Finis

Just meters away from the tents, a distance from the well-maintained grass, Falgur and Sheyken were sitting down on the sand under a tree that looked like a Palm tree. Falgur had given up on chasing him as Sheyken would just use 'Maneuver' on him when he got close. They recognized someone from the guild that they had seen on their way out when they were dragging Lasore.

"So now they decide to get involved."

Sheyken said as he put on Shadow's jacket. Falgur just kept quiet, still frustrated not to have had his revenge. Sheyken sighed and then looked up at the now blue sky with the sun starting to be blazing hot.

"Falgur."

He said his name in a serious tone which made Falgur look at him.

"There are things I haven't told you about me that I will tell you when the time is right. Infect even your father asked me to tell you so we can help each other.

"Falgur smiled."

"Someone might be listing to us hear because I think the guild might be keeping an eye on use. So, I will tell you when I am sure we are alone."

Falgur slightly nodded.

"I am telling you this because after what happened in the village, I have told myself I am in a dark fantasy and I have to darken my heart in order to survive here."

"What is a dark fantasy?"

Falgur cut in in confusion. Sheyken sighed and told him he would tell him later and he must just listen to him for now.

"Because of what I have been through before I came here and having killed before, I have no problem killing anyone who is the scum of this world, especially those who have anything related to witches. We do not have to talk about the Luminexis."

He said as he looked at him with a caring but older brother's look.

"You just took many lives in one fight and I do not know how you feel about that since you are young, tell me, brother, are you ok?"

Falgur looked up at the clear blue sky.

"Well, aren't you young too?"

Sheyken wanted to slap him at the back of his head as he thought he was not taking the conversation seriously.

"I mean, I went out to a world filled with screaming villagers and their suppressors that they thought were evil asking for your acquaintance to kill them. I watched a cool-looking boy who is as old as me walking amongst the chaos of it all unfazed and talking to existences so powerful I do not have the imagination yet to guess their powers. That same boy told me he killed two boys like it was nothing to him later on."

He said, still looking to the sky. Sheyken's mind was blank and he even forgot to tell Falgur to not talk about the village since he just told him the guild might be keeping an eyes on them and might be able to hear ehat they wear talking about. Falgur's tone felt like he had somethings he wanted to get out his chest.

"I saw the person who said he would treat me like his brother taking out a dead body from Ruby and robing the belongings of whoever the body belonged to then leaving the body like that, without a second thought."

'Wait, wait, wait, is he saying he can kill like that without any remorse because of me?'

Sheyken's mind stopped going blank and he finally had a thought.

"And then, I saw that boy ready to level a whole guild because someone had a sword on my neck."

Faglur said as he finally stopped looking at the sky and looked at Sheyken.

"Brother, my dead had already told me how unforgiven and dark the world was, but if I would hide behind my age and let something happen to someone who without hesitation took me in as his brother, I will die with shame and disgrace to my parents."

Sheyken was taken aback by the words and thought about how much Vitula could have possibly taught Falgur in those years.

"I only have you now, whether you like it or not."

He said with a smile.

"And I hate the same scum as you do. I'll be damned if they touch a hair on you."

Sheyken could not help but smile. He lifted Falgur off the ground and as soon as he was in the air, he made a superman pose.

The women who had now been told that the kids that saved them were Finis by the Guild member, after again seeing them play with one of them floating in the air were now terrified of the Finis from the snake's end.

In the guild, Seduralto was laughing out loud, almost enjoying every bit of what Salina was telling her.

"So, in conclusion, you are telling me that in their first morning in Senjira, they massacred every single Gores Initiate, including their leader, and not just killed them, but killed them in a gory kind of way... like their name?"

Seduralto looked at Salina who was kneeling and continued to laugh.

"Not only that, but you are a mage on the solid state and on the verge of being second tier and you are telling me you are afraid of them?"

Salina looked at Seduralto in dejection.

"You did not see what those kids did, especially Sheyken. I do not know who taught him sword techniques but that was just pure savagery."

"So, the day has come where a Finis kid had scared a mage."

Salina just looked down and said nothing.

