Week 28: Fantasy Cub

You: "Can I go back to the fantasy world to attempt to find a possible companion for my journey?"

Kore: "Sure, I'll take you to the dark forest... it's called that not because it's dark, as it's actually well lit even at night, it's called that because everyone in that world is in the dark of what all resides there, as none that enter that forest ever leave alive. You'll be fine though, as you are under my power and can't even be perceived."

You see the spinning lights yet again and end up in a forest that's more beautiful than anything you would have ever been able to imagine yourself, this forest having no signs of being touched by man.

You look around to see what types of fauna you can find, as well as possible weapon ideas.

You see that the creatures of these woods seem to live in relative harmony, and that they even have a tendency towards helping each other. You see that there are strange, almost humanoid, green skinned creatures that also work with the others, having glittering weapons that look like spears and swords, albeit rudimentary versions. You also see one animal, that looks similar to a cross between a wolf and Polar Bear cub that's by its lonesome. The cub looks like it won't last w/o help, yet the green skins don't seem to notice it.

You: "How can I help the cub?"

Kore: "There are 2 ways you can guarantee it is helped, but both would have to be your request for me to be able to do it. The first would be for you to have it as your tamed beast, for that you would have to end up choosing either the Fantasy or Apocalyptic world. The second would be for you to simply have me heal it, at no benefit to you. Those are the only two options that will guarantee it surviving.

"There is however a third option that I'd be willing to do without it counting as a request though, and that would be me just increasing the light shining onto it, to increase the chances of the goblins noticing it. Such would not guarantee it's survival, but it would greatly increase the chances."

You: "I'd like to make it my companion."

Kore: "Alright, I'll heal it and bring it out of reality with us so if you wish you can start to get to know it now."

You see a light envelope it, once the light is gone it's on its paws wagging it's tail, staring straight at you, with it's tongue hanging out.

You: "Do you have anything I can feed it?"

Kore: "Sure, that's but a simple matter when we are in this state."

She hands you something that looks like jerky.

Kore: "Even if you weren't but a soul at the moment, you would be able to eat that safely, but I would not suggest anyone who is not just a soul to eat it. In a corporal body if you ate such you would have a high likeliness to end up having an out of body experience that would take hours before you'd be able to get back to your body. However once you did you would feel very refreshed, and your body would be working better than ever... this effect would happen only if you were in the mortal plane, as you are in the divine plane you don't have to worry."

You taste it, then offer the cub the rest. To you it tastes like a mix of apples, pears, oranges, pineapples, and ginger. Yet you can tell it's really some sort of meet. The cub jumps on you after greedily eating it, licking you all over the face.

You try to rub it's belly, it is still licking you until you reach a specific spot, at that spot it just rolls over happily accepting your belly rubs. That's when you notice it's clearly male.

You: "I'm gonna call you Archer."

Archer makes a sound that sounds like a mix of a bear-like purr and a wolf-like bark, seeming to like the name.
