Affirmations are lost because of this cruel world.

Strength is found when the words echoes its way to our ears.

But when the world denies our efforts the ground trembles and shows us hell.

Hellfire bursting out trying to eat you alive.

The heat fills your lungs, burning you on the inside.

Your mouth dried up from the past affirmations you've forgotten about.

Yet once again, you tell yourself affirmations to sprout wings.

But don't fly too close to fire, else those wings formed from words will melt like wax.

Is it an illusion? Is it real?

Even you can't tell if the words you speak out are true or false.

In the end, the only way to reach heaven is to believe that moving forward is the only truth.

No words or promises will be able to equal a single step towards the fading light.
