Icirrus City and its gym: Part 1

After checking his map and checking his position, Touya surveyed his surroundings with curiosity, finding a very beautiful view around him.

In front of him, there was a large plain with what seemed to be a small shallow lake where all kinds of pokemon were found, both Palpitoads and the occasional Shelmet or Stunfish that seemed to try to hide without success.

In addition to that there were two large mills that turned slowly in addition to the occasional house that seemed abandoned.

The weather was cold, making Touya able to even see his own breath from the low temperature.

"I already know where I want to live when I have a family" Touya said very satisfied with this small town.

Touya's jacket began to move a little and Tynamo emerged shivering a little from the cold.

"Tyn" Tynamo said to then get under Touya's cap and hide in his hair.

"Hey hey, you have to ask permission before doing something like that, besides now I'm sure you grew up" Touya said a little indignant and noticing Tynamo's growth.

Previously, Tynamo was around 20cm or so and now he's around 29cm in size, even he hardly fits in Touya's pocket or cap anymore.

"Tynamo" Tynamo said ignoring Touya as he warmed himself with his hair.

"There is no respect these days" Touya said with a nervous smile and then walked towards the town.

The town was as good as the weather with several people dancing and that seemed quite happy.

Touya went to the pokemon center first and bought a blue colored coat, where Tynamo quickly took refuge.

'I wonder if his growth has to do with the thunder stone' Touya thought with a bit of curiosity about that.

Touya walked a bit until he reached the doors of the seventh gym, which seemed to be frozen inside.

"It will be Cheren's favorite for sure" Touya said with an innocent smile and then entered the gym.

Upon entering he could notice that the gym was really frozen inside, besides that he was greeted by Conse.

"Let me guess, the leader is not here and he is in some mythical and dangerous place where I will question the safety of the trainers" Touya said quickly without letting Conse speak.

"Not really, the leader is waiting for you" Conse said shaking his head.

"You won't throw me by a cannon to get to him right?" Touya said a little scared.

"Nor, you just have to slide on the ice, press some buttons and do a few laps, or and also a little jump between zones, but it is almost impossible to fall unless you throw yourself" Conse said with explanatory tone and then warning at the end.

Touya processed the information he was receiving a bit and then said.

"I adore this town" Touya said totally delighted by this town.

After this, Touya was sliding on the ice calmly and then doing a few laps and meeting the first challenge.

"It was almost entertaining to spin around, I felt like a dancer from the eighties" said Touya and then spoke to the trainer in front of him.

"Welcome to your first challenge young challenger, I'll make you tremble with my ice-type pokemon" said a man dressed as a karate fighter for some reason.

'Was that an attempted joke or did he accidentally said it?' Touya thought with real curiosity.

"You go first Sawk" Touya said throwing a pokeball from which Sawk came out.

"Go ahead Cubchoo" said the karate fighter throwing a pokeball as well.

For Touya and Sawk's surprise, a small light blue bear came out of it with what appeared to be allergies.

"*Achiii*" Cubchoo sneezed in an adorable and non-threatening way.

"How can you even think that such an adorable bear fought for you?! You are a monster!" Touya said pointing at the karate fighter with blank eyes and indignation.

"Sawk" Sawk said crossing his arms as he shook his head.

"Cubchoo use powder snow" said the karate fighter, sweating nervously.

Cubchoo approached slowly and stumbling a few times before throwing some dust on Sawk's knees, making him a little cold, but nothing more.

Sawk gave him a small blow on the back of his neck causing him to fall unconscious without any pain.

"You better wait for him to evolve before his next fight, or I'll find you" Touya said with a menacing aura around him just like Sawk making the karate fighter shake in fear and nod his head.

After the strangest battle of all, to do a few more laps and to go through a small fall in which you had to be an idiot to fall, Touya reached the second challenge of the gym.

"Nice to meet you challenger, I am your second challenge before the leader, get ready" said a woman dressed as a fighter with confidence.

"Come out Cryogonal" said the fighter taking out what seemed to be a pokemon with the shape of a snowflake but made of metal and with a slightly creepy face.

"Go Sawk, this time it's a battle" Touya said throwing a pokeball again.

They both prepared for a few seconds and the match began.

"Cryogonal use ice beam" said the fighter quickly.

"Sawk dodge it and use brick break" Touya said giving the order accordingly.

Sawk tried to dodge the ice beam but due to the slippery ice floor he was unable to do so, taking the attack and causing his left leg to freeze.

"The biggest advantage of this gym is that only ice-type pokemon are immune to slippery ground, so you are already at a disadvantage" said the fighter in an explanatory and confident tone.

"I see, it's good to know before the leader" Touya said thoughtfully and then smiled.

"Sawk, use bulk up and then double kick every time you have to walk" said Touya solving the dilemma quickly.

Sawk used bulk up first, causing his muscles to expand and harden causing the ice on his leg to shatter, and then walk using double kick on the ice ground, causing it to break and Sawk can touch the ground of stone underneath.

"Sawk you know what to do, so use brick break" Touya said quickly.

"Sawk" Sawk said confidently.

Sawk propelled himself with force appearing at great speed in front of Cryogonal and hitting him with brick break hard knocking him unconscious.

"W-wow, it finished faster than I thought" said the fighter barely reacting a few seconds later.

"Bulk up is very useful, but apparently it has several side effects" Touya said seeing how Sawk returned to his normal form but that he seemed very tired and sore.

Touya healed Sawk a bit and let him rest for the next fight.

Spin, spin, spin, jump, jump, and Touya made it to his third challenge.

"Congratulations on reaching the third challenge, will you be able to beat me?" said another karate fighter with a slightly proud tone.

"Come out Vanillish" said the karate fighter throwing a pokeball from which came out a pokemon shaped like an ice cream cone only with an ice cone.

"Go Darmanitan, although try not to destroy everything" Touya said throwing a pokeball from which Darmanitan came out excited to fight.

"Vanillish use icicle spear" said the karate fighter seriously.

"Darmanitan use flare blitz" Touya said watching small ice spikes approach Darmanitan.

Darmanitan ignited in flames causing both the ground and icicles to melt and then ran rapidly towards Vanillish.

"Vanillish use acid armor" said the karate fighter a little concerned when he saw Darmanitan too close to dodge.

Vanillish seemed to go liquid, greatly improving his defense and then being rammed by Darmanitan.

But Vanillish was unable to cope with Darmanitan's force and was quickly knocked unconscious.

"You are very promising young challenger" said the karate fighter a little disappointed by his defeat.

"I doubt that's why, after all I just train them right?" Touya said patting Darmanitan's head proudly.

And after a few more jumps, Touya arrived in front of the gym leader.
