S3E22: Parting Ways

The rest of the day was filled with laughter and joy and as Foxx and Dawn walked through one of the fields talking Ash watched on from a distance and didn't really notice Jessie approaching until she was already at his side.

"Ash I know we've never really seen eye to eye on much but I think you're smart enough to realize that there is something going on between Foxx and Dawn." softly sighed Jessie as she stands next to Ash watching Foxx and Dawn talk.

"It's going to be hard for them to go their separate ways. Why not let him come with us?" asked Ash with a smile, "I know Pikachu would love to have his old friend around more. Not to mention then Foxx and Dawn wouldn't have to say good bye."

"There is just one problem with that Ash." sighed Jessie as she turned to look him in the eyes before adding, "Foxx's journey takes him south to the orange islands to visit with Professor Ivy and then from there I'm not sure."

"I see." replied Ash, "This is indeed going to be harder then I'd thought. Maybe I should just let her continue traveling with you guys."

"She wants to travel with you for a little longer. At least until you're finished with the poke league." explained Jessie with a smile.

"But wont that send mixed signals to Foxx?" asked a partially confused Ash.

"Not really she's already explained that you're like a big brother to her and well I think that's why she wants to see this through to the end. At least for the current region you're on." replied Jessie with a smile before adding, "Just promise me one thing."

"What's that Jessie?" asked Ash not really sure what to think.

"Take care of Dawn and keep her safe for Foxx." replied Jessie with a new found form of love and care in her heart that Ash could see in her eyes.

"I will. You can count on me." replied Ash with an encouraging smile.

Meanwhile in the field Foxx and Dawn were walking and talking a bit while holding hands. Now they didn't start off holding hands but well something just drew their hands together until they found their fingers entangled.

"Dawn I know Ash is like a brother to you and you want to see him through to the end of the league he's currently working towards, but I want you to know that I have really enjoyed travailing with you and will miss you." softly sighed Foxx as he looked her in the eyes.

"Hay I'll miss you too but they say distance makes the heart grow more fonder. I wont look at any other boys if you don't look at any other girls." replied Dawn with a smile before leaning in and giving Foxx a soft peck on the cheek.

"So I can still check out all the other boys I want though?" teased Foxx with a smile. "Are Pokémon off limits too? or are they still free game as well?"

"Well not really sure how I'd feel if we met back up and you had yourself a boy friend or if I found you kissing a Pokémon." sighed Dawn as she turned away and tried to fake cry but she just couldn't get the image of Foxx and a female Blazikin kissing, thus she started to laugh.

"Well I was starting to feel bad for the joke but I'm not really sure now." replied Foxx with a raised eyebrow.

"I was trying to act hurt but I just can't get the image of you and a female Blazikin kissing out of my head." laughed Dawn with tears of joy in her eyes.

"Great now I'm going to have to get me a Blazikin to tease you with pictures of us." replied Foxx with a smile as he whipped away her tears as she'd started to get some control over herself.

"You know Joy would not be too happy with you if you did that." replied Dawn with a stern glare.

"What me giving you a hard time and keeping that weird image in your head or me pretending to flirt with another Pokémon other then her?" asked Foxx with a smile.

"Defiantly the flirting with any Pokémon other then herself even if it was to tease me." replied Dawn as she returned to her laughing. "If she wasn't mad at you for your feelings for me then she really would kill you over that."

"I know besides I really don't have the time to hunt down and train a Blazikin as well as do the rest of my research." replied Foxx as he reached into his bag to pull out a set of Midnight Blue Pokeballs covered in little sparkles to resemble the stars before adding, "Here is a set of custom balls that I promised you. Painting was the hardest part since mostly they have the same effect as my current design. So the Pokémon you catch and store in them will be extremely comfortable as well as be healed slowly overtime as long as you remember to charge them. Here is a charger pad just set them on it at night and they should stay charge. Oh and don't give them to Ash he needs the challenge of using just plan balls."

"Thanks but I really don't see myself catching many other Pokémon." sighed Dawn as she took the custom balls and charger.

"Well then when we meet back up I should have a ball transfer machine working hopefully anyways. That way we can transfer your Pokémon into them." replied Foxx with a smile before taking her hand once more. He then looked her in the eyes and said, "As we now go our separate ways I want you to always know that every night when you look up at the stars in the sky know that I'll be looking up at those same starts thinking about you and the day we get to see each other again."

"I will as will I have Professor Oak reach out to you when Ash makes it to the Pokémon League so you can possible come watch me watch him." replied Dawn with a smile.

"I would love to do that as long as you promise to wear that lovely cheerleader outfit for me." replied Foxx before giving her a peck on the cheek which was part of the reason she began to blush the other was the comment about the costume. From there they continued talking until about lunch time when everyone gathered back up to eat and say good bye.
