Weidian had been unable to operate as it did normally for some time now. Therefore, now, in the face of a massive online bobycott, they were in a crisis. "Jiu Zhong Tian" was forced into a state of limbo where filming was indefinitely suspended.

Xu Jieming's acting career was in ruins. He was also likely to face jail charges, so he was staying out of the public's eye.

One day, Qiao Chen received a call from Xu Jieming requesting a meeting. Qiao Chen agreed. Once he arrived, Qiao Chen watched Xu Jieming sit in the seat opposite to him. Xu Jieming was dressed in an inconspicuous cap and dark sunglasses.

"What do you want from me?" Qiao Chen asked bluntly.

"It was you, wasn't it? You did all of this!" Xu Jieming glared fiercely at Qiao Chen under his sunglasses.

"You've done so many shady things in your life. I can't be the only person you've offend. How can you be so sure that I'm the one who did this to you?"

Xu Jieming did think it over. He had committed many offenses to many people, but Qiao Chen was the only one who had the ability to push him to this point. After all, Qiao Chen had Du Jingnan in his pocket.

"I know it's you. It has to be you! Why did you do this to me? Was it because I pushed you into Li Huang's bed? He didn't even get to sleep with you. How can you be such a vicious person? You're pushing Liu Yi and me toward our deaths. I never expected you to be such a person." Xu Jieming clenched his jaw in anger and growled out with vitriol. He hated Qiao Chen from the very bottom of his heart now.

"I was lucky that he wasn't able to rape me. If I wasn't lucky, then he wouldn't have 'slept with me'. It would have been worse than that. He would have raped me. What else would I have done besides jump off the balcony of that 16th floor room? So do tell me, who pushed who to their death first?"

"You're just creating straw man argument. None of that actually happened, did it? So now you're making me pay based off of these could-have-beens?" Xu Jieming roared in a deep voice.

"Sure these things didn't happen, but weren't you the one who caused my father's car 'accident' to happen?" Qiao Chen stared straight back at Xie Jieming. The hate and anger in his eyes weren't any less than the hate and anger in Xie Jieming's eyes.

Xu Jieming's haggard face turned even uglier. He never expected Qiao Chen to find out about the truth about his father's accident. He had been so secretive and careful when he caused the accident. He was 100% sure that he had deleted all the security footage for the Shu family's car garage. How would Shu Qichen know?

"I already found your partner who fled with the money. Can you guess what he's already told me?" Qiao Chen stood up and continued, "I'll see you in court. You'd better find a good lawyer- or you can just wait until the court date and find yourself with a heavier sentence than normal."

Qiao Chen ignored Xu Jieming's look of shock. While Xu Jieming was still lost in his thoughts, Qiao Chen left.

"Did you get to do everything you needed to do?" Du Jingnan asked Qiao Chen once he sat in the car.

"There wasn't much I had to say to him. Everything that should be said will be said in court."

Du Jingnan started up the car and drove onto the road from the parking lot. A car behind him suddenly attempted to ram into his car. Du Jingnan's reacted quickly and fortunately avoided it.

"It's Xu Jieming's car." Qiao Chen said. He immediately recognized the car that was about to hit them.

"I'll show him the path since he's looking for his own demise." Du Jingnan looked at the car that screeched into a U-turn. Now they were face-to-face. Du Jingnan quickly turned the steering wheel.

"Don't let him die like this. It's his easy way out. " Qiao Chen held tightly onto the door and stabilized himself as the car turned sharply.

Xu Jieming's sanity was run by his anger. He was at the end of his rope, but he'd never allow Shu Qichen live the rest of his life so easily now.

Xu Jieming's face was hideously scrunched up in anger. His reddened eyes popped out with fury. Blue veins were bursting as he gripped the steering wheel. Xu Jieming was so angry that he wanted both of them to die together. He needed to take Shu Qichen down with him, so he desperately attempted to crash into Du Jingnan's car again.

Right when Xu Jieming thought he was going to finally crash into Du Jingnan's car, it quickly shifted over to the right. Xu Jieming skimmed against the side of Jingnan's car. Xu Jieming's car immediately overturned and flipped off of Du Jingnan's car. It rolled until it hit the tree besides the road and stopped.

Luckily, there weren't many other vehicles on the road right now. No other cars were involved with the accident. Du Jingnan and Qiao Chen exited the car to check on Xu Jieming's situation in his car.

Xu Jieming was passed out in his car with a bloodied face. Qiao Chen immediately called for an ambulance. He didn't want Xu Jieming to die so easily. It was too cheap of an end for the man.

The ambulance arrived and took Xu Jieming to the hospital. Du Jingnan and Qiao Chen didn't follow them. Du Jingnan called someone to deal with the accident. Then, he sent someone to the hospital to check on Xu Jieming for him. Finally, they went home and waited for the news.

