EPISODE 39: Council*

The headquarters is painted grey, and it had no windows at all. On the grey desk sat a desktop computer, a notebook lying open, and a stack of papers sitting under a turtle-shaped paperweight. In a corner, the air conditioner was blasting at medium, and there was a swivel chair in the middle of the headquarters. A bookshelf, bursting with books was in a corner, with yet another stack of papers under a paperweight that was shaped to look like a tuft of grass. A few pens were lying on the papers, but some had fallen onto the top of the bookshelf.

The ceiling light still illuminated the windowless locale, but it was dim and flickered at strobe-like intervals. The squeaky sounds of automated doors started to emit. A man with a white coat, pristine cerulean eyes, and blonde hair entered. He walks with a shabby stance towards a middle-aged woman, probably three years younger than me.

"Ms. Morgan, have you heard the news?" The man questions with despair. His voice trembles and at the same time, he drops a yellow folder unto the wooden desk of the lady in front of him.

Morgan, a young woman with a fine complexion. Her eyes are painted with the color of dusk, and her hair is as silky as an Ariados web. She is one of the two admins governing the PGC. Her reputation is high when it comes to being gentle and compassionate, however, her spirit can shift into a feisty from time to time.

"The laboratory in Viridian?" Morgan surveys while typing down notes on her laptop.

"Yes, Team Rocket infiltrated the laboratory, and one of their grunts tried to poison our leading professor." His voice continues to throb. Intensely, his hand shivers while handing out my profile.

"Luna Evergreen, so she's the girl my father was talking about. She looks pretty, pretty pathetic." Morgan insults with a hysterical laughter.

"This girl nearly killed two wardens with the use of her Pokemons. You are aware that team Rocket and the Pokemon Government Council are after one Pokemon right?

With an absurd girl who literally fights people, Giovanni has the upper hand." The man fears with twitching eyebrows.

"Do not lose hope, I will be the one to deal with her myself. After all, the both of us are somehow... relevant." Morgan utters with a soft tone. She then giggles viciously while playing a cold smile.

Morgan stops her business for a while and proceeds to her dearest father. Morduk, the leading general of the council. His eyes match the pupils of his daughter, and his hair is much lighter than hers.

Little is known about Morduk, except for the fact he left Team Rocket. Yes, he was once a member of Giovanni's organization, but according to both parties, both of them fought against each other. It was a clash of truth and ideals, objectives against standards.

In the end, Giovanni got the upper hand and kicked Morduk out of his organization. Morduk sought revenge over Team Rocket, and established the Pokemon Government Council with his dearest wife.

"Father, do you remember her?" Morgan questions while showing a picture of me.

"So, she became a member of Team Rocket then. How shocking." Morduk utters with a brittle yet sarcastic tone.

"I wish to fight her, and vengeance will be claimed. She tried to poison our employees, she's a threat to the council." Morgan utters with a brutal yet enthusiastic tone.

"No, no. I want you to convince her to join the council and leave Team Rocket. Although I suppose that you should train hard to persuade her." Morduk suggests. For a moment, his daughter grumbles. She didn't like the idea of her father's proposal, yet she knows deep in her mind she must follow whatever the head says.

Morgan left the room without uttering another word. She is left with a speechless body, ever angry towards a specific person. Me, or her father?

"Don't worry father, I'll prove to you that the both of us are different." She mutters softly while clenching both of her fists. Her teeth grates upon each other, while attempting to avoid the spewing of anger to other employees.

I have never met her before, nor did I even took a glimpse at her, but for some unexpected reason, she seems to be frantic at me.
