked

" My name is Justin " He extended his arm

I shook presently surprised by his strength

" I am the main engineer here," He said

" So? " I asked confused by his explanation

" I was told that you had a new Pokemon from Poison gang. Iris told me to reconfigure it in your name" He promptly said

I nodded and pulled out the Pokeball

" Great " Justin plopped down and pulled out his Laptop and placed the ball in a device

He then started typing which was all a blur to me as it reconfigured

" you do it manually huh," I asked

" Yup getting a Porygon is hard and reconfiguring one is even harder and making one is nigh impossible" and then he pushed the laptop to him

" Here It is a Toxel about a month old," he said

ability Rattled ( Klutz)

moves Acid, Belch, Nuzzle, Growl

egg move:Endeavour

Tm moves: Endure, protect and Rest

At that, I nodded my thanks this will be easy the grunt would not have the time to bond with Toxel

I walked away towards my Attic where I devised a Team strategy
