Percy Jackson: The Child Of War

"Again?" I asked, my voice resigned. "Again." He answered, his voice amused. And then I would forget, not to remember until I died again. Except this time, I did not. ___ I don't own Percy Jackson, really, I don't.

Chapter Fourteen.

Displeasure was something that could be felt rolling off of my body as I stood in the presence of the gods.

They have already have come to a decision, I could figure that much. This meeting was pointless, they could have told me the consequences of my actions through a damn carrier pidgin.

My eyes trained on the ones that I had recent grievances with. Apollo, Hades, Artemis. My eyes bored into theirs, and I would not be backing down.

I could tell they were displeased as well. Well, Hades and Artemis were, Apollo just sat there like he was forced to be present against his will.

My eyes trailed toward Zeus, our gazes meeting for a moment before his Divinity flared in an effort to intimidate me.

Obviously, he failed.

Was I ready to fight them? Yes, yes I was. Would I win? No, no I would not. But I would at least try my best to take as much of them as I could down with me.

"Leonidas."

Zeus spoke, his eyes trained on my form as I looked up at him, not expecting much at all.

"For interfering with death, the fates are rather... Displeased..."

I quirked an eyebrow, ignoring how my father was suppressing a smirk, as Zeus spoke.

"For years, you have been meddling in the domains of Poseidon, me and now, even Hades... What do you have to say for yourself?"

Ah yes, the "Negotiations"... time to bullshit. I looked up at him, my face blank, and I kneeled.

"Grandfather."

I spoke, ignoring the confused "Huh", that came from Ares, Athena and Zeus.

"As you know, the camp has been recovering from a recent tragedy... one that took many lives..."

I lifted my head, looking him in the eyes, seeing his raised eyebrow as he listened.

"The only reason the camp has been able to recover was thanks to you, Grandfather."

He hummed, leaning his head on his knuckles as he looked on with interest.

"How do you suggest that? Was it not you, who defeated the Lion? The spoil of war that you received is hanging from your shoulder's, is it not?"

I nodded, indeed it was. He did have a point there, he had no credit in what I could do, but he didn't need to know that now, did he?

"You are correct, but it's because of you that I can wield just a fraction of the power that you possess."

He hummed, tilting his head back and motioning me to continue.

"As you know, I am the child of Ares, meaning, I have small access the domain of War..."

Not untrue, the connection was small before I widened it artificially.

"However, since my father is directly related to you, I have a stronger connection with lightning and air. I tried to use them in combat as little as possible, since I did not want to unintentionally offend either of you..."

I looked at Poseidon and Hades. Poseidon seemed like he did not really care, while Hades looked displeased. Nevertheless, I looked back to Zeus.

"However, the powers you wield are much too powerful to ignore. I saw it as... Furthering your legacy, a demigod reminding your foes your power by defeating them, even with such a small fraction of it."

Zeus hummed, rubbing his beard in interest.

"I see, you do make some valid points. We are related, and even if it was without permission, you did use my power with good intentions..."

Okay, you know what? I did not want this guy to fall for this. Ask some questions, please, show me that your IQ is not as low as I think it is...

"However, you did interfere with Fate of the ones that perished in the unfortunate attack on the camp, some form of punishment should be dealt out."

And just like that, I made this colossal idiot forget the punishment he wanted to give me. How did I know this? Athena's face gave it away, along with the Amusement visible on Poseidon's and my fathers faces.

And to think that I had those whole plan on how to make an elaborate lie to get out of this situation... what a let down.

"I have decided..."

Zeus declared, straightening up in his chair and looking down at me.

"Eternal servitude."

I blinked.

"You have been a benefit to the camp ever since you could wield a blade and dawn armor. You shall be granted Immortality and continue to serve the camp, along with Olympus to the best of your ability."

Well, that would not do at all.

"Grandfather, may I... Make a humble suggestion?"

I asked, getting a raised eyebrow in response and after a few seconds of contemplation, he nodded.

"As you can see... I am still young. Would it not be better to let me reach my prime before you bestow me immortality?"

Zeus looked thoughtful for a moment, caressing his beard absently as he pondered before nodding.

Well, that was that, I had bought myself time, now I needed to figure out how to deal with this situation.