"The capital has spoilt you. Even I have killed when I was young."

"Salina looked at her."

"Where you 7 years old and killed 21 Initiates including one that obtained a forbidden ritual on her own?"

She said trying to drive her point. Seduralto finally stopped mocking her.

"So, I see. I was worried about the wrong people!"

She stood up and looked out the window.

"You might be right. The world might be not prepared for this new breed of Finis."

She turned and was now serious.

"They could have never defeated an Initiate without a Blessing, what are they?"

"His brother has some kind of electric Blessing and for Sheyken I think it is telekinesis."

Seduralto was visibly pleased.

"We have never had two brothers or anyone from the same place have a rare Blessing and a unique one as well at the same time. I do not think they are blood-related but they do act like brothers."

Salina remembering something cut her short.

"After they killed the leader, Sheyken did kick Falgur's arse sending him flying quite a distance. I think he was punishing him for something he did during the fight."

Seduralto could not help but laugh.

"So, I guess he is the older brother of the two even when they are both seven."

Salina had not stayed and seen them play which is why she concluded that Sheyken kicking Falgur was some sort of punishment.

"Well, since they already did something so nice for the people, let us give them something to do before we live. I was hoping to catch who was turning them but I guess my father will have to take it from here. The year is about to end after all."

Seduralto said with a smile.

By the tree, Sheyken saw Esiyana approaching with her mother and he put Falgur down.

"Let me speak for all the others and thank you for saving us. Since they were there for longer than me, I think they are still traumatized by such an event in their lives, so please forgive them for not coming to thank you."

Sheyken looked over and saw that they were all looking their way.

"There is no need to thank us."

He said with a smile.

"You two are young, don't you think you are reckless for jumping into a situation like that."

The lady wanted to scold them but could not let out all she wanted to say as she was still scared of them and they did just save her.

"It is never reckless when women and children are involved."

The lady looked Sheyken in the eyes like she wanted to give him a mouthful but could not.

"Don't you understand that you two are children?"

Sheyken smiled.

"Yes, I do, and that is what made it not a reckless decision. Since with us there, women..."

He pointed at her.

"And children were involved"

He pointed at him and Falgur. The lady let out a sigh of resignation.

"Are all Finis like you too?"

She asked.

"Nop, we just hate initiates and witches."

Sheyken said as he rubbed the back of his neck. Esiyana's mother had nothing to say at that point. Esiyana was looking at Falgur the whole time like she was furious with him. Falgur just paid no attention to her. Sheyken knew the game he was playing.

"So, why is a guild member here when they did not help."

He said as he pointed at the man who saw him as he pointed his finger at him.

"There are many goods that they had stolen. Someone at the guild had sent him here to make sure we divided the goods as intended for a small fee."

"So, they are always about money."

Sheyken said in spite. Esiyana's mother wanted to say something to him regarding what he just said but decided that since he was still young it was better for him to find out how the world worked by himself. She knew from what they would say about Finis in the town that they lived secluded and knew nothing of the world but the Trial Forest. She turned around and left.

"Well brother, quite a morning we had. Think the day can get any livelier?"

"Are you crazy, I am almost spent already. I used up more of my Blessing than I used to. Fighting like that is like a whole day of intense training.

When Falgur said that, he remembered his observation of him fighting.

"I think I need a good weapon. For now, my Blessing only affects me and things I can conduct my lightning through."

Falgur continued and Sheyken smiled because he was thinking of the same thing.

"Well, I guess that should be our task. To find a weapon for you before we live."

Falgur smiled.

"While we are at it, I'll teach you some of my sword techniques."

Sheyken said with a tone that expected ''yes master' for an answer.

Falgur could not hide his joy. Sheyken did not know it but he also wanted to ask him if he could teach him. His father knew nothing about sword techniques and he went with what he thought was ok when training him.

"Just know I already have a master."

Falgur said, knowing what he wanted him to say.

"Hahaha, well, just know I will only teach you if you call me 'master'."

Falgur was not having it. The women watch as two Finis kids laughed and argued as they disappeared in the town buildings as they were on their way to the guild.
