With the green from Brock Ash started to train his youngest Pokemon in their different Attavk and defense moves. The three baby Pokemon were very happy to train with their Meema and their older seniors. Lucario happily helped them with the scratch attack, by focusing their aura to their claws and strengthening them so they do not break while attacking. Pikachu meanwhile took over teaching them tail whip which the three took to like a Lotad to water.

Casey, "Dinner is ready."

Ash, "Thanks Casey. Okay everyone, let's do a warm down."

Annihilape nodded and took over showing the young ones the way to cool down down from their work out. The three Pokemon were very hyper despite being tired from the training, it was not long before they fell asleep. The next day they resumed their travel and met a very interesting lady who called herself a magical witch. She introduced herself as Lily the potion witch and her Murkrow, then showed them her potions. Ash and Casey were interested in the hair colour potion that could change the colour of his hair with just one drop.

Max, "Aren't potions a normal thing though? I mean trainers use potions to heal Pokemon, right?"

Lily, "Yes, but I enhance mine using magic, look."

Gou's eyes widened on seeing what Lily was doing with her hands, "That's.... That's... You can use aura too."

Brock, "Huh... Actually that explains why your potion is so potent."

Ash, "Yeah, look here, blue hair."

Casey snickered, "Mine is pink like Nurse Joy."

Lily however was focused on Gou, "What do you mean aura? This is magic."

Gou, "Ash has a similar ability only he focuses it on his Pokemon."

Lily, "Show me."

Ash, "Sure."

Lily's eyes widened when she saw Ash create an aura ball, "Brother!"

Ash was promptly glomped, "Oooof!"

Lily was gushing, "If you need anything and I mean anything at all. Just tell me. I will find a way to help you."

Brock snickered, "Well, she took it well."

Casey grinned, "I think Ash just got himself an older Witch sister."

Max was laughing, "Understatement."

Gou pat Lily's back, "So, do you have other stuff?"

Lily let go, "Yes, I have a lot of stuff. Like this talismans. It works when I use them but when other people try to use them, it doesn't work."

Ash, "Can I have a look?"

Lily, "Sure."

Ash took the talisman which was a flat wood with symbols carved into it. Ash recognized some of the symbols as the symbol that represents shields and safety. Ash focused his aura and to everyone's amazement and Lily's glee a shield appeared surrounding Ash's form. Lucario eyed it and then attacked using bone rush, the shield stayed up for a few seconds before the talisman broke under the pressure.

Lucario, -That's an impressive shield there.-

Lily, "Okay, okay, so normal people cannot use my talismans but other aura users can. Got it, guess that's the same for potions too."

Lily then started to talk about what options she had been working on while Ash and Brock explained what aura was, how it worked and how different it was for them. It was a very interested run in and Lily told them about a Temple at the bottom of a lake up ahead. It was a very popular spot for the locals to go to for picnics and Electric type trainers, but it was a no battle zone. It was strictly meant for rest and relaxation only and anyone breaking the rules would loose their right to become a trainer.

Casey's eyes lit up, "It's called Thunder lake, as either Zapdos or Raikou sometimes cones to visit."

Ash, "Hmm, should we visit then? It sounds like a great place."

Brock, "Definitely."

Lily, "I have to get going now. I was planning on heading to Arborville forest. It's rich in fresh ingredients and items that I can use."

They exchanged numbers and through chat was introduced to Yellow, Riley and Simon who were happy to have another aura user with them. Murkrow noticed, Lily was grinning with glee the whole way to Arborville forest and shook his head, his partner was too easy to please. Meanwhile Ash and the others arrived at the Thunder lake popular for it's Electric Legendaries sightings. They saw there were many people around the lake shore as well as Rangers and Life Guards keeping an eye out.

Gou, "It's very peaceful here. I heard this place was heaven for electric Pokemon so I called for my Elekid and Magnemite over. Come out everyone."

Elekid, "Kiii."

Magnemite, "Magne."

Casey, "I had my Jolteon sent over too."

Jolteon was purring by her side, "Eonnnn."

Ash, "Pikachu is enjoying himself too."

Pikachu, "Chaaaaa."

Max, "Mareep likes it too."

Mareep, "Maaaaaaaarrrrr."

Brock, "Hopefully nothing happens."

Gou, "Don't jinx it Brock."

Casey, "Yeah."

Just as Max was about to speak there was a loud crash of thunder that caught everyone's attention. Ash slowly looked up and wanted to face palm at what he was seeing. Out on top of the water Raikou and Zapdos were eyeing each other. Ash didn't feel any hostility from them, though at a closer look, the Pokemon looked a little ruffled and messed up. Brock seemed to notice it too and reached for his medi kit just as the two Pokemon turned in their direction. Raikou much to the Ranger's alarm limped towards the group and sat down grumbling and growling at anyone who approached.

Lucario, -Meema, Brock, she wants you to help her.-

Ash, "Okay, keep the others at bay. Raikou is hurt and might retaliate if she feels like she's being threatened."

Brock approached her slowly, "Hey there, I am a healer. I am here to heal you okay."

Raikou stared at him and then nodded, -Very well.-

Ash gave a sigh of relief and approached Zapdos, "Zapdos, how about I help you?"

Zapdos nodded, agreeing easily at the assistance, his Alpha had told him about their human brimming with aura. Zapdos watched Ash as he approached him holding a box with medicine and started to check Zapdos with Bayleef's help. Zapdos was luckily unhurt and Lucario got the story from him, he was doing his patrol when he saw a questionable group of humans and Pokemon surround Raikou to capture her. Lucario asked for specific details then nodded and approached the Rangers to report what he had learned.

