Chapter 155: Powerful Charmeleon

"Let's show Sabrina our strength, Charmeleon!" After sending out Charmeleon, Ash seemed confident, because Charmeleon was one of his trump cards, and Sabrina's Exeggutor was a Grass-type, giving Charmeleon a type advantage.

"Roar!" Charmeleon roared again, pressing down on Exeggutor with its powerful aura, making Exeggutor step back in fear.

Charmeleon, unlike Pikachu, was more flamboyant. After inheriting the power of the sun god, Charmeleon, its personality became even more unrestrained.

"Is this... a Charmeleon?!" Sabrina spoke for the first time, though so softly that no one heard or even noticed.

"Charmeleon, use Flamethrower!" Ash commanded Charmeleon to attack.

"Roooar!" Another roar erupted, and saffron-colored flames blasted out, hitting Exeggutor directly. The intense heat even distorted the surrounding air.

Sabrina's eyes widened, and she became serious, immediately issuing a mental command to Exeggutor through her psychic powers. This Charmeleon deserved her full attention.

"Extrasensory!" Though afraid of Charmeleon's aura, Exeggutor faithfully carried out Sabrina's order. Psychic energy surged, and a pink-purple light flashed, meeting the oncoming flames.

The two attacks clashed, locked in a silent confrontation. Exeggutor tried to resist and control the flames, while Charmeleon sought to break free from Extrasensory's grasp and engulf Exeggutor.

Sabrina frowned. Charmeleon's strength exceeded her expectations. If the stalemate continued, Exeggutor would undoubtedly lose.

Just as she had this thought, Charmeleon roared, and the flames intensified, breaking through Exeggutor's Extrasensory. The scorching flames engulfed Exeggutor.

With a single blow, the flames dissipated, and Exeggutor stumbled, falling forward, unable to battle. The scene stunned the audience, and the entire battle hall fell silent.

Sabrina was shocked by the power displayed by Charmeleon. Even with the type advantage, defeating the Bronze-level Exeggutor with one hit proved that Charmeleon's true strength was far beyond what it seemed.

"Exeggutor is unable to battle; Charmeleon wins!" After a few seconds, the referee announced the result, looking at Charmeleon with awe. It was the first time a challenger's Pokémon had defeated Sabrina's with a single attack.

"Too...too strong..." A spectator stared at Charmeleon, dumbfounded.

"Yeah... this challenger... seems to be named Ash, right? He's so powerful!" Another spectator marveled, filled with curiosity.

The audience buzzed with excitement, forgetting their fear of Sabrina and focusing on Charmeleon's strength.

Charmeleon, having defeated Exeggutor, showed no pride, merely spitting a small flame in disdain. For it, defeating Exeggutor was no great feat.

"It's unbelievable, Charmeleon's strength has grown to this level..." Even Brock was amazed. The abandoned Charmander had become incredibly powerful in Ash's care.

"As expected of Ash!" Misty attributed Charmeleon's strength to Ash, believing he had unlocked its potential.

After a while, Sabrina regained her composure, recalled Exeggutor, and solemnly selected another Poké Ball, throwing it with her own hand. This gesture surprised both the staff and the referee, as it signified that Sabrina considered Ash a worthy opponent.

"Kadabra, I choose you!" Sabrina finally spoke, calling out the name of her Pokémon. Clearly, Ash and Charmeleon had made a significant impression.

White light bathed the battlefield, and Kadabra, holding a silver spoon, appeared.

Sabrina's eyes gleamed with determination. She was now completely serious, treating Ash as a true rival. As soon as Kadabra appeared, she issued a mental command, ordering it to attack Charmeleon.

Psychic energy surged, and a pink-purple light enveloped Kadabra. It waved its spoon, unleashing a beam of energy that pierced the air – Psybeam.

"Flamethrower!" Ash immediately ordered Charmeleon to counterattack. There were no tactics involved, just a head-on clash. He had complete faith in Charmeleon.

"Roooar!" Charmeleon roared, sparks flying from its mouth as saffron-colored flames erupted, meeting the Psybeam.

"Boom!" The attacks collided, generating a powerful shockwave. After a brief stalemate, Flamethrower gained the upper hand, and the attacks exploded, sending the impact in all directions.

In this exchange, Charmeleon only had a slight advantage.

Ash's eyes changed slightly. This Kadabra was able to compete with Charmeleon, which was somewhat beyond his expectations.

Sabrina's offensive continued, and she issued another command to Kadabra, this time, choosing Psyshock.

The pink-purple light lit up, and Kadabra, narrowing its eyes, used Psychic energy to form a shockwave, blasting it towards Charmeleon!

"Flamethrower!" Ash once again commanded Charmeleon to use Flamethrower to counter the attack. Currently, Flamethrower was the most powerful move Charmeleon had mastered.