Xu Jieming's condition stabilized in three days. He woke up while in the intensive care unit. After two days of observations, the doctor discovered that Xu Jieming suffered an injury to his head. He seemed to be suffering some sort of delirium. Xu Jieming was also exhibiting the mental capacity of a two or three year old child.

The Prosecutor General's Office had been looking for Xu Jieming because of his suspected economic fraud. The Prosecutor General immediately sent someone to guard Xu Jieming when he entered the hospital so Du Jingnan couldn't take him away directly.

After a few more days passed, Qiao Chen went to the hospital to see Xu Jieming. He happened across the sight of a nurse feeding him food. He ate about half the food and vomited the other half out. Furthermore, his eyes showed a faraway stare, and it looked like he was in some sort of trance.

After the nurse finished feeding him his meal and exited the room, Qiao Chen locked the door behind her. He sat down beside the hospital bed and said in a low voice, "You really were worthy of winning that best actor award. It really looks like you've gone off the deep end."

Xu Jieming leaned back on the bed and stared blankly ahead. There was no expression on his face. There weren't even any fluctuations in his eyes.

Qiao Chen laughed when he looked at him. Then he said in a normal voice, "You can't be taken care of while you're like this now. You won't have to worry even though your parents are gone. I helped you find your uncle. He'll bail you out and take you back home to care for you."

Qiao Chen leaned against the bed again, looked at Xu Jieming, and said, "Anyways, we are friends. I hope I'll be able to help you since you've become like this. Du Jingnan has an island in G country's sea. The island has excellent scenery and has a suitable climate. Not only that, because they also have various equipment in their facilities to help you with your recuperation. After your uncle helps you with all the necessary procedures, I'll have Du Jingnan send you there on his private jet."

Qiao Chen stood up, put his hand on Xu Jieming's shoulder, and secretly gripped it tightly. Then he said, "Don't worry. When we arrive on the island, Du Jingnan and I will definitely entertain you well enough. We'll do our utmost to help you return to normal."

Qiao Chen emphasized the last three words in particular. The dark expression in his eyes couldn't be more obvious.

Xu Jieming's eyes were dull the entire time. However, because of Qiao Chen's words, there were finally some fluctuations. The second Qiao Chen walked out of the ward, the face he worked so hard to keep dull and lifeless finally cracked. However, because of his attempt to control his expression, it looked like he twitched a bit.

Xu Jieming's heart was already churning because of Qiao Chen's words. His uncle was a heavy gambling addict. The man gambled every single penny he had left on him. So even if he did have any money, he wouldn't use it to bail him out. The bail Shu Qichen was talking about was probably from his very own pocket. Shu Qichen was only using his uncle so he could bring him to that island he was talking about.

How could Shu Qichen send him to such a luxurious island to recuperate? Anyone could tell from the look in his eyes and the tone of his voice that he had bad intentions. If he really left the country and was taken to an isolated island… Then that meant that he could only cry and wish for his death no matter what Shu Qichen did to torture him. No one could save him then.

No! He couldn't fall into Shu Qichen's hands. He would definitely take revenge against him for killing his father. Shu Qichen would undoubtedly torture him to death.

Xu Jieming tightly gripped the sheets under him. He finally made up his mind that he could never be taken away by Shu Qichen, even if that meant he had to go to jail. On the day he would be released would be the day Shu Qichen would whisk him away to an abandoned island and tortured to death.

Qiao Chen was at home as he watched Xu Jiemin's every move through the surveillance device secretly installed in the ward. Xu Jieming did exactly as he expected and returned to normal within two days.

"Ugh how boring. He was so fearless when he tried to kill us by crashing into our car. I thought he had guts if he was planning on doing all of that." Qiao Chen sneered in distain.

"You sound quite disappointed. Well if that's the case, then why did you threaten beforehand? You could have just taken him to the island without all that nonsense." Du Jingnan said.

"You're island is saved for the elderly to retire. If he goes there, then even the air on that island would be polluted. I'd feel so bad for the people living on the island if I knew he was there on it with them." Qiao Chen fell in love with the island ever since he first saw Du Jingnan's island. He didn't want such a beautiful island be tainted by Xu Jieming's mere presence.

"Then send him to a different island. He doesn't necessarily need to go to that one in particular."

Qiao Chen set the laptop aside, Then he straddled Du Jingnan's lap and asked, "How many islands do you have? It wouldn't be the island you tossed Li Huang would it?"

"The island I tossed Li Huang on isn't mine. No one owns that island. No one is willing to spend any of their money to buy it either." Du Jingnan picked Qiao Chen up and walked to the room. "What's mine is yours. I will leave every single one of my properties to you if you want as long as you marry me."

"Am I the kind of person who would sell myself for money?" Qiao Chen asked as he jokingly put on airs.

