Unsatisfied, Xiao Yining said before diving back into An Ziqi's arms and finding a comfortable position.

An Ziqi gently ruffled his hair.

Xiao Moli frowned, the kid was getting under his skin more and more.

With a smirk, Xiao Yining glanced at him and then opened the dessert box on the table.

"Oh, cake."

His eyes lit up instantly. An Ziqi loved sweets, and it seemed Ningning had started to like them too.

"Kids who eat sweets at night will get tooth decay."

Xiao Moli snatched the cake from his hand and placed it in front of An Ziqi.

"I brought this back on the way home, you try."

Xiao Yining looked at him disdainfully.

Their home was at least half the city away from where his dad had been. There was no 'on the way', he had clearly bought it on purpose but insisted it was coincidental. Daddy was really losing his charm.
