Fair warning I'm closely following the books, while changing some things like how strong their abilities actually are and how strong the God's actually are since they're in fact Gods and stuff.

Chapter 182: Lucian Vs Heracles (1) *Unedited*

[Third Person's PoV]

Heracles was wearing an old-fashioned white Greek tunic, and laced leather sandals, with the Nemean Lion's Pelt wrapped around his back like a cape, with the paws tied around his neck and the head covering his head, akin to a hood, while on his hands rested giant club. And he appeared riding in the backseat of Ares motorbike.

They both got off once they arrived before Lucian, Percy, and the others.

"Woooaaah, I recognize that Lion's Pelt design anywhere and that signature club, you must be Hercules!" Nico exclaimed looking at Heracles in excitement.

"The name is Heracles, not Hercules, Hercules is my Roman counterpart" Heracles said in a deep confident voice.

Meanwhile Clarisse looked at her father warily before looking away slightly only to see Lucian's weird state.

She leaned over to Thalia and whispered, "What's up with Lucian?"

"I'll answer that question with another question. If I said there was a god he would like to fight and battle with more than anyone in the world, who would your first thoughts be?" Thalia asked

"You're father without a doubt" Clarisse scoffed.

"Funny you would think that's the answer but it isn't… It's him, Lucian doesn't care about battling my father, he cares about battling the one labeled the strongest"

"What's with the back up?" Percy asked with a scoff.

Ares only smirk, "Oh he's only here to make sure you don't escape you lightning thief, all I had to say that I expected uncle Brimstone and seaweed to intervene in the retrieval and so to even the odds I'm allowed a companion"

Heracles looked towards Ares weirdly, not liking how he worded that just now.

"WHAT!? You're the one that had the lightning bolt in the first place! You were the one that gave it to me so I would be killed by Lord Hades! This was all one big set up by you to put all three gods in a state of war."

"Lying and creating such a fable to get out of punishment wouldn't get you anywhere" Ares scoffed but his eyes twinkled mischievously.

Annabeth then stepped forwards, "There's something I don't understand, if you had the Master bolt in possession, the most powerful weapon in the universe, why didn't you keep it for yourself you could have taken over Olympus by now couldn't you?"

Ares got a twitch in his jaw. For a moment, it was almost as if he were listening to another voice, deep inside his head. "Why didn't I… yeah… with that kind of fire-power…"

"This plan was too carefully thought out to be your doing, My mother I can see her doing like this, but you? It's just not your style, I thought you were supposed to be strong? I didn't take you for the subordinate type" Annabeth teased trying to get a reaction out of him.

"I'M THE GOD OF WAR! I'M NO ONE'S SUBORDINATE! AND I DON'T HAVE DREAMS!" Ares snapped upon being called a subordinate, Smoke drifted up from his sunglasses, as if they were about to catch fire.

"Who said anything about dreams?" Percy retorted with a growing smirk.

"Enough with the Talking!!" Lucian snapped, taking everyone by surprise as they all just looked at him as he was shaking like a heroin addict.

"I don't care about the bolt, I don't care about the helm, I don't care about all this talking! Do it at your own time!"

"Ahh… Big bro?"

Heracles, seeing Lucian's look, looked up into the night sky, and let out a sigh "You're one of those…"

Lucian was leaning forwards as a dark aura slowly slipped out of his figure, while his eyes glowed blood red, Lucian had a large grin exposing his canines while his hands were spread out slightly, "The Strongest Demigod in History vs. The Strongest Demigod of Today, our battle will be legendary! Doesn't it just get your blood pumping!"

"Not really… Have you even reached puberty yet?" Heracles asked, narrowing his eyes.

"Again with the talking, we can talk mid battle if that's what you prefer" Lucian said getting into a fighting position holding his fist close.

"This is why I dislike you type of people–" Heracles started.

Lucian charged ahead with a battle hungry grin, a large bust of sand exploded outwards from Lucian's sudden burst.

Heracles had a bored expression as he held out his hand Lucian's fist in his giant hands, a ring of sand exploded outwards due to the force of impact, "You Just don't listen and act without thinking"

Heracles twisted Lucian's fist back but before it could hurt him, it dissolved into black mist, it reformed in hand forming back his fist and winded up a fist punching Heracles in the stomach with a resounding impact.

"I almost felt that" Heracles grinned as he didn't hesitate to grab Lucian by the shoulders and knee him in the stomach making spit come flying out of his mouth as his eyes widened.

Heracles softened his grip don't knowing how durable Lucian truly was, before he flew away Lucian pushed Heracles arms away and grabbed his wrist and rapidly kicking him in the stomach to the point his stomach began a blur, he then used Heracles chest as a springboard and kicked his chin before moving Heracles head slightly upwards and landing back in the sand his knees and hands.

Heracles slowly looked back down to stare at Lucian and wiped the sand off his stomach, "Alright, you have my interest"

"Good, because I'm coming for your title Strongest Demigod" Lucian grinned, he charged in ahead with an uppercut and met Heracles fist in the middle.

Lucian was pushed back as their fist collided but rushed back in again, and repeated this action for a bit, kicking up a storm.

Heracles aimed to kick Lucian but Lucian jumped onto leg and leapt forwards. He then jumped again towards Heracles and spun in a rapid circle aimed a sharp kick towards his chin.

But Heracles simply leaned back, grabbed his extended leg, and swung him down towards the sand making more spit fly out of Lucian's mouth.

Heracles picked him up again and began swinging side to side before throwing him like a ragdoll across the sand.

Heracles now had a bored expression once more, "Is that all you got? I was honestly expecting more? And here I was growing hopeful"

Lucian just slowly stood up, spit to the side and wiped his mouth, "I was only testing you"

"Testing me? Aren't you a bit arrogant? You couldn't even properly hurt me"

Lucian's eyes simply glowed coldly as he said, "I wanted to see if the legends are true, If you're as great as the legends foretells"

"Well?"

A magical red and black aura flared, exploding from Lucian making his hair fly upwards while grains of sand softly floated around him, a black suit of armor slowly morphed around his body before a helmet appeared from behind him encasing his head showing only his red glowing eye while a cape fluttered out from behind him swaying in the night breeze, "I'm ecstatic" Lucian said in a low demonic voice.