Du Jingnan listed a bunch of numbers in Qiao Chen's ear. Qiao Chen had the system, so he was never worried about money. However, Du Jingnan still surprised him. There were still some things that you couldn't buy even if you had the money. There were things that could only be accumulated through generational wealth where each and every one of the generations flourished.

Qiao Chen was lost in thought as he calculated the value in all of Du Jingnan's properties. Du Jingnan place him on the bed. Then he took out a white lace dress from the armoire, laid it out on Qiao Chen, and said "Let me see you with this on."

Qiao Chen picked up the dress and wanted to immediately throw it away. However, Du Jingnan caught it before he was able to toss it out. Qiao Chen immediately sat back up and retreated. "Don't you even think about it. I don't want to show you."

Ever since Qiao Chen returned back to Du Jingnan's home, Du Jingnan had confiscated all the women's clothing from Feng Huo Ling Yun's wardrobe department. Then, from time to time, he'd pull out an outfit for Qiao Chen to wear. Qiao Chen, of course, disliked it. He'd strongly refused and denied every single time. There was no way he'd want to wear such outfits for their nighttime exercise. He didn't want to play such an abnormal game with Du Jingnan in their bed.

Du Jingnan grabbed Qiao Chen's ankle and pulled him back. Then he pushed Qiao Chen down and quickly stripped Qiao Chen naked.

"Let go of me you pervert!" Qiao Chen resisted like before, but was quickly 'convinced' to continue like before.

"Ah~ Ahnn~" Qiao Chen was in bed on his knees. The white lace dress was half hanging off of his body and the skirt had been hiked up to his waist. Du Jingnan was thrusting into him from behind.

Xu Jieming was immediately taken away by the Prosecutor General once the doctor confirmed that Xu Jieming's brain returned back to normal. The Prosecutor General quickly found more evidence of Xu Jieming's crimes in his hiding place. He also found the surveillance footage that showed Xu Jieming sabotaging the late Shu's car in the Shu Estate's car garage.

Xu Jieming refused to admit that the video of him committing premeditated murder was true once he knew that surveillance footage had been found. After all, he had very thoroughly deleted all evidence of it. Furthermore, he never even saved the footage, so how did it even appear in his computer?

He denied it until the Prosecutor General's office played the video for him to see. Xu Jieming couldn't understand why there even was a video left or how it got into his computer. However, he still couldn't find a way to defend himself. He had the feeling that Shu Qichen had done this, but he couldn't figure out how Shu Qichen could have done it.

In reality, Shu Qichen would have never been able to get his hands on the footage. Qiao Chen was the one who recovered the video using his system the day he bought back the Shu estate. Then he waited for the perfect moment to use this against Xu Jieming.

Qiao Chen quickly found a lawyer and took Xu Jieming to court. He provided some more evidence of Xu Jieming's crimes to the lawyer, so they could nail some more charges against him. The person who had stolen all the company's money from before testified in court and admitted that he and Xu Jieming had planned the whole thing together.

Xu Jieming first planned and executed the murder of Shu Qichen's father. Then there was another charge against him for attempted murder when he tried to run Qiao Chen and Du Jingnan off the road. In addition, he also had several charges of economic fraud. Xu Jieming had been afraid of a lifetime prison sentence all his life. However, he now chose to go to jail in order to escape Shu Qichen's clutches. Living, even though it was in jail, was better than a death sentence.

One year later, Jiu Zhong Tian began filming once more. Qiao Chen still played the role of Zhu Hua. This time, however, Ao Jing was played by Du Jingnan.

Du Jingnan originally didn't want to play this role. He felt like he was picking up Xu Jieming's leftovers. However, Qiao Chen, or rather the original Shu Qichen, wanted him to act alongside him in this film. Therefore, Qiao Chen who wanted to achieve Shu Qichen's hopes and dreams for him, worked hard to make the film work. He whispered countless promises and annoyed Du Jingnan until he promised to star in Jiu Zhong Tian.

After Jiu Zhong Tian's release, it became a box office hit. They made two or three times the estimated profit. Furthermore, it became an instant classic. Qiao Chen and Du Jingnan both took home several awards for their work in Jiu Zhong Tian. Later on, there were other remakes and versions of Jiu Zhong Tian, but none of them surpassed the portrayal and storytelling of the Qiao Chen and Du Jingnan's version.

Qiao Chen publicly announced his romantic relationship with Du Jingnan as well as their engagement. This broke countless fans' hearts, but their male god married their other favorite male god. They consoled themselves with this knowledge and thought it would be better for them to marry each other instead of some randoms or nobodies anyway. Therefore, the fans gave both Qiao Chen and Du Jingnan their most sincere blessings and wishes.

Qiao Chen slowly retreated from the public eye. By the time he was 40 years old, he had completely withdrawn from the entertainment industry. Now he spent most of his time with Du Jingnan island hopping as they lead a luxurious and leisurely retirement.
