Pokemon Gray

The fight between truth and ideals, a confrontation that continues through the ages and which never seems to have an end. This story tries to capture the essence of Unova, what each character represents and what was one of the best if not the best Pokémon story. -Pokémon and the image do not belong to me, and I only try to interpret the characters through this fanfic. -Any advice to improve is welcome. -The story is inspired by the game and not the anime. -There will be small changes, but I will be as faithful to the story as possible. -The names of some characters change depending on the language, so I will name them as I know them. -At the start the writing is quite simple, but I improve my writing in every chapter, so don't worry :P.

Driftveil City

After following Cheren and Camila for a while, Touya found himself in front of a large elevated bridge.

Camila stepped away a bit and then pressed a button on one of her earbuds.

"Hello? Yes, it's me, could you lower the bridge for a moment? There are two challengers for your gym" Camila said on the phone.

In less than a minute the bridge began to lower and then showed the way to the next city.

Upon getting completely down Camila turned to Touya and Cheren and said.

"Well, I'm going, I have to keep working on TV, I'll give you some advice, the next gym leader is strong so get ready, it was a pleasure to meet you" Camila said with a smile and then left.

Cheren was deep in thought and didn't fully listen to Camila.

Noticing this, Touya put a hand on his shoulder causing him to come to his senses.

"It seems that Mirto's advice affected you a lot huh?" Touya said with a small smile.

"Yes, I haven't come to a conclusion yet, but I will still be the strongest trainer, even beat the champion" Cheren said with determination.

"I see, just try not to think about it too much, don't get so frustrated" Touya said with a warning tone.

"Thanks friend, by the way those glasses fit you" said Cheren with a smile.

Touya put his hand on his face in confusion touching his sunglasses.

"Ohh, I forgot, thanks for pointing it out" Touya said with realization.

"See you Touya, make yourself strong for our match in the final" Cheren said defiantly.

"See you friend" Touya said bumping fists with Cheren.

After Cheren continued on his way, Touya pulled out a pokeball and tossed it to the air revealing Sandile.

"Sand Sandile!" Sandile said ready for combat.

"This time there is no combat friend, but a small gift" said Touya taking off his glasses and then putting them on Sandile.

"Ready, now all the girls Sandile will be behind you friend" Touya said with a smile.

"Sand Sandile!" Sandile said wagging his tail happily.

After this Touya walked across the bridge while he looked around along with Sandile.

For some reason, being near certain places could be attacked by an irate Ducklett, so Touya had to avoid these places at all costs.

After walking for a few minutes, Touya reached Driftveil city.

After passing through some kind of flower field with a monument in the center, Touya met Cheren again, along with a man dressed as some kind of capitalist cowboy.

"See you again Cheren, it seems like no one can get away from me" Touya said with false arrogance.

"Don't be silly, I was talking to the gym leader" Cheren said laughing a little.

The cowboy-clad man looked at both of them and said.

"You guys are the challengers Camila was telling me about huh? I'm Yakon Gym Leader of Driftveil city" Yakon said with a firm and serious tone.

"Nice to meet you, I'm-" Cheren said to be cut off.

"Enough of greetings, I have just been informed of some recruits of the annoying team plasma who escaped from my subordinates because of having lowered the bridge" Yakon said with a serious tone.

"It was him" Touya said pointing at Cheren and Cheren pointing at Touya.

"That doesn't matter, what matters is that you arrived and they escaped, take it as you want but you must find those guys right now" Yakon said with a serious and imposing tone.

'he's the graphic representation of a capitalist boss' Touya thought with a nervous smile.

"You're strong aren't you? When you finish come to challenge me, it's normal, give and take" Yakon said and then left.

"I don't want to work" Touya said in a tired tone.

"Yeah, this was too adult's experience for my liking" Cheren said a little uncomfortable.

"Well, I was still going to go after them, so no problem" Cheren said with a shrug.

"You go first, I have to buy potions and take a little break" Touya said thoughtfully.

"You won't leave all the job to me alone will you?" Cheren asked suspiciously.

"I have to admit I'm considering it, but you're lucky that I really dislike the team plasma" Touya said with a bit of annoyance.

"Good, I'll go ahead, I'll call you if I find something" Cheren said and then left.

After buying some potions, resting for a bit in the pokemon center, and healing his pokemon, Touya went in search of the team plasma.

After searching for a few minutes, Touya received a call from his Xtransceiver.

*Ring Ring*

"Look how much you've grown Cheren, I haven't seen you in years" Touya said sarcastically.

"How funny, for a moment I almost laughed" Cheren said with white eyes.

"Did you find the idiots?" Touya asked curiously.

"That's right, and you won't believe where they are" Cheren said wearily.

"In the Titanic" said Touya trying to hit it without success.

"What? No, it turns out that they didn't escape over the bridge, but they did use it as a distraction to hide inside some kind of refrigerator" Cheren said in an explanatory tone.

"Ok, a group of people dressed in knights clothing hiding in a refrigerator, I've already seen it all" Touya said in wonder.

"I'm sending you the location through the Xtransceiver, I'll wait for you here" Cheren said seriously and then cut the call.

"This will be a good anecdote for the future" Touya said to then go towards the address.
