The first batch of cooking using her own ingredients had drawn more interest during the first couple of hours.
The berries that had been spent were slowly being made up with each purchase to allow Pixel to have some profits made after the expenditures for new ingredients were taken away.
The first day had come to an end and Pixel had been busy writing up a new plan based on what she had found was the most popular among the simple menu that had added on her fish skewers.
She considered what would work best in an environment where she would have to prepare everything and deal with many customers that would be dropping in.
Pixel, Micah and Cleo had found themselves a cheap inn to stay in nearby along with those that were with them.
Upon waking up the next day, it was busy once again and there was a much wider variety of options on the board.
New ingredients were purchased for them and began preparing each ingredient before the stall had opened for business.
The fish were placed on a food grinder a few times until it was ground up into small pieces, it had a coarse and flaky texture while being white in colour.
That process repeated several times for the white fish or cod that was to be used then other ingredients were minced into much smaller pieces.
Onions and celery was put in an oiled skillet with salt and pepper before being sautéed for five minutes until it was soft then left to cool down.
The onions and celery were then added to the fish along with a mixture of breadcrumbs, an egg and other prepared sauces, herbs and spices.
They were mixed together until they formed several small patties, once they had formed they were left to dredge in a bowl of flour and were set aside.
The process continued as more of the fish patties started to be produced very quickly with the aid of those assisting Pixel.
They would be ready before the customers had arrived and would be placed on a medium heat until it was golden brown after being cooked on both sides for around five minutes.
The preparation beforehand and them being ready to be cooked ahead of time would cut down some time that the customers would have to wait once they made their order.
The more satisfied the customer was with the food and the service, the better the response would be for the remaining days so Pixel wanted to capitalise on the experience and popularity that she had gained from the day before.
Other options were available besides cod patties which were salmon patties and crab cakes but there was an additional one that had been in preparation and the final touches were being done.
Batter was made to one side on a much larger scale along with the octopus being cut into small pieces.
The oil was distributed generously along with the batter being placed with the small amount of octopus being placed in the middle of it all.
The dough balls that were cooking were flipped over ninety degrees once the bottoms were crispy while the extra surrounding dough would be stuffed and pushed in to make it more rounded.
Once the time came for the stall to be open to the public, the enticing smell started to spread to those that were on their way to work or to browse the nearby market place and stores.
Some freshly cooked patties and takoyaki were having their first batch finished up for the first couple of potential customers but everyone inside had continued to busily work on the additional tasks.
Each of their actions allowed for the customers and those passing by to get a live show of how each meal was being carefully prepared while the scent lured them in further.
The voice of Pixel had helped to attract their attention as her voice that was filled with the effects of her charm move mixed with Conqurors Haki had drawn them to her. "Takoyaki! Fish patties! Crab cakes! New to the menu and with special sauces on request! Only available today and tomorrow! Five hundred berries per serving!"
The price had risen and there were various new options available on the menu that were not there the day before but Pixel had been careful to pay attention to her customers the day before and what they had liked best.
Most people just wanted something quick and tasty but there were some that were far more picky over the quality or time used to make them.
Each stall had their own recipes that were their most attractive part that would keep the customers coming back so Pixel had used the day before to research carefully her customers tastes and requirements.
Most people were usually busy and were passing by to get to another location so her stall would not be their primary destination to visit, her food needed to be made so that they would not be kept waiting around for too long and would have to be satisfying enough for them to either want more or to pass on to others about her cooking.
Even if they did not return during the remaining days that she would be there, there would always be others that could come if they were recommended by others.
The owner had left Pixel with the freedom to do as she pleased once he had arrived early to allow her access to the stall.
It seemed like he had something else to take care of and was only concerned about being paid enough by Pixel.
He had been intimidated by Pixel once he had seen the gap between them so he had given up on the idea of being a chef like those before him within his family.
He was happy enough with the way things had worked out and that he was being paid for renting Pixel his stall.
The berries earned through Pixel had been far more than what he had earned in a very long time and his daily profits did not even close on his best day.
The customers came in and more of the orders were placed in front of the customers as Pixel had accepted each of the five hundred berry notes one after another.
Meanwhile in another location, an old looking Lynx Mink was sitting with a black clothed Mink that had their whole body covered for stealth purposes.
The black clothed Mink had pushed a couple of disposable plates over that had various servings of what Pixel had made. "As you requested master."
There was a slightly damp patch near the mouth area of the face covering of the black clothed Mink which showed that they had drooled a little before placing them down.
They were neatly arranged in front of Rufus who had suddenly sniffed them excitedly to take in the smell of the food. "Oh.. these seem better than before. I can hardly wait."
Once he placed one in his mouth, his eyes went wide as the flavours melted in his mouth and left him in an overly relaxed and satisfied state. "Mmm… haa.. so.. good! More! Go get me more. My dear granddaughter.. you have really impressed this old man."
The black clothed Mink had wiped the face covering near their mouth and asked cautiously. "Master. Can I have one please?"
Rufus coldly stared at him then pulled the disposable plates closely guarded near himself. "No! Get your own! No.. go and get me some more and then you can get a little for yourself. That would be better. Now go."
The black clothed Mink had disappeared from his position quickly which had left Rufus alone enjoying his meal.
