Chapter 22

I looked in the mirror of myself, Shelby came up with a headband "I like this one." I turned to her "Why are we here?" She fixed my hair as she set the headband down on my head "I can't spoil my best friend?" I took off the headband "I appreciate it but you don't need to."

She placed it back on the shelf "Jackson comes home today? Are you bugged by that?" I shook my head "No. I don't know. He's only here for a few days." She looked up "What are you guys doing for the 4th of July?" I smiled "We were going to go shoot some fireworks off at the lake."

Shelby laughed "She'll love it. She loves the lake." We started leaving and went to another store; we got stopped by Callie "Long time no see. What's up?" Shelby rolled her eyes "Can we help you?"

I stared at her till she said something, she smirked "Where's Jackson?" Shelby snapped "At home with THEIR daughter. Excuse us." Shelby grabbed my hand and pulled me away gently, I quietly laughed. This is why she's my best friend.
