IT'S THE WRONG SEASON TO COUGH

Saraphine placed her phone on the night stand and extended her small hand to check Phantasy's forehead. She studied her eyes before smiling.

"Hangover?"

Phantasy frowned and felt that the splitting headache she had was not due to alcohol.

"What...cough..cough..."

Quickly Saraphine moved back, wore a face mask and sanitized her hands. "Careful there...this is the wrong season to cough."

"What happened?" her voice came out raspy and she tried to clear her throat without coughing. Truly it was the wrong season to cough.

Saraphine turned her head to the door and saw sarah walk in worried but with huge eyes. She made a disgusted face . "Your face is swollen. So gross "

Sarah opened her mouth and yawned in her sisters direction. The little lass quickly sanitized her hands again and maintained a great distance. "You good? How is the headache?"

"I still dont get what is going on." she confessed and it made the two sisters give each other a specific look.

Saraphine decided to spill the beans.."Yesterday we played a game and the loser drinks. You know how it goes. Your dumbass partnered with Sarah and you two ended up getting drunk. So Sarah here was supposed to take you to bed since she wasnt as drunk but on the stairs..." she gave a look to Phantasy who was eagerly listening. "Sarah dropped you after three steps and you may or may not have hit your head on the floor with a little impact. But dont worry, the doctor said you will be fine."

Phantasy tilted her head while Sarah looked with a guilty expression. "Why does it feel like that didnt happen? What happened after I came back from Nicholas place."

Saraphine looked from Sarah to Phantaay. "You were with Nicholas? Sarah said you went to see Chloe."

"Why would I?" She looked surprised. "We dont even get along."

"Excatly my point. I knew something was fishy when Sarah said that but girl...you were with the god of wealth. M.O.N.E.Y" she spelled. "How much did you bring?"

"I am not sure. I wasn't given anything. I am not a beggar Saraphine."

Saraphine raised her hands and backed out, sitting at the edge of the bed.

"I dont remeber much though.."

Sarah placed a palm on her shoulders and sighed. "The doctor assumed that too. Must be the hang over. Its fine."

Sarah and Saraphine bickered for a while before leaving the room letting Phantasy gather her thoughts as they left, she took her phone and checked the date. She spent a night at Nicholas so it must be the third day already. Why did she not remember what happened yesterday?

Phantasy closed her eyes and felt a sharp pain shoot through her head. Was it a dream?

What was the dream about? Something felt too out of place.

Thrusayd 26th she met Nicholas and went to his house. Friday 27th he let her go. Now it was Saturday and she had no memories of what she did yesterday from the time she left Nicholas house.

Nicho she slept with me excuses las, was in his bed, an oxygen machine helping him to breath. A drip was attached to his hand, and the doctor was checking his states again. After being threatened by the Security team one who had returned about an hour ago.

Doctor Frederick sighed and turned to look at the secretary not minding the special Force Captain. "Like before, he is very exhausted. The stress is piling up but I will recommend you let him come to the hospital for a full body check up again. He is already due for one. When he wakes which will be really long..." he eyed the Special Forces Captain who had now kept his gun away after receiving a look from the secretary. "Have him take his medicine and give him light food."

After saying this, the doctor left shaking his head and mumbling under his breath.

The assistant was still pacing around the room, a worried look on his face. He glanced at the special Forces Captina and sighed. "Did we really not find anything there?"

The Special forces Captin rolled his eyes and confirmed again. "For the umpteenth time Assistant Brad, I was in charge of the search and we did not find anything in that cubicle. My men are still there as we speak. Do you want to call and ask?"

The assistant finally dropped the issue, but it felt like they really did find something there. He just couldn't place his hands on it yet but something was definitely fishy.

Just as he was racking his brain, the monitoring machine that was connected to Nicholas started beeping continuously alerting the doctor who was about to leave. He rushed into the room and checked on Nicholas before turning to the secretary.

"Quick call the ambulance!" the urgency in his voice startled Miss Selan and the rest as she immediately placed a call to the hospital. The doctor checked Nicholas again and shook his head. Although, this man looked peaceful with his eyes closed and looked just like he was taking a nap, his heart was constricting.

Nicholas was standing in the middle of no where. From afar, there was a bright light beckoning to him. He reached out his hands and pretended to catch it in his hands. Once he opened his hands, the light burned his eyes before going off. Seeing this, a pain surged through his heart and he clenched his chest, kneeling to the floor in agony. When he looked up again, everywhere was suddenly pitch black. He rubbed his eyes harder ignoring the pain he was feeling but it remained the same.

And at that moment when he looked around, seeing nothing. Feeling nothing.

Nicholas knew he was blind.