Ash and Brock focused on healing and grooming the two Legendaries till all the dirt and mess were gone. Raikou stood up with clean fur now shining thanks to a special oil meant for electric types. Zapdos got up ruffling his feathers making them gleam under the sun then took flight. Raikou nodded at Brock while Zapdos flew around the lake thrice before they both disappeared from sight. Ash however frowned, the news about Team Rocket was disturbing, they were getting desperate it seems to capture any Pokemon an long as they were Legendaries.

Abra, -Meema?-

Ash, "I'm fine. Just a little worried about what Team Rocket may be planning. They seem desperate lately."

Lucario grouched, -As long as we don't have to deal with them.-

Ash muttered, "I fear we may have to battle them soon."

Casey, "Well you are not facing them alone."

Max, "Yeah."

Gou, "We have a few bones to pick with them too."

Brock, "Perhaps... Rangers."

A brunette Ranger addressed them, "Ranger Crox, come with me. I'll take your report and deal with it."

Ash, "Much appreciated. I'll have to report this to the Jhoto League Council too, so if you could set up a video communication for us."

Crox nodded, "Easily done. Come on."

Ash and Brock went with Crox while Max, Casey and Gou gave their statements along with other people to the Rangers while signing NDAs. The last thing anyone wanted was for Team Rocket to target them, though they all knew a signed paper would not stop a criminal. It was still a good reassurance to have however and most of the people at the lake were trainers so they understood the importance. Ash meanwhile reported what happened to the Jhoto League and the Ranger committee, sightings of Legendary Pokemon, especially in a public area were to be reported to avoid problems.

After the reporting though the crowd began to disperse and leave the area and the group decided to leave as well. Brock mentioned there was a town at the edge of the forest and they could be there by nightfall if they pushed it. Casey, Gou and Ash agreed to get to town, it would be nice to sleep on a bed instead of a camp sleeper. They started to travel and noticed a few of the trainers were heading towards town as well while the rest went in the opposite direction. The town was a decent sized one with a large Pokemart and Pokemon center located on the East and West side.

Casey, "Ooh! Ooh! Actually this town is very famous for it's music star Brittany."

Lucario, -Meema can sing too.-

Ash, "I only sung lullabies. Brittany sings to perform for the audience."

Brock, "Speaking of performance, look here."

Max, "A contest. You can get your final ribbon Ash."

Casey, "It'll be in two days. You have till tomorrow to register."

Ash, "I think I will."

Abra, -Who will you use Meema?-

Ash, "I promised Cyndaquill and Lapras to have a fire and ice theme. Lapras for first round and Cyndaquill for the matches."

Max grinned, "We should get rooms then."

As they settled in the town till the contest day, Casey started meticulously studying the books she got in between training. Max and Gou were off doing their own thing while Brock volunteered at the Pokemon center like the previous times. Ash on the other hand was working on his first part of the performance with Lapras and the second part with Cyndaquill. Soon enough the day of the contest came and the hostess was none other than the beautiful singer Brittany and her Igglybuffs.

Brittany, "Welcome folks to Crystal Lake town's twentieth Pokemon contest. I am your host for the day, the one and only Brittany."

The crowd cheered as Brittany introduced the three judges which were Nurse Joy, Mr Contesta and Mr Sukizo. Max pointed at the last two while Gou gave him an understanding look, it was like there were multiple of them just like Nurse Joy. How was that possible? It was just a few days ago Max saw them in Kanto kick starting the new Pokemon contest season. Max could only imagine the cost of the impromptu flights they had to take in between contests. Brittany meanwhile started to call the contestants to perform.

"Ash?"

Ash turned seeing a familiar purple head, "Harley, I have not seen you in a while."

Harley, "Well unlike us you have your hands full, Champion."

Ash, "Please don't remind me. Team Rocket is such a pain in the neck."

Harley looked him up and down eyed his dark blue get up, "Well, you don't look hurt so that's fine, I suppose."

Ash looked at him and then smiled, "Thanks Harley, I'm okay."

Harley, "You better be I expect nothing but the best from my rival. Ah! Looks like it's my turn already. Prepare to be amazed Champ."

Ash, "Knock their socks off Harley."

Ash watched as Harley performed, "He has a Shedinja and quiet an impressive one too. The control over solar beam and shadow ball is very terrifyingly impressive."

Brittany, "And Harley walks away with full points. Next, we have Ash Ketchum from Pallet town."

Ash, "Finally our turn. Let's go Lapras, show them who's boss."

Lapras appeared as if he was riding a waterfall, his psychic holding himself and the water up, "Raaaaassssss."

Ash grinned as the audience marvelled at the psychic power in display, "Ice beam followed by rain dance."

Lapras shot an ice beam towards the sky as he started to dance mesmerizing the audience with his movements. He moved fluidly as soft snow began to fall glittering under the sun rays catching everyone's eye and wonder. Lapras could feel a smirk threaten to break on his face but Lucario had adviced him not to break character. Lapras were elegant and classy, they do not need to smirk to show they knew they were good.

Ash, "Now, water pulse with thunderbolt."

Only Lapras heard the last order, as everyone was watching him move and he created a thunder bolt and water pulse. He shot the water pulse to the sky first followed by a thunderbolt which hit the water pulse. It ended with bright blue, yellow and white sparkles falling to the arena as Lapras and Ash bowed to the audience that started to cheer enthusiastically.
