Temporary Gym Leader Is Decided!

"Alright, Jolteon! Begin this with Volt Tackle!" James ordered. Jolteon was shrouded with lightning as it surged forward, aiming to hit Raticate with a volt tackle.

"Raticate, Dig!" Cassidy ordered. Raticate evaded Jolteon's attack by digging under the arena.

"Jolteon! Vibrations can harm it, Use Earthquake!" James ordered. This next attack knocked Raticate out of the ground and Jolteon followed it up with a Full power Thunderbolt.

"Block it with Protect!" Cassidy shouted. Thunderbolt hit the barrier and bounced off it. James grimaced at this.

"Alright, Twin needle!" James ordered. Twin Needle is one of the most deadly skills of a Jolteon, Jolteon began launching Electrified spikes at Raticate, and the barrier shattered instantly.

"Raticate, Sandstorm!" Cassidy ordered. Wait a fucking second, Can a Raticate really learn Sandstorm? That's just messed up. A Sandstorm swept through the entire area putting an end to my thoughts.

"Roar!" James ordered with a slick smile. Jolteon roared and the sand cleared away, It succeeded in also knocking Raticate into a gym wall.

"End this with Volt tackle!" James ordered, Raticate didn't have time to block and was blasted back by the full brunt of Volt tackle, and Raticate fainted.

"James wins," Lily said, "The next match will be against Jordan and Butch,"

We entered the arena and at that moment, We sent out our Pokémon.

I sent out my Graveler and Butch sent out his Golem. The battle began.

"Golem! Magnitude!"

"Graveler! Sand tomb!"

Before Golem could use Magnitude, Graveler encased it in a tomb of sand.

"Now use Rock slide on its head!" I ordered. I knew the weak spots of Golem as I planned on having one, Its head is one of them. The Rock slide fell on its head and Golem got confused, it was a critical hit as well.

"Golem! Break free of Sand tomb!" Butch ordered but sadly, Golem couldn't break free of the sand.

"End this with Thrash!" I ordered. Graveler ran towards Golem at a speed that betrayed its bulk and attacked it with a repeated barrage, Golem could not withstand it and fainted.

"Jordan is the winner of this Match," Lily said before motioning to Ran and James to come onto the field for their battle.

"The winner of this battle will face Jordan in the finals," Lily said as the field was cleaned up, I returned to the sidelines and went to stand next to Jessie. We talked in low voices.

"So Arianna sent you on this mission as well," I said and Jessie widened her eyes.

"You're part of Team Rocket?" She asked.

"I became an Admin the day before yesterday, Anyway, Arianna said I should ask why you haven't completed the job," I replied.

"Well, as you can see, The Cerulean sisters will give the Feebas to the person that becomes the temporary gym leader," Jessie said with folded hands, "And that girl, Ran had to beat me. If I had known that she was that strong, I would have taken that battle seriously."

"Ran is a strong trainer, She'll probably win against James," I said.

"How do you know that?" Jessie asked.

"I trained her, Hey, Mind if we trade numbers, We can get in contact easily," I said.

"Well, I don't mind at all," Jessie said, We traded numbers just as the match began.

NINETALES VS HAUNTER

"Ninetales, Use Shadow Ball!" Ran ordered. Ninetales glowed with ghostly energy before firing a Shadow ball at Haunter.

"Counter with your own Shadow Ball!" James ordered. The two shadow balls collided and nullified each other.

"Flame Charge!" Ran ordered.

"Ice Punch go!" James ordered.

Ninetales rushed forward shrouded in flames and slammed into Haunter but it was suddenly iced, The two Pokémon were damaged.

"Haunter, Night Shade!" James ordered. Haunter blasted the ice open with a Night Shade subsequently damaging Ninetales. Ran clenched her teeth and suddenly thought of a plan.

"Ninetales, Double Team!" Ran ordered. Ninetales became five illusionary copies that rushed through the arena at breakneck speed.

"Now Shadow ball, End it!" She finished. All of the Ninetales fired a Shadow ball at point-blank rage causing an explosion, Haunter survived by using Endure.

"Mean Look then Night Shade once more!" James ordered. Haunter used Mean Look and Ninetales couldn't move, Haunter released a Night Shade.

"Ninetales, Counter with a Full-power Flamethrower!" Ran ordered. The two attacks clashed and created an Explosion, After the smoke cleared, Ninetales could be seen on the ground, using Rest?? While Haunter was trying to use Shadow Ball.

"Sleep talk!" Ran ordered with a smile. Ninetales's mouth suddenly opened and released a Fire blast which blasted Haunter head-on. Haunter fainted.

"Ach, We lost," James said while returning Haunter to its Pokéball. He sighed before heading to the sidelines.

"Ran will battle in the finals with Jordan," Lily said.

"I forfeit," Ran said.

"Are you sure?" Lily asked.

"I'm sure, I have a 0% chance to beat Jordan," She replied with a shrug before leaving the arena with Ninetales.

"Then I guess that the Temporary gym leader has been decided, It is Jordan," Lily said as the three sisters cheered.

They told me all about Gym battles and how I should have at least one water type from the gym. They took me to a pool and I chose Feebas.

"Are you sure?" They asked.

"Yeah, I am sure," I replied and I caught Feebas with a Pokéball.

"Since you chose Feebas, It will be your Pokémon from now on," Violet said, "Also we're leaving Daisy at the gym to assist you,"

"Alright," I said before going to my room. As I landed on my bed, I texted Executive Arianna.
