LET DEATH NEVER SEPARATE YOU

WEDNESDAY 16TH JULY 1902 9:34 P.M

"We will prepare you for the wedding. Landub." she called and the young maid appeared from the side. "Take the Missus to the wedding room and have her prepared. Do everything the Missus wants."

Obediently, Landub agreed and directed Phantasy and like a pushover, she let herself be led away. A lot of things on her mind. They made a few turn which she was glad for. She was ready to prepare her mind for whatever await her next. She would survive this. And not only will she survive, she would get rich as well.

"Where is my luggage?" She asked the young lady.

Landub who was walking a step behind her replied happily. "In the luggage room. I am glad you are back Missus."

Phantasy stopped all of a sudden and turned to look at the girl. "Are you? Were we close?"

Landub seemed confused for a while. "Close...close...no Missus. This castle is never close. We are going to the room next door."

Phantasy stared at the young lady and saw how she tried to avoid her gaze in a guilty manner. Although she could not tell and wasn't a good judge of character she was certain this Landub had things to tell her. So she placed a hand on her shoulder and softly said. "Landub, I hope we get along well. I will be looking forward to seeing you frequently."

Landub cowered in fear and stammered. "Yes...yes..Missus. I will be your personal servant."

She wanted to tell the girl it wasnt necessary but who was she to refuse when she clearly needed information. "The castle is beautiful. Let's go."

Landub bowed and rushed after her, her small figure rushing to push the door open.

Phantasy was first met with a beautiful view of a wedding dress. Her fingers itched and she laced them with each other. It was simply beautiful. She had been expecting something old fashioned, but this was a dress that followed the trend. It was a bell shaped wedding dress, with tiny stones that shone on it lower half. The torso was carefully sewn with the tiniest lace she had ever seen. She moved closer and felt the dress in her hands. the material felt very soft and comfortable in her hands. It had a low neck but nothing too much to reveal a lot. Her beautiful clavicle will probably be in view.

Her eyes turned misty. She couldnt believe she was getting married without her parents consent. Sarah will be very mad at her. So will her grandparents. But the dress was too beautiful for her not to wear even if this was a fake wedding she was simply going through with it to avoid being thrown in a boiling cauldron. The arms she felt were made of lace that matched her skin colour. The gems on it did it not stand out too much she was sure it would attract attention once she put it on.

It looks very beautiful, even the behind was totally covered, with pure lace material not revealing her back. It was the perfect wedding dress she could ever wish for. The bell was overflowing and she felt the urge to jump in it immediately.

But there was one problem. She had always wanted a white wedding dress because she wanted to go with the custom but this wedding dress was blue in colour. The exact colour of her eyes and hair.

Landub excitedly moved closer. "Do you fancy it Missus, The Lord sew and designed it himself."

She frowned, feeling quite confused. "You mean he designed this and sew it himself?"

"Yes Missus. Just as you had always wanted it."

She tilted her head and gave the girl a scrutinizing look. "I am to believe a person who was a gold statue just few minutes ago, buried deep in the basement of this castle, had time to sow and design a wedding dress of this trend?"

Landub squeezed her sweaty palms together and looked to the ground. "I am sorry Missus."

Phantasy nodded and moved around the dress, "No problem, but why is the wedding dress blue and not white?"

Landub began to sweat. "Missus, that I do not know. I do not have the choice to know."

She was beginning to get sick of the 'No choice' answer, so she simply sent the girl out to get her luggage and prepared herself in the bath with milk water.

In her mind, she came up with different ways to avoid the most crucial moment.

She did not know how long it took her to get ready, but by the time she stepped out, she was looking like a totally different person. It turns out Landub was multi talented. From doing her make up to making her hair. A simple style of careless bun and a few decorative pins here and there but not too much so her hair still looked quite simple.

Walking towards the aisle, the tears sprinted to her eyes again but she sniffed it back. The make up was too pretty for her to stain it right now. She was very surprised by the number of people who were seated. There were young men and ladies and men and women in their mid age of life. They all wore white while she the bride wore blue. As she glanced through the crowd, her eyes landed on a young lady in red dress. Of everyone only her dress looked odd. Her eyes were red as well and she raised a glass to Phantasy when their eyes met. Phantasy did her best to smile back but something at the pit of her stomach didnt sit right.

Not when her gorgeous groom in blue tuxedo was staring past the direction of the lady in red and not paying her any attention. But no one seemed to notice. They all sat like obedient little puppies and simply sipped their drink or stared at her. The lady in red flashed another smile and her mouth moved but Phantasy couldnt catch what she said so she simply looked forward and concentrated on her groom.

When she reached the podium he gave her a hand and helped her up, his hand going to her lower back naturally. Inside of her she froze and quietly tried to steady her breathing.

He lowered his head a little and whispered. "Breath Phantasy breath."

She exhaled and glanced up at him but quickly averted her eyes. When he came to stand in front of her, his hands by his back, she caught him staring ahead of her again. And she felt the need to hide her soul if possible. Because she did not want him to see just how dark she could be inside.

The priest looked like a robot and in a robot like manner read some jargons from a book before closing it to glance between her and her husband to be.

"Do you Phantasy, take The Lord of Darkness as your husband and beloved for now and till eternity. Let death never separate you."

Phantasy was still trying to adjust her dress as she was anxious, but once she heard the priest talk, she froze and stared at him. His golden eyes twinkled mischievously and it almost seems as if his nose had gone higher. More arrogantly.

The Lord of Darkness?

Could it be...? Oh no...

He gave a wicked smile and asked. "Where shall we run to now, My Phantasy?"

She knew it wasnt a question. Like before this was a threat because his eyes conveyed the meaning. Once again, she was done for. Completely this time.
