EPISODE 199: A Poisonous Debut!

The Pokemon Center, a great place to heal and rest your Pokemons. On a hot summer day like this, what's better than going to a Pokemon Center to feel its cool breeze?

"Alright professor! Toxicroak is finally with me." I beamed with joy while holding Toxicroak's Pokeball I've switched out with Gardevoir.

While my interrogation between me and professor Bellice takes place, my companions waited at the bench, beside the Pokemon Center's counter.

[Toxicroak! The Toxic Mouth Pokemon, a fighting and poison type and the evolved form of Croagunk. The croaking that Toxicroak produces before a battle is for churning the poison it has stored in its poison sac.

Your Pokemon currently knows four moves:

-Poison Jab

-Dynamic Punch

-Cross Poison

-Earthquake] Irys the Pokedex scanned Toxicroak's data and sent me information about him and his move set. Ground, Poison, and Fighting-type moves are a great combination against a lot of types. Fighting deals damage to dark types, Poison deals damage to almost all except poison types itself, while Ground deals damage against fighting type Pokemons.

In short, Toxicroak has a huge cover up against almost every type. Being a Poison and fighting type Pokemon, Toxicroak remains as one of the hardest Pokemons to defeat due to the fact it is only weak to Psychic and minor types.

With everybody's jolly heart doing their respective agendas, another trouble strikes again. A man wearing a tuxedo enters the Pokemon Center with his feisty Arcanine. People with Tuxedos are automatically members of the Masked Revelations for me.

Although this man has a tuxedo, all he did was to ask Nurse Joy to heal his Arcanine. Our suspicion declined as everybody in the Pokemon Center sighed with relief and solace. For a moment we thought he was about to attack and bombard this center, it turns out he was just a magician doing some fancy tricks on a kid's party or so.

The real problem arises after the man left with his Arcanine. A girl wearing a white tuxedo enters the Pokemon Center with her Gengar ready to attack. It was no other than the vicious admin of the Masked Revelations, Admin Violet.

"Alright listen up folks, I'm here for 100,000 Pokemon, give it now or you'll surely lose to the fight!" Admin Violet warned. The people started to panic and opened their wallets quickly to answer Violet's request.

"Hey! You're one of the Masked Revelations admin aren't you?!" I badgered while facing her. The crowd's attention was caught, even my companion's attention was gathered as well.

"Ah, it's Kalem, that's your name right? Here to disrupt our business again?"

"What you're doing is wrong, stealing people's money is against the law! Surrender now or prepare to fight." I warned while glaring at her and her Gengar.

"What?! Kalem, that's an admin of one of the greatest evil organizations ever. You don't stand a chance against her." Camellia beamed with worry while forcing me to stop fighting admin Violet.

"Hee, hee! This opportunity is excellent! Toxicroak, it's time to poison them with your galore! Come out now!" I tossed Toxicroak's Pokeball to the sky.

"Weren't you hearing a word I've said?!" Camellia beamed with frustration while continuing to force me to stop attacking.

"I'll be fine Camellia, just let it be. I'll poison her Gengar with Poison Jab and Cross Poison!" I boasted while glaring at the foes.

"A trainer with limited knowledge about Gengar. My Pokemon is a Ghost and Poison, poison type Pokemons don't get poisoned." Violet informed while showing off her Gengar's power.

"I'm very aware of that! I'm a trainer, and I know Gengar's typing. I'll show you my plan once we battle."

KALEM VS ADMIN VIOLET! Battle Begin!

"Gengar, use Shadow ball!"

"Toxicroak, dodge the attack then use Dynamic Punch!"

*Toxicroak's speed was able to dodge the foe's attack. Dynamic Punch didn't do a thing.*

"Foolishness! Dynamic punch is no use against Ghost types! Gengar, use Shadow Punch!"

"I'm pretty aware of that, Toxicroak, drag Gengar then use Earthquake!"

*Toxicroak's fist was inside Gengar's murky body. He threw Gengar to the sky with his fist placed inside, afterwards... both of them descended to the ground with Toxicroak trapping him from escaping due to his fist. Earthquake did maximum damage.*

"Toxicroak, follow it up with Cross Poison!"

*Gengar blasted off once more, dealing extra damage.*

"Gengar return to your Pokeball!" Violet ordered with a very enraged look on her face.

"Like what I said, it's not about type disadvantages, it's how you adapt to your surroundings. We care not if Gengar gets poisoned, Cross Chop still does damage anyways."

"Hmph! I know we'll meet again, and one more thing, I surrendered, Gengar hasn't fainted yet."

"Then that makes you and the regime similar. Both organizations are afraid to lose." Glade interrupted.

"Hmph! You'll suffer the consequences of your own words!" Violet enraged and left the Pokemon Center quickly.

Everybody finally calmed down after the admin's surrender. I feel like she was rushing for something. She's not after the dollar, but after something far more grave.

"Admin Vermont, I've taken a picture of the boy and his pendant. Step 1 is complete." Violet uttered through her rotom-phone.

"Great... Let the next step commence. It's time to make a clone of that pendant!" Vermont laughed maliciously as he declines the call.

"I would like to thank you for saving the Pokemon Center, young trainer." Nurse Joy squinted her eyes with joy and relief.

"No problem Nurse Joy, the important thing is that the people and Pokemon are finally in a harmonious state."

"You almost gave me a heart attack! You could've lost back there." Camellia exclaimed.

"Hehe! At least my Toxicroak was able to make a debut in Pokemon Battling!" I uttered sarcastically.

"Excuse me young trainer, but may I ask if you have a Sceptile with you?" Nurse Joy questioned.

"Um... yes, is there anything wrong Nurse Joy?" I questioned back with a confused and uncertain look.

"That's great! Will you please have this mega stone to mega evolve your Sceptile? A trainer gave it to me after her Sceptile died and faded away yesterday." Nurse Joy beamed with joy while showing me a green marbled mega stone.

"What?! I don't even have a single mega stone." Glade uttered with disappointment.

"It looks like you'll have your third mega stone cousin! But don't forget, I'm still going to reign champion." Kira teased.

"You'd wish, me and Sceptile are going to become stronger! You'll see."

"Oh please, I could knock out your Sceptile with my Chandelier and... better not say my secret weapon, hee hee!" Kira teased.

Nurse Joy handed me the mega stone used for mega evolving Sceptile. One question remains, what will Sceptile's Mega Move be?

As the sun sets, our journey continues through the alternative routes of the western reaches of Laurenburg. Only days remain before we reach Meteor town and the Valley of Dragons. Khaidra, watch out, cause I'm coming for my last badge!
