Chapter 37

Me and Liz first went and find ourselves an inn which we can stay in. Liz being knowledgeable that she is got a great place for us to stay in, and it was pretty cheap also.

Today, I plan to feed the silver powder to Beedrill since this is the last step in making Beedrill reach the 5 star potential. I plan to do it later in the night at the training grounds of the inn since it will be quiet there, and no one will disturb us.

I rested the whole day at the inn, and gave my pokemon each a massage to reward them for their hard work. Liz was going around the town, and trying to find if there is a black market in it. She also wants to buy supplies to replenish the items we used in the journey. I think she'll be back when it's night time already.

I only have about 4 months before the trial begins, and I think I'll just return to the clan after getting my third badge here. I don't want to be late in returning to the clan since I will be punished if I do.

I'll stay here for a month if there is a black market in here, and then travel back to Pewter City. I'll then use the remaining time to get more money, and then let my two pokemon learn as many moves that they can by the move tutors. But I have to spend some money first in making Golbat reach the 5 star potential. I can't have him losing to Beedrill. I have to be efficient in catching more pokemon since that's my current way in making money, and I know that Golbat cost in increasing his potential will be higher compared to Beedrill.

I'm kind of nervous in the upcoming trials but I feel like I'm going to be strong compared to my peers. Except if there will be a trainer that has a stronger pokemon than mine. But that thing will mostly unlikely to happen, I hope.

Soon, it was night time already and Liz returned bringing new items for our supplies with her. I was in the canteen of the inn, and was planning to get my dinner when she arrived.

"Did you have dinner already, master?" Liz asked as she put down the supplies on the table in front of me.

"Not yet. Let's eat first." I said.

Liz nodded, and then called a waitress in the inn. The waitress then came to us, and gave us the dinner for tonight. We didn't have to pay for the food since it's included with the payment for our stay here. Liz then put some poison on our food for our poison resistance training.

"So, did you find the place?" I asked Liz about the black market while I cut a piece of psyduck meat.

"I did, master. Do you want me to sell the goods tonight, master?" Liz asked.

"Sure. Be careful out there, and make sure that you aren't being followed when you return back." I said, and then started chewing on the psyduck meat. It was a first time for me to eat this kind of meat, and I can say that psyduck meat are great.

Psyduck are cheaply sold here since they are many in numbers in this place. It seems that psyduck lives close to Pallet Town before compared to when I played the game.

"Yes, master." Liz replied.

"Hmm… get the goods from me later after we finished eating." I said after I finished swallowing the psyduck meat inside my mouth.

Liz nodded while chewing on her food. We then ate in silence, and soon we finished after 30 minutes of eating and chatting. Our chat mostly compose of pokemon training, books, and other stuff pertaining to the books that Liz read.

Liz enjoys talking about the things inside the book she read, and I also enjoy listening to it since I learn new information from it.

I and Liz then went to my room, and I gave her a bag which has the pokeballs of the pokemon we caught in the Pallet Forest. Liz then left me then went to the black market to sell the pokemon.

While for me, I went outside and went towards the training grounds. It was time to feed Beedrill the silver powder. Hopefully, Beedrill will increase in potential after this. If she won't then we'll just have to try again in the future.

The training grounds was empty which was a perfect chance for me to do the plan.

"Beedrill, you ready? I'll feed you the silver powder, and you have to concentrate in absorbing the essence of the item. Don't worry about your surroundings since I and your brother Golbat will protect you." I explained to her.

Beedrill nodded, and made a beedrill sound to confirm that she understands. While for Golbat, he said some pokemon words which I didn't understand and he then patted Beedrill with his wings.

"Alright, sit down Beedrill. I'll be giving the silver powder to you now." I said to her, and she stopped flying and sat down at the ground.

I then gave her the silver powder, and Beedrill consumed it. I and Golbat then waited for her to completely consume it. Beedrill stayed still but I can see her eyes dimming. It seems like she's focusing on consuming the bug essence of the silver powder.

"Golbat, listen to the surroundings always. Don't get distracted, or else your sister might get in danger." I said to Golbat. It's unlikely from something bad to happen but it's better to be safe.

Golbat screeched, and flapped his wings rapidly while looking at the surroundings. He seems to be saying that he's on it.

It's cute so I caressed his head while praising him. We then waited for 3 hours but still Beedrill stayed motionless. I don't know what is happening but I wish that she is okay.

While we are waiting, Golbat suddenly screeched. He then made one biting action which means a single person is approaching.
