Chapter 6: End of Duel
"Launch the Witch Hunt Magic Card!"
Youyu confidently pressed the button on the duel plate, causing the cards covering the field to flip over.
Among them was a normal magic card called Witch Hunting. It depicted a wooden cross, a weeping woman on her knees with a rope, and an executioner wearing a golden helmet and holding a long knife.
Witch Hunting was not a rare card. According to the link world, cards were categorized into N card, NR card, R card, SR card, UR card, and the rarest USR card.
The magic card Witch Hunting had a rarity level of N, making it one of the most common and lowest-level cards. It was incredibly easy to acquire.
Although Youyu didn't have the initial card set, he had exchanged for it in advance using the coupons provided by the system when he created his account. He specifically wanted to deal with this hidden mission. (Besides, the novice card coupons given by the system didn't seem redeemable for anything else useful.)
It proved to be a deadly killer against Pandora's deck.
"Witch hunting is a card that instantly destroys all magician-type monsters on both sides of the field," Youyu chuckled. "Even the most advanced Black Magician you have is no exception!"
"What...what!?" Pandora's face suddenly changed, and his white mask almost fell off.
"Is there really such a card?"
Nevertheless, Pandora's refusal to accept it was in vain. He could only watch his two ace monsters, the Black Magicians, being engulfed by the powerful magic of Witch Hunting and turning into ashes under the overwhelming force of the magic card.
"...Impossible, how could there be such a card?" Pandora's face contorted, and he started questioning this impossibility. "No, even before that, how did you...know that I would use a Black Magician? A magic type card?"
Facing Pandora's shocked questioning, Youyu simply shrugged.
He was indeed right. Youyu had been waiting for him for most of the night, and he knew Pandora had a Black Magician. And of course he will use it, is a powerful card after all, why wouldn't he….Well maybe he wouldn't, so this was a risky strategy.
Pandora didn't seem to find anything amiss with Youyu activating a normal magic card on the opponent's turn. He seemed to think that the effect of Witch Hunting was almost like a counterfeit card...
...That being said, as a member of Gurus, the largest counterfeit card group in the world of Yu-Gi-Oh, he didn't really have the standing to accuse others of using fake cards. (Not to mention nobody else did either.)
"Then it's my turn!"
The duel continued.
At this moment, Pandora deeply regretted his choices.
Although the magic card "Curtain of Black Magic" had the powerful effect of summoning a Black Magician directly from the deck, it had its side effects.
Using this magic card required sacrificing half of his life points, and the player couldn't perform any form of monster summoning during the turn it was activated.
In fact, in this round, he could have allowed the Black Magician on the field to attack and secure victory. However, he had to pretend to be extravagant, and his 1900 life points had gone to waste
If he hadn't used the Black Magic Curtain this round, even if the Black Magician on the field was destroyed by Witch Hunting, he would still be able to use the Black Magic Curtain to summon another one. He wouldn't be left with an awkwardly empty field like he was now.
But it didn't matter. He still had 1900 LP remaining.
The kid opposite him had already summoned the Elemental Hero, with an attack power of 1600, it was mostly likely his trump card. With his field empty, the next round might not bring a monster capable of dealing the remaining 1900 points of damage.
Pandora began to console himself.
As long as he could survive to his next turn, he would still have a chance!
"Draw a card!"
Youyu glanced at the card he drew: "Summon Elemental Hero Sparkman!"
Electric currents crackled, and a slender blue warrior soared out through the holographic projection.

The sword blade, enveloped in electric light, dominated Pandora's field of vision. Pandora let out a scream, desperately shielding his head with his arms.
The thunderous sword strike landed, delivering an actual impact. Pandora screamed, rolled his eyes dramatically, and collapsed on his back.

At the same time, the system prompt appeared before Youyu's eyes.
"The hidden mission challenge from Gurus is complete!
You have obtained the reward [Black Magician]. Please check it in the system card library."
Youyu felt satisfied.
He immediately opened his card library and examined the newly acquired Black Magician.The card image of the Black Magician was the same as the red-armored version in Pandora's hand.
He was content.
After all these years since the launch of the Link World, only a few players managed to obtain the Black Magician. Getting such a card was already considered a great achievement.
During the Duel Monsters era, when the cards weren't as extravagant, the complete set of Black Magicians was still formidable.
Youyu put away the duel plate with satisfaction, turned around, and prepared to leave. However, he couldn't help but glance back at Pandora, lying paralyzed on the ground and rolling his eyes.
While watching the Duel Monsters anime, Youyu had always wanted to complain. It was just a card game, yet the members of the Gurus group would collapse dramatically after losing one after another, as if struck by a giant sword.
Even in a regular duel, there would be some impact damage, but their reactions seemed overly exaggerated.
Could it be that their leader, Marik, had placed a curse of "losing the cards results in physical pain" on each of them?
That was quite ruthless...
Youyu intended to leave but suddenly remembered something. He turned back towards the collapsed Pandora, bent over, and pulled out his entire deck from the duel plate in his left hand.
"According to your rules of card gambling, I can get your whole deck." Youyu feigned seriousness as he shook his opponent's deck. "I'll take them all. Any objections? No? Great, that settles it..."
Before Pandora could respond, Youyu swaggered away, shaking the deck of cards in his hand.

Note: So I was going over the cards to check into it, and maybe post there pictures to, and found out that the author was getting there names wrong, unless I translate it wrong, already fixed one of the mistaken name for a whole chapter, I will be more careful to. I feel like a editor now haha.
I think now for sure I will post pictures of the cards, so that way you guys will be able to see them, and know the correct names, and other details. Though I will or at least try to put the correct names from now on.
Oh and one of the ones I haven't fixed since it was just mentioned so many times is the killer tomato, whose name is actually mystic tomato. Close enough…
