Gym of Striaton City: Part 2

Touya looked at the gym leaders with a bit of confusion.

"My name is Chili and I specialize in fire type pokémon!" Chili said full of energy.

"M-my name is Cress and I specialize in water type pokémon" Cress said with a little shyness.

"As you already know, my name is Cilan and I specialize in plant type pokémon" said Cilan with a respectful tone.

"We are the gym leaders!" they all said in unison striking a pose again.

Before the scene Touya and his pokémon had a drop of sweat on the nape of their neck.

"You may wonder why there are three leaders right?, Well, the last challenge is to beat one of us with whom you have a type disadvantage" said Cilan with a calm tone.

"In that case it would be me" Cilan said with a smile.

At that Touya took a serious look and prepared for combat.

"Come out Lillipup" said Cilan throwing a pokeball in the air.

"Oshawott you will go first" Touya said seriously.

"The match between challenger Touya and gym leader Cilan begins..." Conse said expectantly.

Everyone was fully focused on the combat until Conse said.

"Now!" Conse said seriously.

"Oshawott use focus energy" -Touya.

"Lillipup use work up" Cilan said at the same time.

Oshawott concentrated hard on getting precision and reflexes, and Lillipup focused on strength.

Lillipup finished a second early and Cilan said.

"Use bite" -Cilan.

"Oshawott use leer then dodge it and use water gun" -Touya.

Thanks to the focus energy Oshawott followed the orders with total precision, managing to hit Lillipup with a critical.

"Lillipup uses bite again" -Cilan.

"Oshawott prepare to dodge" -Touya.

When Lillipup was close enough Cilan said.

"Use leer" Cilan said quickly.

The leer made Oshawott stay still for a second, causing him to take the hit from Lillipup.

'I see' Touya thought with understanding.

"Oshawott use water gun again" Touya said seriously.

"Lillipup dodge it" -Cilan.

Lillipup almost dodged the attack, but due to exhaustion he was knocked unconscious by it.

In addition, Oshawott has already lost the effects of the focus energy.

"Lillipup can no longer continue, the gym leader only has one pokémon left" Conse said a little surprised.

"Come back mate, you did very well" Cilan said returning Lillipup to his pokeball and taking out another one.

"Come out Pansage show him the power of the plant type" said Cilan with determination.

"Pan Pansage!" Pansage said determinedly.

"Oshawott use focus energy again" Touya said, this time faster than the last.

"Pansage use work up" Cilan said in full concentration.

"Oshawott jump towards him" Touya said seriously.

At that Touya smiled slightly.

Just when both whips were together and close to Oshawott Touya said.

At that Cilan was shocked for a few seconds.

"Use leer and then tackle when falling" -Touya.

"Pansage use vine whip again" Cilan said after a few seconds.

Due to the leer and the shock of Cilan Oshawott was able to hit Pansage doing good damage, but receiving the attack fully and being defeated.

"Oshawott can no longer continue, the challenger only has one pokémon left" Conse said excited and surprised.

"You did very well my friend" Touya said returning Oshawott to his pokeball.

"It's your turn Pansear" Touya said to Pansear on his shoulder.

"Pan Pansear!" Pansear said entering the arena with determination.

"A great decision trainer!" Chili said totally excited.

"Pansear use tackle" Touya said seriously.

"Pansage use leer and dodge it" Cilan said with a bit of concern.

Pansage managed to narrowly dodge the attack, but.

"Pansear use lick and hold him" -Touya.

Pansear managed to take Pansage and Cilan said.

"Use vine whip and free yourself" -Cilan.

Pansage managed to break free of the grip by hitting Pansear's tongue even though he already looked very tired.

'Oh no' Touya thought as he searched in his bag for the badge box erratically.

After a few seconds he found it next to a note.

Touya put the badge inside it and then put the badge box in his bag again.

"I'll give you this too, it's the MT work up I imagine you already know how it works" said Cilan giving Touya a disk.
