Kate & Samantha

"That was the best way to put down a bully and a lectures guy in his place." A pretty girl sitting next to Pheonix said with an appreciative look.

Pheonix smiled and all six of them exchanged their names with him. There were three guys and four girls in the first year's Class S group.

The pretty girl who just spoked with Pheonix introduced herself as Kate, a tall and sturdy looking guy introduced himself as Fred. The one next to him was Victor. A blond girl introduced herself as Henna, a shy looking girl next to Henna was Niki and the most beautiful girl with a haughty look in their group simply said, "I am Samantha."

Pheonix didn't put too much though into Samantha's haughty expression as he was busy chatting with others.

After dinner, one by one all the new students got up and started towards the administrative block. After collecting their belongings, everyone started towards their quarters which hopefully will be the place where they will live for the next three years unless they performs poorly or they improve themselves and get promoted to a higher Class, in case of B & A Class students.

The envelope handedover to the student's contained their room mate's details along withe the key and a few parchments regarding the rules to be followed during their tenure at the academy.

The room number was mentioned on top of the envolop. Pheonix started to walk towards his quarters and decided to read the contents once he reach his room.

When he reached the entrance, he was surprised to see two girls already standing their with more than six huge trunks. They were talking to each other looking relaxed and when they saw Pheonix walking towards them, both looked slightly tensed.

"Good evening, which one of you would be living at Quarters no. 21 with me?"

"What!!?" Both girls looked taken aback and then looked at their envolop again. " I am sorry, but we both are assigned to be in the Quarters 21." Kate informed Pheonix, who looked puzzled and showed his envolop to them. Which made the girls more puzzled & uncomfortable.

"There might be some mistake only two are to stay in a quarters and I don't see this quarters looking different from other's. It's all the same. How can the three of us live here. Besides I don't want to stay with a guy. I am content to be with another girl." Samantha spoke with an authoritative tone.

"Unfortunately, you three have to live in the same quarters, and it's not a mistake that the arrangement was done like this." A senior girl who had battle training with them spoke from behind them.

"Senior!" Pheonix bowed his head respectfully. With a beautiful smile and a dismissive wave, the girl walked forward and came near the three who were standing within a couple of meters from each other.

"I am Tina, by the way. Don't be so formal. Pheonix isn't it." Tina brought he hand forward and Pheonix shook it smiling.

"Why do 3 of us have to live here? And I don't like living with a guy."

Tina smiled at Samantha's words. "You know what, actually you were supposed to be paired with that ugly fat guy who got knocked out by me. If you don't want to stay with them, let me know, I will rearrange it."

Samantha was speachless. Tina however continued speaking with Pheonix. "Pheonix I am in my final year. If you need any clarification or need any help feel free to ask me. I shall take my leave and leave you to enjoy the night with 2 hot girls." Tina smiled wickedly and started wlaking away from them.

Pheonix smiled at her words shaking his head in disbelief. When he looked at the other two girls, he saw that Kate was blushing but Samantha was looking angry.

Ignoring both of the girls reaction, he swung his bag onto his shoulder, " Ladies, its getting dark, better we move in. Need any help to carey the trunks?"

"No need, I can do it myself." Kate smiled and took two trunks one in each hand. When he looked at Samantha she turned her face away with her nose high in the air. Shrugging his shoulders, he picked up two trunks to take it inside.

"Don't touch my belongings." Samantha spoke with gritted teeth and snatched a trunk from his left hand.

Pheonix was slightly taken aback. He was just trying to help her and didn't expected such a strong reaction from her. He looked at her for a moment then simply walked inside with a single trunk belonging to Kate. Samantha following him.

Kate was about to turn back after placing her trunks when she saw Pheonix walking in with her trunk. She took her trunk smiling. " Thank you Pheonix. I truely appreciate the help."

"It's nothing. Besides, I was coming in anyway."

Behind them Samantha placed her trunks, turned and started walking out. Kate raised an eyebrow at her and looked at Pheonix questioningly.

" It seems, she hates me for some reason and didn't want me touch her belongings. "

"Well, she is the princess of the Welsh Province afterall. And she was under the impression, that she would be sharing a house with a girl and then you came. She must be totally frustrated. But don't mind her current attitude Pheonix, she is a nice girl. We grew up knowing each other. Give her some time to come to her senses. "

"It's fine Kate. I am not bothered by her behavior." Pheonix smiled and went around their quarters. By the time he came back, Samantha had also entered the house with the remaining trunk and was having a discussion with Kate in a hushed tone.

"We have a situation here. There are only two bedrooms. Pheonix pointed at the two curved staircases one to the left and the one on the right. On the ground floor we have a small store room, which have only room to place your trunks and nothing else. A reading room with Two chairs. A small area to prepare tea or boil the water and the Hall where we are standing now. Other than this we have an open space behind the house with some trees and a small pond!!. It's really beautiful, you can have a look at it."

"If you like it so much there, why don't you make the backyard your room? I am taking one room for myself." Samantha spoke coldly.

"Sammy, why do you say such a thing, besides, we can share a room. Let him have the other." Kate try to persuade her with no Luck.

Laughing out loudly, Pheonix bowed his head at Samantha. " You know what, that is the best solution anyone had given me recently princess. I will use the store room for changing. And both of you girls can have you own rooms and privacy."

"No, we will figure out something Pheonix, don't act like a hero. It's cold outside and it will grow even colder as the days progress."

"Nah, don't worry Kate, I am not acting high and might to impress. And honestly there is no one here for me to impress for that matter. Besides I am comfortable being outdoors since my childhood. You girls take a room each." Pheonix waved his hands and started to walk towards the store room to keep his meger belongings.

"And one more thing. I hate seeing men walking around half naked. Don't try to walk around like that." Samantha informed him. Embarrassed, Kate slapped her forehead by Samantha's words. " Sammy, we are staying under a single roof, there will be some embarrassing situations which we all will come across, don't you feel you are being too harsh here?"

" Don't worry princess, my own sister had never seen me half naked. How can I let an unknown person to see me like that. I don't have any intentions of letting you to take a peak at my pure and untarnished body. "

Samantha was dumbfounded by Pheonix's word and Kate burst out laughing at Pheonix's cheekiness.

"Kate let me help you carry the trunks. You can arrange your room later, as you like." Saying that, Pheonix took hold of 2 trunks. Amidst protests from Kate, he started walk on the right stairs. Taking the remaining trunk, Kate followed him up the stairs.

Seething in anger, Samantha took two trunks and started to walk up the left curved staircases.
