The Solaris Wyrm's egg pulsed with a powerful wave of heat, warming its surroundings and bathing them in soft golden light.
The egg's surface was a net of black murky spots. Within the gaps of the black netting was the brilliant orange light akin to that of fire, pulsing softly with the rhythm of a heartbeat.
Arthur was at a loss for words after seeing the egg.
…Partly because it was such a sight to behold and because he simply didn't know what to do in this sort of situation.
'What do I say? Nice… egg?' the prince wondered.
Despite the majesty of the bird's egg, Arthur found no reason to show it to an outsider. If the Solaris Wyrms were getting a new addition to their family, then he was happy for them.
However, he found no need for them to show him the egg. Something wasn't adding up. The Solaris Wyrms weren't boastful creatures either. They protected their young as viciously as they would their lives.
