Meeting

The shadows of the forest passed quickly, leading deeper into the darkness as my blood flows freely from my wounds, "you can't keep running little girl, I've already stuck a sword in your chest, even if you have the healing abilities of a dragon you should be at the edge of consciousness!" I slip behind a tree, casting a spell and teleporting ahead, I've gained the few precious seconds I need to cast a healing spell, but he's right, my body can't keep going like this. "Druid I call thy name," I dodge fowards as a sword splits the tree in half and I run ahead again "please turn my fate away from these demons, give me a chance to live." I feel my mana dip, the words act like a spell though I have no idea if it worked, and with that done I continue running again, hoping that the forest is listening.

"Wolf, I would ask that you make a move." I turn, looking at Druid as I set the pups bone, the little wolf was playing near a cave and fell in, luckily I found it before the tiger that was sniffing along its tracks. "You speak of the dragon child that is running through my realm, I heard her pleas but have no intention to do anything, I have no reason." I turn away and pull some herbs from a hole in the wall, feeding them to the pup to help with the pain, it quickly falls asleep, the poor babe must have been in such pain that it couldn't relax. "You've held up well child, sleep, no harm will come to you." I stand and walk out, I've made multiple areas in this cave, most of them house sick animals, though I find the occasional idiot human that's gotten hurt "please wolf... you need a reason to help right? I'll make a bargain, help the dragon and I'll help you control your anger for three years." My eyelids veil my eyes as I watch her, this dragon must be the child of someone great to make Druid take this deal, she knows better than most that my anger isn't something easily quelled when it rises. "Three years? Why so long, who is this child?" She snorts, gesturing me on, she doesn't intend to tell me anything it seems "give me your blood, I'll not take this deal without it." How far is she willing to go for this dragon child? "Don't forget that you live in this forest of my grace oh great demon. I know who you are, and while I respect the lengths you go to protect the world from your anger I am not above kicking your butt." We both know I could destroy Druid before she could wound me, especially if I released the demon I control, but even so she never hesitates to tell me she'll kick my ass. I watch her a few more moments and finally raise my leg, kicking the ground twice as a magic circle appears "and don't forget tree mother, my specialty is fire." I disappear, I felt the mana from the dragons teleportation spell, this entire forest is under my surveillance after all, darkness passes my eyes and suddenly light bursts in front of me, I feel something hit my chest and see golden locks before the woman looks up, leaving me staring into blue eyes "just like sapphires... you have beautiful eyes." I look up, she cane from in front three men, one wielding a sword covered in golden blood, he must be the reason she's bleeding. The woman starts to back away but I pull her back against me "little one, the forest had to give something precious for my help, I suggest you stay in my arms for the moment, I'll release you soon." I kick the ground again and another magic circle grows around us. Lightning lands on the barrier just in time, as soon as it pops up, and I feel my mana dip as it gets used to stop the magic "mortals, I suggest you run, this wolf likes to eat monsters." I smile, showing teeth, and feel the woman tremble, from the way her mana moves through her body she must have cast multiple spells in this short while, and has over-drafted her mana pool, I place my hand on her back, just above her rear and supply some of my own. I have more than enough and rarely use even half of it in a day, so I might as well hand some over. "I dont know who you think you are kid, but you look younger than the dragon, why don't you go home and cry to mommy that we've bullied the girl and you, it'll be a better-" they fall, and heads roll. I turn around dragging the woman with me, and slide my sword back into its sheathe "idiots, if I'm so young how the hell am I able to survive in this forest. Come child, that wound needs healed, and your body is about to collapse whether you care or not." She walks but now that there's no danger I can tell she's barely keeping it together, I pick her up, carrying her in my arms, I can throw her if she tries to attack me but I don't think she will. "You may call me Wolf, it's not my name but you won't be staying long enough to worry about that. I don't want to know yours either." I choose to walk back to the cave, taking my time and soothing her before I bring her around wounded animals, I'm not sure how much control she has over the dragon, but I'll take no chances, I've saved the child it would be useless to kill her now. "Do you like music? I tend more towards instruments then words but since I don't have any here I make do. The forest has all kinds of sounds, and they form a beautiful music if you listen. not many people can hear it but when you do catch it the sound is glorious." She relaxes against me, I can tell from the way she's gripping my shirt that she fading into sleep and is only holding onto wakefulness by sheer will. Soon she'll pass out and I'll h e all the time in the world to decide why I'm attracted to a dragon I just met.
