What is a martial spirit? "Tang Le asked back Yang Cheng En.

"Yeah that is what I asked, don't you understand human language or you are too old to remember what you just said? "Yang Cheng En retorted back at Tang Le.

In return, Tang Le just smacks Yang Cheng En on his head.

"Erhmm."Tang Le fakes a cough and said. "Now let me explain to you what are martial spirits."

"Martial spirits are something like a reflection of ourselves well... sort off. "Tang Le said.

"They can come in any form or size from the largest monster to a small needle."

"Some look like a normal human while others may even look like a monster from a storybook there have been cases when a martial spirit look like a shovel for farming."

"There are two ways to awaken a martial spirit which is natural awaken and forced awaken."

"Natural awaken is when a martial spirit is awakened by the user without any external help, the martial spirit is like an empty book where the user will determine how the martial spirit to function."

"While forced awaken is when a martial spirit is awakened by the user with external help, for this case it's like drawing a card it is random but you cannot change it so the user cannot determine how the martial spirit will function after awakening."

"And there are a few cases where the martial spirit is transferred to another person when the original user died. There are a few people who left their martial spirit for other people to use after their death this is called a legacy martial spirit."

"This type of martial spirit is like books that has been already written and pass down."

Yang Cheng En takes a stick and starts to draw on the ground.

The youth draws three circles and said to Tang Le.

"If I awakened my martial spirit and then I get a legacy martial spirits and have somebody help me awakened another martial spirit won't I become very strong?"

Then he linked all the circles and writes the words martial spirit under the circle.

Tang Le walked in front of the circle and used his feet to wipe of the circles on the ground and hit Yang Cheng En on the head.

"Do you think it is that simple? "Tang Le smiled while asking Yang Cheng En.

"Is it not? "Yang Cheng En said while rubbing his head.

"When a person awakened a martial spirit either through natural awakening or force awakening they cannot awaken another martial spirit if the person already possesses a martial spirit when they receive a legacy martial spirit the legacy martial spirit will take the place of the original martial spirit."

Then Tang Le just sees Yang Cheng En ignoring his while counting something.

Tang Le raises his hand once more and hit Yang Cheng En.

"What are you doing again, can't you just sit still and listen for once. "Tang Le scolds.

"Forty-eight words and I don't understand a thing. "Yang Cheng En said while rubbing his head.

Tang Le took a deep breath and said. "One man one martial spirit no extra, got it?"

Yang Cheng En just smiled to Tang Le and said. "See it's just that easy to explain."

"Take a break for five minutes then come back here."Tang Le then walks off to write something on the ground using a stick he found on the ground.

Yang Cheng En left and found a nice shady spot under a tree then he began to thought to himself what will his martial spirit look like.

"Maybe my martial spirit will look like a tiger or even better a dragon then maybe I can ride it around spring city when I come back in the future."

"Or it could even be a saber yeah a saber will be quite nice."

At that moment Tang Le words resound in his mind.

"Maybe it could look like a beautiful lady hehehe I bet that Tang Le will be jealous maybe it could look like mo....."

Yang Cheng En falls asleep under the tree having a sweet dream until.

Two dragons were fighting their destruction left Spring City ruined.

In a sea of flames, Yang Cheng En was standing in front of a man.

The man had the current city lord of Spring City under his feet then the man looks at Yang Cheng En and said.

"Who! "Yang Cheng En shouted ferociously.

"I said five minutes, not three hours! "Tang Le flicks his finger at Yang Cheng En's forehead in anger.

"Hey Tang Le I just had a weird dream just now. "Yang Cheng En tells Tang Le in all seriousness.

"There are dragons, fire, destruction, and this guy he had the old man under his feet."

"Tell me all about it later now let's continue. "Tang Le said while comforting Yang Cheng En.

The two walks back to their original spot.

At the same time, a man in a black cloak also experiences the same vision.

"Isn't that the son of the city lord of spring city. "The man in black said to himself.

A few of his subordinates who are following slowed down and looked at him.

"Boss what happen? "A man with a dragon tattoo on his face asked.

"It's nothing, continue moving forward to Spring City. "The man in black hurried his men to continue forward.

The man in black then thought to himself. "Isn't that the son of the Spring City's city lord?"

Tang Le continues where he left off just now.

Tang Le pointed on the drawings that he draws during their rest time and said to Yang Cheng En.

"Each martial spirit can have a minimum of one ability and a maximum of four abilities."

"These five circles represent the abilities that each martial spirit can possess."

"These abilities are called perks look at the drawings and tell me what you see."

Yang Cheng En looked at the drawings and rubs his chin seriously as if thinking about the meaning of life.

"Four circles circling one big circle, some dirt, a few pebbles, and your smelly shoes."

"I said my drawings not everything else. "Tang Le sighs.

"Now listen carefully the four circles that are circling the big circle represents the abilities a martial spirit can possess."

"These abilities are called perks, there are five types called manipulation, zone, gear, combat and special."

Yang Cheng En is in awe when he heard this for the first time in his life.

"Each martial spirit user can add a point into each of the four main abilities which are represented by the four small circles."

"Each person only has ten points that they can add to their martial spirit."

"Manipulation is how the user gains an elemental power, martial spirit users who add points into this ability can manipulate the elements that their martial spirit possesses."

"The user can use an element to perform certain techniques that require a specific element like fire or ice, or the user can use the element to his advantage like confusing the enemy."

"Zone is a special area that is created by the martial spirit that the user can do anything in it, the area is sealed off from the outside world when it is formed and only people the user allows can stay in it."

"Unlike manipulation, a martial spirit user can have a lot of different zones as long as they can create it; a zone is usually used as a support tool to boost the power or ability of the user"

"For example assassin likes to create zones that can blind the enemy or somebody with a water element can create a body of water to control."

"Gear is when the martial spirit creates a physical object for the user; the gear can be anything from a weapon, armor or anything you need."

"For the combat ability, martial spirit user who adds a point into this ability can have their martial spirit to possess a physical form and fight for the user."

"These are the four main abilities, but there is an ability called special that a martial spirit can possess."

"A martial spirit user that possesses the special ability cannot add any points to the other ability this is due to when they awaken their martial spirit all the points are added into the special perk."

"The special ability is not related to the four main ability so the special martial spirit user cannot use manipulation, zone, gear, or combat but they will gain an ability that is special only for them."

"The abilities can range from changing your body from solid to liquid to gas, possessing abilities related to the afterworld or something else."

"But they were quite rare, even when I was young I only meet a few."

Tang Le starts to space out all the sudden due to him reminiscing about his past.

"How do you know all this? "Yang Cheng En asked with a weird and confused face.

Tang Le suddenly looks at Yang Cheng En in shock and then flicks Yang Cheng En's forehead.

"This is all textbook knowledge actually you can find this quite easily in the city bookstore. "Tang Le said.

"Can you show me your martial spirit? "Yang Cheng En asked Tang Le.

"If I show you my martial spirit I'm afraid that you will be having nightmares for the rest of your life. "Tang Le just casually denied Yang Cheng En's request to see his martial spirit.

"It is getting late so any more questions? "Tang Le asked Yang Cheng En impatiently.

"Yes, there is one how do you get the ability to use Asurava?"Yang Cheng En asked.

"Damm I forgot to explain this to you! "Tang Le cursed loudly.

"You are really starting to get old I think it is time for you to retired. "Yang Cheng En teased.
