Location: Headquarters of the Pokemon International Police.
Armed Police Force are on guard at the gates of the PIP's main headquarters at Castelia City. Standing beside Emma was her secretary, gazing at the skies of overcast. A few more minutes, the chief inspector will once again reunite with the Detective Looker after more than months of steering clear from the region. Emma knew not why the inspector planned to visit her, and her initial expectation was to analyze her progress. However, had she thought wrong?
The howling wind brought about the chopper flitted through the city as crowds gathered by the watch his coming. Emma couldn't be more excited. Her heart pump beyond what it could. The doors slid. The inspector's took his first steps. Every forth of his was another throb to her. When his foot reached the floor, Emma could no longer hold herself. She rocketed towards the detective and hugged him dearly.
"Hehe, Mr. Looker! You'll be happy to see what I've done with the place."
"Oh really?" He hugged back with chuckles hurling out of his mouth. "I have plenty of time for that. For the meantime, we have other important things to discuss." His grin became a smirk. Emma wasn't certain if they were thinking the same thing. Could've the detective known?
She gulped. "About what?"
"Team Plasma?"
She exhaled in relief but was soon cut off when Looker added, "And your affairs with a member of Team Rocket."
A drop of sweat tickled her toe. "Affairs? What? Me? N-no."
"By affairs, I mean, your business, truce, rather. Anyway, let us discuss more inside. Shall we?"
The armed officers saluted and escorted both of them inside the headquarters. Emma was looking at Looker's briefcase. She guessed why it appeared hard to carry for him. Looker halted in the middle of the lobby. "Huh, flowers?"
"Dandelions!"
"Hhmm, hey? They look pretty."
They went to the elevator. Looker pressed a few of the buttons.
"I forgot to tell you that's under maintenance. It'll be fixed soon enough! Don't worry." Emma tee-heed.
"It's fine. It's been so long since I exercised. Taking the stairs will do just right."
They were able to reach the quarters of the chief inspector. Once the door opened, Mimi, who was sleeping on the couch, woke up. Seeing the inspector by surprise, she cuddled him and tickled his nose.
"Ey? I've missed you too," said Looker, trying to suppress his laughter.
"So," Emma prolonged closing the door afterward. "What are your true intentions here, detective? Ye planning to do Team Plasma investigations? Did that! A new organization? Did that too! I'm becoming quite smart in criminology."
"A new organization?"
"Oh, you haven't heard?"
"What?"
"No, no, I was kidding. There's no new organization. Just trying to joke around." Another sweat dropped from her forehead.
The inspector opened his briefcase and took out a seven photographs. He scattered the photographs on Emma's table and asked that she observe them.
"They look familiar. Er… Sages? The smart wise crooks of Team Plasma?"
"How many have been captured already?"
"Yeah," she prolonged again, rolling her eyes and head to the floor. Her voice became somewhat faint. "Zero."
"Zero?" Looker lifted a browse.
"S-s-sorry Mr. Looker. I'm trying my best to do all that kind of work. Where were you by the way?"
"Kalos. Just interrogated the head of Team Flare."
"Ooh, Lysandre, they say."
"Yes. He's in one of the safest prisons. No one will be able to escape from there. That being said, I was planning to transfer the seven sages there too, but looks like you're not done with that sort of business." He lit his tobacco pipe.
"We're trying hard. There's a few Team—"
"Let me guess, amateurs?"
"Yeah. We arrested them by luck and with the help of—"
"The silent one. Your secretary told me everything about him. Good that he's helping out, bad that he's a Team Rocket member."
Emma glared at the floor and whispered, "I told her not to tell him." He then looked at the inspector. "Not all of them spill the tea."
"Heh, just makin' sure. You never know. You see, Team Rocket, based on what I've heard, is a bit conflicted now. They're dealing with Plasma creeps."
"Like the Pokemon Int—"
"How's Luna by the way?"
"Her? She's on our watchlist. I haven't encountered her."
"Really, eh?"
Emma gulped again.
"She's gotten that tough."
"Phew."
"Anyway," Looker walked around, tossing the baseball ball up and down his hand. "We'll find her with Team Rocket and Team Plasma, chief inspector."
"Ooh! So, I'm still part?"
"Yes. Of course. I've created a new rank for myself, and that is, commissioner. The commissioner is the head of the International Police who governs every headquarters in the region while the chief inspectors are—"
"So, I'm not the only one?"
"Yes, per region will have a chief inspector. They'll have the same role as you."
"Sounds more like Scotland Yard to me."
"Hmm… Kinda, I guess. Emma, you better prepare."
"I'll be a commissioner soon?"
"No, no, not that. I'm commissioner. I mean, better prepare for the hunt. You'll be tracking Team Plasma's sages, Team Rocket, and the new organization you tried to hide from me, and I'll help out, chief inspector."
"Great! Let's get onto it!"
"Eh, later. I'll take my siesta first."
"Aw."
I'll try to finish the volume before a new year. Though there are no guarantees yet. I think there's a 40% chance. (Probability may increase.)
