"Falgur, do not let Lariote out of your sights."
Salduralto said as she saw Alati's dead body and Salina looking at Lariote like a beast about to go on a rampage that would do anything to get to its target.
"Salina, calm down. We need to know what happened here first."
She had seen the black material that was in Alita's eyes and that had pierced her eyes. The ground shook and the wind around Salina intensified. Seeing this and knowing how her Blessing worked, Salduralto knew what she had to do. The wind Around Salina started going brown as sand started to mix in with the wind as it gets stronger. The roof was torn off by the violent wind but Falgur and Sazi had a sand barrier that had sprung up around them both protecting them from it all.
Falgur was also holding Lariote's hand. He did not know why he seemed mellow and almost confused but was happy did he was not causing any trouble in the sand barrier since Sazi was right next to them.
A tornado formed around the buildings as the winds picked up but Salduralto grew tired of it all. She knew that the longer Salina was in her berserk form the stronger she would become but she could never go past her and get to Lariote.
"Seems like that is quite enough."
She said with a smile. Understanding the extent of Salina's strength at that moment. The sand that was mixed with the tornado that had formed instantly overwhelmed the strong winds and broke them apart. The whole event was over in a blink of an eye.
Salina's outfit had gone brown as the sand covered her whole body and it prevented her from moving and casting spells. The barrier around Falgur, Lariote, and Sazi crumbled and disappeared into air making the place be like no grain of sand were ever-present except for the one on Salina.
Falgur was amazed at the battle that took what seemed to be seconds to finish and marveled at the control of mana Salduralto had just shown, but one looked on Salina's still raging eyes put him back in mind of the situation. Lariote had sand that looked like cafes of his hands within a blink of an eye, as two sand golems raised from the ground with one stationary and the other securing Salina who was still looking at Lariote and nothing else.
"Falgur, thank you for the assistance, I've got things anther control now. You can look after Sazi. We need to had to the guild for now and I do not know what happened here. I have to stop Salina from Killing the only witness we have for now and there might still be an enemy around. So, keep your guard up."
Falgur looked at Sazi who had her eyes closed with her hands, and scared and nodded. The Golem moved first as with Salina with the other one taking a position to guard Alati's body. They got outside the house and A few people who were nearby had started gathering.
"Hey, brother? What happened? "
Sheyken's voice sounded out from the crowd as he came into view. He had left Zali who had sobered up and was alert for anything as he gathered the teleportation station.
"Will tell you on the way. Be on guard, we have to protect Sazi."
When Falgur finished saying that Sheyken put his force field around her and was already on guard. Salduralto who was calm but alert saw this and smiled. She was moving slowly as she was scanning the area as they moved.
She frowned when she saw the man that was up ahead and who was also looking at Lariote like he would slaughter him at any second.
Algazuma, not you too. I have to keep one raging bull from going rampage already, do not make me subdue you too.
"Then tell me my daughter is safe."
Algazuma said with steam coming out of his nose. Salduralto keep quiet though she knew her silence spoke volumes.
"Lariote! What did you do to my daughter!"
Algazuma voice was so loud and scary at that moment that even Salduralto did not want to talk to such a man who only wanted to see his daughter and knew something was wrong.
With no one answering him the sand around his feet started to turn into lava.
"Sheyken, Falgur, get to the guild with Lariote. I think we have to many hot-headed people around right now. Get the people out of here or they will die."
"You can count on us!"
Sheyken said and instantly running and directing the people out of the area.
"Algazuma, we have to find out what happened. Killing him right now without questioning him would be unfounded. Calm down, I already have to deal with Salina."
"Why are you talking like my daughter is no more with us."
Salduralto kept quiet again. She knew what was going to happen if she answered the question. As Algazuma was not getting any answers from her and had a feeling that something horrible had happened to his daughter, the ground that was already magma under his feet swallowed him as he moved under the ground instantly creating lava that he was swimming in as he traveled to the direction of Lariote's house.
Salduralto sighed and hoped the boys would reach the guild before Algazuma erupted.
"Ahhhh!"
A scream was heard from inside the house as with the torn roof Salduralto heard the cries of a father. The Golem that was holding Salina started sprinting off in the guild's direction. Inside the house, Algazuma who had an arm missing was crying over his adopted child. He had grown a Lava hand that was not hot and burning Alati's body. The scar on his chest was glowing red like love was inside it. he stopped weeping for his daughter and face the direction of the guild as the ground swallowed him again. A moment later he was spat out of the ground as it had ejected him.
"Algazuma, Stop. I know she was your whole world but..."
"But what?"
"We need to investigate what happened. If you rush into things, we might not get the full story."
Salduralto said with a sad face.
"My daughter died in the bed of another man, murdered and you want the full story?"
Salduralto looked hurt when he said those words.
"Don't you think I want to kill him right now?"
"I do not know how guild leaders think, and I do not want to understand. When you take a woman who cannot protect herself into your bed in this world we leave in, you better have treated her like the fragile person she is. If you kill her, well.... and if you cannot protect her, in my books, inviting her into your house with you unable to protect her is akin to killing her."
Algazuma said with venom in his voice.
"I know you are stronger than me, but you will have to choose guild master, it is either he dies by my own hands right now or you kill me with your own because there is no way I am letting him live to see the sunrise again."
The ground started to boil as it erupted around Algazuma.
"I see even you, have forgotten who I am. I can understand Salina's rage which is caused by her Blessing, but even though I understand yours, I must look at this incident not blindly. We want the same thing, but as the guild master's own daughter, I must show you I am capable of bringing true justice.
