willing to take the risk
Ellen did not expect so many people to be willing to take the risk. So first, she looked at all the people that showed interest. Then she picked five whose condition was the worst to try first.
The others could still wait for a few hours or even a day since their cut has been minor, but this five seem to be at the gate of death.
"Tell me what to do," Jeffery did not dare allow her to feed the medicine to the men herself.
"Two spoons, each," Ellen handed over a bigger wooden spoon than the usual one eating spoon.
Jeffery collected the spoon and did as was instructed.
"What do we do next?" Jeffrey asked when he was done feeding the five men the medicine.
"We wait," Ellen answered. Even if she knew there was a chance that she was wrong, she still hoped her instinct was right, and the men recovered gradually.
