Heart's Desires

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be free?

To be void of all responsibilities and long what you truly want?

Doing what your heart truly desires is hard;

Life gets in the way.

School, jobs, anything really

In this day and age, you have to be realistic

Practical even.

Following dreams is easier than following heart's desires

My dream is of one that takes hardwork and dedication,

Years of schooling just to become a veterinarian

A lot of hardwork and dedication

My heart's true desire is to be a writer.

Where I write for myself and hopefully get recognized

My books make me happy.

Happy enough to where I am content with the worlds I create.

They are a way for me to put my thoughts on paper

Bring the worlds from my mind alive.

I wish I could read and write to my heart's content,

But I know I won't make enough writing.

I will always have this as a backup

A way to write anonymously and let my worries out.

A way to calm the mind.
