A meeting, a wedding

Airport K...

Once the Yoons had landed, they were greeted by their escorts who led him into the already waiting chopper ready to convey them to the hotel they would be staying which was owned by the Wilsons but was in the name of their son Anton, Kant Hotel and suites.

The Wilsons were already waiting for them there and would start the introduction and engagement ceremony immediately, then the next morning would be the wedding and marriage registration.

Everything seemed too rushed for Tamim and at a time her head began spinning and she felt like puking. She managed to calm herself and closed her eyes hoping for it to subside as fast as it could.

They got to the hotel around 10pm. After exchanging pleasantries. The Wilsons and the Yoons got acquainted and exchanged rings with the bride, with the groom missing.

Eventually, the mini ceremony ended with laughs and smiles and they all went to sleep as they had a big day the next day.

The marriage registration was already taken care of by the Wilsons and all the needed wedding prep.

It was going to be a quiet wedding with only both family and few friends present.

The next morning, Tamim was already dressed in a white knee length fitted gown that had a round neck and puff out arms.

The material was lacy and was layered with falling little diamonds as it sparkled under the light of the room.

Her hair was tied in a bun at the back of her head with a crown to complement the parting of the hair, a veil was then added with a minimalist make-up.

She was given a bouquet and an hour later she was going to sign the certificate.

The Wilsons pulled up to the hotel with their son in a white well tailored suit overall he was looking like a star which fell from the sky.

The wedding was to take place in one of the little halls of the hotel, the bride was already present and so were the family and friends.

The unaware groom realized too late that it was a wedding his parents called an "important meeting".

He looked ahead and saw the pretty bride and wondered where the groom was.

Anton felt his father grab him by the arm and walk him to the bride, at first he thought he was going to congratulate the bride until he was in front of people who were waiting for him to say vows.

Vows?

What was going on?

He looked up to see his parents smiling at him and asking him to go on. He looked around and people smiling abruptly.

He didn't want to disgrace anyone so he thought I'll handle this later. So he took the vows and as he took them, Tamim's eyes and his met.

As they met, his brain stopped working for a while.

He was so captivated that he had not heard the priest say that it was time to kiss the bride.

Everyone started urging and shouting "kiss the bride!"

What is going on here? Am I dreaming, perhaps?

'One moment I was here for a meeting and another I'm taking vows and asked to kiss someone I don't even know'

He thought.

He stared at her and saw her looking down.

He was sure she was forced into this like him too.

He held her cheek using his palms to block her lips a little, before he pecked her on her nose. The people who thought it was a real kiss cheered like never before.

He might have kissed her on her nose but it felt like he did something more mutual.

After he removed his hands from her face, she stared at him in bewilderment as if she had expected something else..

Her eyes showed gratitude and hope.

But why?
